“Nice family stay at this hotel”

Hotel area (pool included) is very well maintained, everything clean, food tasty (plenty to choose from), good atmosphere, no complaints.

“A week in the sun”

A mixed review really . The staff were lovely at reception and room service and waitresses. The rooms were basic but worked . The pools were great but quite noisy with children . The food was mediocre really . Drinks were of a good selection .

Book in was very smooth and welcoming. Location was very quiet, 20 mins walking distance into main area of can picafort although it was to hot to walk, local buses situated at the back of the hotel, these were reliable and frequent. Book in was very smooth and welcoming. Location was very quiet, 20 mins walking distance into main area of can picafort although it was to hot to walk, local buses situated at the back of the hotel, these were reliable and frequent. Ting ting train stop outside the hotel 4.50€ get on off all day. Room very spacious with separate bedroom area, fridge, smart tv and a large bathroom with a walk in shower. Water can a bit dodgy going hot / cold. Room clean was hit and miss with times, this maybe due to guests leaving and getting rooms ready for new arrivals taking priority. Overall the hotel and all areas were kept very clean, with very fresh smelling products used. Food, same meals at lunch and evening always pasta bolognaise, chips and pizza. Fresh fruit, and salad bar always plentiful. A lot of the dishes were not labelled educated guess needed if you were vegetarian / vegan. All Staff are very hard working always busy, this didn’t deter their friendliness all extremely pleasant, and polite. Pool area, cleaned daily, open 10/ 18hrs signs asking not to reserve sun beds and towels would be removed after a time of non use which was ignored by many, even witnessing people going over the chain barrier to put towel on, before opening. I didn’t see any towel being removed, lots of empty beds just a towel on them. You would struggle to get a sun bed by lunchtime. Bar, can get busy in the evening and some guests didn’t understand a queue has formed, jumping straight to the front and even going to serve themselves with the wine on tap.

We arrived mid afternoon. Check in was simple and pretty quick tbf. We were given our key cards and pointed in the direction of our accommodation. We were in building four, at the back of the complex. The room was clean, modern and quite roomy. The bathroom was lovely. We had an issue with the hot water in the sink , but after being reported was quickly rectified. It is a bit of a gamble for the shower to be hot at tea time. The hotel is set around the natural park. Our view was the woodlands at the back. The gardens are nice and well maintained. All the staff, from the cleaners to the restaurant/ bar staff to the animation team all work very hard, but are still quite cheery and pleasurable to speak to. The Wi-Fi wasn’t brilliant but I think that was because we a distance from reception, where it seems to be at its strongest. The pool area is large, clean and very busy. The pool doesn’t open till 10am and closes at 6pm, although this still doesn’t stop certain people from reserving sunbeds! If you don’t get a sunbed till after lunch you will struggle. It can get very hot around the pool area especially if you can’t get a parasol. It would be nice to have sunbeds or some sort of seating on the lawns or in the shaded areas, not all of us want to lie in the sun all day, but still want to be outside. We didn’t actually eat at the pool bar although there seemed to be the usual choice, burgers, hot dogs, chips, fruit and some salad. The food in the restaurant was very obviously aimed at our European neighbours. Not everything was labelled up and if it was it was not very explanatory. It’s the same sort of dishes everyday. There’s a massive bowl of rice which one day is supposed to be paella (which was lacking any sort of seafood), the next day it was hunters rice (with no meat). The day after it was curried chicken rice (with no chicken). 🤷‍♂️. If you are vegetarian you will struggle. There are cooked vegetables everyday. Potatoes, carrots, etc. but nothing to go with it. It’s either salad or just veggies! Plenty of fresh fruit. I really didn’t know what half the choices were! Although there is a sign as you enter the restaurant regarding clothing, a lot of people ignore it and are not challenged by the staff. People entering with no tops on, people in wet swimsuits who have thrown a top on and bring a towel to sit on! There should be a policy at the evening meal of smart shorts and collared shirts. The main bar can get very busy at night. People ordering cocktails four at a time when there are only two staff on. Some of our European neighbours do not believe in queuing so it can get quite tense! I think they should make the bar adults only from 8pm. This gives those of us who are not with children a bit of restbite from them. I understand they are on holiday. But some parents just let them get on with it. After all we are on holiday too! It’s about a fifteen minute walk to the nearest beach, but it was far too hot to walk anywhere. There is a bus stop at the rear of the hotel where you can get the bus. Into the resort or Alcudia or Palma. They are very frequent and very reasonably priced. 3 euros to Can Picafort and 4.50 euros to Alcudia. This is not a party hotel. It is very family oriented. The all inclusive bar finishes at 11. The bar stays open till midnight but you then have to pay. All in all it wasn’t a bad holiday. I’ve had worse. To me though it’s not 4*.
