We recently stayed at Universal Hotel Romantica as part of a wedding group. From the moment we arrived we were looked after very well by all hotel staff. From HK to management, we were greeted every day with hello, asking how our day was. We stayed on B&B so that we could enjoy the restaurants nearby and at the port area. Breakfast was superb every day with so much choice to suit everyone. We were always served swiftly at the pool bar and thought the bar prices were very reasonable. Again, the staff were friendly and always had time to chat with us. It did get busy towards the end of our first week due to the Half Term holiday, however we managed to get sun loungers every day. Our room and all public areas were spotlessly clean, our towels were changed daily. There is a charge to hire pool towels, however the deposit was immediatley returned to us on checkout. Overall a great holiday, no cons, just pro's.

We have just recently stayed as a big family group. We absolutely loved this hotel. The bedrooms are lovely, we had a family room which consisted of 3 single beds and a pull out sofa bed. Beds are lovely and comfortable. There wasn’t much space left after the 4 beds being out, however the rooms are big enough! The bathrooms are gorgeous, a very clean hotel! Rooms were cleaned every day and the staff are very kind and pleasant. We stayed bed and breakfast although some nights we paid extra to use the buffet evening meal option, this wasn’t expensive! Cost us around €75 for 2 adults 2 children. The food was great, my children loved the breakfast options everyday! I will say that there isn’t much around the hotel, there is a supermarket not too far away, a cafe outside the hotel and a restaurant close to the supermarket. We also went to Dughi’s Smash Burgers twice which is around a 3-4 minutes walk away, highly recommended there! If we come back I would absolutely do all inclusive next time. The evening entertainment was always great. We went up to the sky bar most nights, a great atmosphere up there. Very chill but lovely music. The little train stops right outside the hotel every hour and will take you down to the beach which was very convenient. We would definitely return again.

Stayed here at end of May 2026 - family of 4 2 adults & 2 children (1 & 6yo). Firstly the location of this hotel is great if you want somewhere that offers access to seafront walks, close to beaches, some local minimarkets and restaurants, there is also a very pleasant 10-20 minute walk to the busier part of town beside the marina which is worth visiting also. The hotel was busy during our stay with a mix of families and swimmers (attending an open water swimming festival in the town) however for the most part the hotel could handle the numbers. One issue I would highlight is the speed of service at the bar during the busier times (8pm-10pm) perhaps they need some extra hands to support the demand. The staff throughout including reception, food and beverage, maintenance and cleaning were friendly, approachable and happy to help. The hotel had a kids club offering from 10-2pm and 3pm til dinner and a mini disco from 8pm-9pm. Kids could come and go as needed and our eldest loved it. They did some crafting which help keep them out of the hot mid day sun, but also had some water activities in the kids pool. The food in the buffet was very good, we were All-Inclusive and had breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel and the selection was always good, with some core offerings for each meal but then some varying options each day to allow variety and some local and international options too. There are some restaurants a short walk for those that are eating out and one very close to the hotel which we tried and loved called Cafe & Sal. there is also a rooftop bar open in the evening and the cocktails are very good, again service can be slower during peak times but the views and sunsets are worth it. To summarise, if you want a family holiday in Mallorca in a relaxed and friendly town, in a nice hotel, with nice staff, decent food & drink offerings and plenty for kids to do, this is the place.
