We've just got back from a 7 night stay at Tonga Towers with our family of 4 and overall it was a decent holiday, although there are a few things worth mentioning if your'e considering booking here. Hotel & Cleanliness Hotel is nice and clean. The rooms were tidied daily and communal areas were always well kept. Beds were ridiculously firm as were the pillows which meant I felt like i'd done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson everyday but that can't be helped. Pool areas The pools are a real highlight, especially the splash park area which my twins absolutely adored, they were in there every single day. Fair warning though, every single pool is absolutely freezing! The kids didn't seem to mind but us adults took a while to work up the courage to get in! It would also have been really lovely to have some music playing around the pool area or even some activites going on – it felt a little quiet at times and some poolside entertainment would have gone a long way some days. Entertainment & Kids The entertainment team were brilliant with the children and really enthusiastic, which was great to see. However, there wasn't really a structured programme of activities for the kids. You'd spot the team doing bits here and there but there was nothing planned that you could look forward to. For a family hotel, a proper childrens activity schedule would make such a difference – something like arts and crafts, pool games or themed sessions throughout the day. Hopefully something they could look into for the future. Food & Restaurant The restaurant area was clean but it was quite cramped, especially at peak times when finding a table became a bit of a mission. Food wise, there was plenty of choice and we never went hungry, but it would have been brilliant to see some themed nights – a Spanish night, a BBQ evening, that sort of thing – just to break things up a bit. One frustration was that a lot of the dishes weren't labelled, so you were sometimes just guessing at what you were eating which isn't ideal. Drinks The all inclusive drinks were fine and there was a decent selection, though like most packages you are limited to certain options which is to be expected. What did seem a bit daft though was that some of the alcohol free cocktails were available on the menu, yet you could order a shot of spirit as a "side" alongside them – felt like a bit of an odd loophole that slightly undermined the whole system if we're honest! Also some drinks on the menu were "branded" eg Aperol Spritz but it definitely wasn't aperol. On the whole though it was a great hotel for a family holiday in Majorca and we had a gorgeous time. But with a little more to offer the hotel could be so much better. I'd say a solid 3 star rather than 4, but for the price we paid it did the job!

Just got back from Tonga towers where we spend 5 days there. Me my son 8 and my mother 70 Room We shared a room 708. It was accessible - plenty of lifts. One with a glass side which my son loved to use. Our room had a king size bed in the bedroom area. A shower toilet sink with hairdryer and plenty of fresh towels given every day. A little kitchenette which contained sink / breakfast bar / fridge & a two ring elec hob. In what would normally be a living room area had been pulled out into a bed. And you can pull across a wall to separate the two sleep areas, there’s a large balcony to enjoy the sunrise / sunset It was comfy, very very clean. Food There’s a fair bit to choose from. Imagine it would get a bit samey if you stayed longer. But no issue with me personally.. what I would say some of the heated lamps aren’t doing their job, a lot of the food isn’t labelled so you’re guessing what’s what. Also your not making a full meal it’s just bits of lots of different things there’s no theme or meal you can put together yourself. Entertainment The animation team went past once saying ‘volleyball’ didn’t stop for a chat seemed like he couldn’t be bothered. Never saw them again after that. The entertainment at night wasn’t entertaining we ended up leaving most nights the arcade is good but the machines are dated. There is yoga etc but unless your going just adults only there is only sky bar you can do your yoga / tasting menu etc. like us we could experience it as my child was banned. It’s disappointing the actives aren’t round the main pool. Pool area There are sooo many pools. They are cold but not the coldest I’ve been in. The main large pool is probably the best pool I’ve been to. My son could touch the floor with ease which was fantastic for safety. It had so much accessibility it’s fantastic. Staff Reception staff brilliant. Warm friendly funny. Majority didn’t seem to be overly happy. I get there not on holiday it’s their job. But that’s part of the job. Location Can Picafort is a nice area of quiet the bees he’s are breathtaking but there’s not a lot to do to be honest. There is a lot of cycling so if that’s what your into then this will be the one for you.

Nice hotel, nothing special. Food just ok, but always only lukewarm, I don’t expect to have to queue to use a microwave in a 4 star hotel. Nice hotel, nothing special. Food just ok, but always only lukewarm, I don’t expect to have to queue to use a microwave in a 4 star hotel. Room lovely and spacious, well cleaned everyday and views from 8th floor are amazing. Bar staff good but drinks are only standard fare, had to pay extra for my pina colada which isn’t good. Beer ok, but was flat on some days. Pool areas are good but water absolutely freezing, I only saw 2 or 3 people in the water all week. Nothing much for children to do, there is a small playground area but no organised activities on most days. What really ruined this holiday for us is that they are building a big new McDonalds right next to the hotel so you have got the constant noise of this all day. The resort area around the hotel is not very nice, in fact it’s a bit run down with a lot of building work going on. All said 4 star it definitely is not.
