Great location and clean rooms, but the food is a major letdownI have been staying at Hotel City for several years now, and while it has some unbeatable advantages, certain aspects have unfortunately not improved over time. The absolute best thing about this hotel is its location, as it is situated just a short distance from the airport and a taxi ride takes only about 7 minutes. Public transport is also very convenient because there is a bus stop just a 3-minute walk away, and the beach is incredibly close, taking only about 2 minutes to reach on foot. Additionally, the surrounding area is lively and full of various shops and restaurants. Regarding the hotel itself, the cleanliness is commendable and housekeeping cleans the rooms every single day. However, the hotel infrastructure has its flaws because the elevators are simply not sufficient for the capacity of the hotel, which results in long wait times. Another issue is the main dining hall, where the air conditioning is always set much too high, making the environment uncomfortably cold. Unfortunately, the food is a chapter by itself. Having visited this hotel for years, I can confidently say that the meals are always the same. The food is either completely tasteless or heavily oversalted, the meat is often tough and rubbery, and the buffet consists of way too many deep-fried, processed frozen foods. After just three days of eating here, you simply lose your appetite and do not want to see the hotel food anymore. If you want a clean hotel in a perfect location, Hotel City is a solid choice, but I highly recommend booking it without half board or all inclusive, and eating out in the local restaurants instead.
