Me my wife and 8 week old baby are currently staying at Costa verde, and what can we say wow. Normally we like to spend abit extra and go 4/5 star but wanted a cheap last minute break to take the little one away and see how he was! From the moment we got there until now it’s been nothing but a joy, the staff are amazing and very attentive the food is well above average and the drinks are very well managed with the all inclusive alcohol at lunch and dinner freely available from the upstairs bar… every single member of staff has been amazing, I wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews… every expectation has been blown well out of the water from reading other reviews! For a 3 star hotel it’s exceptionally clean and is very very warming in the communal areas such as bar and pool, we have stayed in many worse 5 star resorts in Majorca and other parts of Europe Cons: there are no major cons! Rooms maybe abit outdated but exceptionally clean with fresh bedding and towels every day. ( comfy beds aswell) €1 deposit for cups at the bar, a 3 star hotel with plastic cups is rare as it is! Embrace it! Cocktails machine is very slushy but other than that if you can put these minor cons behind it’s easily a 4 star hotel! And a good 4 star at that!! We will definitely be returning for a last minute cheap break I could think of no where better to be for the price and location it’s on the edge of town so no late noise but a lovely atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks in the evening

Firstly I just want to start off by saying this is definitely a hotel that is of the higher end of a 3 star.. I’m just finishing my 5 night stay with my husband and our 8 week old baby for our first family holiday. That being said there are pros and cons to this hotel. The hotel staff, especially at reception, could not have been nicer. Where we have brought our 2 month old on his first holiday, they have been so kind and friendly. You have to pay a deposit for a kettle, no one tells you that this is a cash deposit, the receptionist could see the panic on my face needing to make bottles for our baby and just gave me the kettle anyway. The next day we realised that it was in fact crazy hot so we went down to hire a car. They were so helpful on reception and a quick turnaround of getting a car to us. However, note that it is actually probably a lot more expensive than other places you can hire a car (by far!) and they come and get you from the hotel to get your details sorted etc, but when you return the car, they will not give you a lift then back to your hotel, nor will they call you a taxi. They just say ‘not possible’. The rooms are outdated, but clean! The curtain rail pole being held up by a bit of cord, and there was no plug for the sink. But nothing wrong with any of the cleanliness. A couple of negative points though.. the aircon in the room is lovely when it’s first put on, it doesn’t have the capacity to still be cold throughout the night if left on for a long period of time. What we did is we opened the balcony door for the breeze in the night to give the aircon a break, but once it had the break and switched back on it was lovely and cold again. For the 6 alcoholic drinks you can have in the all inclusive, you have to pay €1 per cup ‘deposit’ but we gave back 4 cups and got given €1, this is for even soft drinks covered in the all inclusive. Although it is plastic cups, not paper like normal 3 star hotels. The reception team were so lovely, the night Germany played in the World Cup, there was a group of lads that were very rowdy at around 6pm, so much it overwhelmed our baby and we just spent the evening in the room calming him down. The reception team picked up on this straight away and told us they would deal with it when they saw us going up to the room early. We didn’t have any other issues like this, everyone was so lovely otherwise. The food was good, the croissants were so lovely and they had a lovely selection on the lunch we did eat down there. We do like to explore for food, there is a lovely Indian/Kebab place down the road called Antalya and we ate there every night, it was sensational. Even people we spoke to and recommended it to said the Indian was the best they’d ever had, would highly recommend. I especially want to call out Tara, Mohamed and Allal on reception, they could not have been more lovely, accommodating and kind to us for our first family holiday. We are looking to return for a cheap getaway later this year, but definitely one if you want a cheap getaway inbetween big yearly holidays.
