We have just returned after a 5 day break from 1st July as a couple with our 11 month old baby, her first holiday and our first time to Mallorca! We have been really impressed with the hotel, it’s lovely, modern, all communal areas are so clean, including all toilets. Rooftop bar is gorgeous and very peaceful! The hotel & surrounding area feels so safe and very family friendly. Reception staff are very friendly and all are fluent in many languages which was so impressive! Rooms are spacious, modern and clean, we had a family room on floor 1 with sea view which was beautiful. our balcony was huge, it got the sun all day and we had sun loungers & parasol. Noise wasn’t an issue at all, you could hear the restaurant chairs being moved every so often but it wasn’t an issue to keep you awake, or the evening entertainment (singer) which didn’t last past 22:30. Our baby and ourselves slept no problem. We contacted the hotel in advance for a travel cot which was ready and made in our room on arrival. All cleaning & catering/restaurant staff really friendly and look like they work so hard. They line up to welcome you to evening meal service which was so friendly & welcoming! We were really impressed with the food, we have previously stayed in many 5* resorts (pre baby) and this hotel beat the food we’ve had in other much more expensive hotels. 10/10 on food, lots of options and changed each day, you’re literally spoilt for choice! The only feedback we would give is the restaurant opening times. 07:45 in the morning for breakfast and 18:30 opening on the dot in the evening is quite late, especially when you have small children. We found it a long time for our baby to wait to eat in the evening, but that’s just our schedule now as she’s usually asleep by 19:30 (no more late evenings) We would have appreciated the option to be able to eat from 17:30 - 18:00pm or have an option for room service so you have more flexibility around meal times, especially if you’re half board and don’t have lunch option. (Lunch is available from 13:00 - 14:30, but we didn’t make it as we usually needed to eat by 12:30) Drinks were also lovely, we were half board so paid for these, but priced in line with what you’d expect €5 for sangria etc, it’s lovely, try the Cava one! Cocktails €9 but really really good, Hugo Spritz, Mojitos & frozen Margaritas were gorgeous, at the bar by the pool 10/10!! There’s a kettle in your room and mini fridge, no tea or coffee but we brought our own & got milk from the supermarket. There is a free water dispenser on each floor of the hotel, we didn’t use this but many did & refilled their their water bottles. We stuck with bottled water for our baby, just incase. Hotel wasn’t overly busy, always able to get a table for a drink, or food or a sun lounger but we did stay around the children’s pool. It looked like adults where reserving sunbeds around the adult pool from 7am, but happy to say this wasn’t an issue around the children’s pool at all, we mostly saw the same family’s each day but non felt like they needed to reserve which was super refreshing to see, means we didn’t feel the need to rush down each morning. You do have to pay to use the hotel beach towels, pay a deposit on arrival and €20 a towel at checkout, which we found slightly odd. Other hotels we have stayed at have used a token system, to change towels each day and return them each evening with refundable deposit on checkout - this actually prevents people from reserving beds too because you return them at the end of the day, but it wasn’t an issue just something we found odd but we was half board, not sure if you still have to pay if you’re all inclusive. Location - 45 min transfer from the airport, really smooth process with Jet2 - no complaints, we only had one other drop off on our transfers. There’s a few hotels in the area but they’re all very close by. The new immigration system in place at Palma was ok, took around 20 mins to process through for images & finger prints. Then you have to join another queue if you have children under 12years, but it wasn’t as bad as we thought, whole process took around 30mins on arrival. On your return journey home, don’t linger in Duty Free once you have gone through security, there is another immigration check with the machines again / finger prints or a manual check & queue with children under 12years before you get to your departure gate. This took around 20-30 mins with a small queue. Go straight to your gate after security, as there are more food options through there. Many still look like they choose to sit and wait in the area past security, then chose to go to the gate nearer departure time, then had to be pulled out of the queue for the immigration line as their flight was leaving, staff would call out imminent flights to check if they was in this queue to get them through, which looked stressful. I imagine in peak school holidays those queues are going to be big! So get there early, go straight through and get food on the other side and you’ll have plenty of time, as security is super quick! It’s a quiet area, at the end of the street on the right is a supermarket opposite the salt lakes, which sells everything you’d need. We purchased snacks & drinks daily! If you keep going there is a small strip of bars / restaurants & small shops, we walked it in around 10/15 mins, it’s all flat and accessible with prams. In the other direction which is accessible from the back of the hotel too along the coastal path, which is lovely in the evening, it goes along the back of other hotels & a very popular running route! There’s steps in the rocks every so often into the sea if you fancy a dip! You come to a gorgeous sandy beach, appeared very popular with the locals. The whole area feels so safe and clean, myself & husband commented on how safe it felt, especially going away with a baby, with lots of local residents of all ages, running / cycling, so friendly and lots of families with children, enjoying the beach and sea past 8pm midweek which was lovely to see. Just to add - The hotel does accommodate large groups of young teenagers who appear to use the local swimming training pool not far from the hotel. We had no issue with this whatsoever, they literally look like they eat & sleep at the hotel and then walk to the training pool each day with their coaches/trainers & group. There was many nationalities & training groups and we found them all to be polite and well behaved, we had no complaints. They didn’t seem like they used the hotel pools just its accommodation. Would not be a reason to be put off the hotel at all. Overall we would recommend and return to this hotel, area & Mallora! What a wonderful time we had Thankyou

This is a very nice hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful the rooms are very clean and tidy and a sea view is definitely recommended The breakfast is very nice with lots of choice and very fresh The area is also very nice well worth a visit if you like it chilled out and quiet My only thing negative is there are lots of teenage kids in the hotel and the pool can get very rowdy and loud at times so if you want a relaxing calm break maybe not the place for you The adults only universal next door we would consider next time as the chain are quality hotels and service

“Hotel stay won’t show England World cup game”

We are currently staying at Hotel Romantica, we have no complaints about the hotel itself as it is very clean and modern. The rooms are clean, there is a kettle provided but you do need to bring your own tea and coffee etc. The location is right on the sea, however there was a no direct beach access but a couple of beaches close by. You can swim in the sea from the bathing platform/ rocks outside the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. We have one complaint which involved the World Cup. In the bar every night they have advertised and shown all the matches regardless of the times, however when England played this was neither advertised or shown. When asked if this was being shown we were told no. We were able to watch the game in the room but the internet on the tv kept crashing, therefore we kept missing the game . The hotel caters for all nationalities and this makes the holiday but I don’t understand why the hotel will not show the England game. The hotel clientele is international families / couples not groups of same sex rowdy people.
