It isn’t just beautiful — it’s soulful. The moment you arrive, you feel the island’s energy — quiet, natural, and pure. Teranka blends into this environment in a way that feels intentional and emotional. It’s built with architecture that breathes, art that surprises you in the best way, and a sense of calm that resets your mind. Rooms: Flawless. Minimal, but warm. Earth tones, organic textures, and beds so comfortable that sleep feels like therapy. Private terraces are perfect for slow mornings, and the bathrooms are spa-level with deep tubs and rain showers. Vibe: Elevated but never pretentious. This is quiet luxury done right. No crowds, no chaos — just thoughtful details and a team that makes everything effortless. Service: Some of the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. The staff genuinely cares. They remember your name, your rhythm, and your preferences. They don’t just check boxes — they create connection. Food: World-class. Breakfast is exceptional, especially enjoyed slowly with ocean air and fresh local ingredients. Dinner under the stars is major — refined but rooted in Mediterranean simplicity. The rooftop dining experience? Unreal. Location: Surrounded by dunes and pine forest with the sea just steps away — it feels private and wild, but still close to everything worth exploring on the island.

Beyond our expectations. Teranka is located on the most beautiful part of Formentera. The beaches are spectacular and your walking distance to several restaurants. We celebrated a ten year anniversary with Teranka and they went above and beyond to make us feel special. The space is tranquil and beautiful. The staff is attentive without being overwhelming. Our only regret is not staying longer. The island is small but with lots to explore. Thank you Teranka, we'll be back!

Teranka was a lovely, peaceful retreat compared to busier Balearic spots. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet it's still easy to reach anywhere by car or taxi. We loved the relaxing boho-chic vibes and our clean, beautifully decorated room complete with an amazing waterfall shower. For the most part, the staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay. However, as a group of 9, we did notice a few service hiccups. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during our check-in, and dinner service was quite slow between courses. Given the higher price point of this property, we hoped for slightly smoother efficiency with larger parties. Overall, it’s still a fantastic spot for a relaxing escape to Formentera—just keep potential service pacing in mind if you're traveling with a larger group!

Just returned from a 7 night stay at Teranka with my husband. The hotel is amazing, if you're thinking of staying you really should. There are a few things that could definitely be improved upon, which i'll list below, but overall this is an excellent hotel. For context, my husband and i are 45 - 50 yrs old. We live and work in London and are used to staying in very nice hotels (big ones such as, Six Senses, Four Seasons, plus more boutique ones such as, Borgo Santo Pietro, La Esencia, Limewood, Heckfield etc). Pros - - The hotel is beautifully designed. You can very much see and feel the detail and thought that has gone into everything. - The pool is wonderful. Perfect temperature, never too busy. Sunbeds are very comfortable and there is a constant source of nice clean towels. - The restaurant is beautiful. The food is considered, tasty and nicely presented. Breakfast in particularly is a highlight. - The staff overall are very good. Seamless, professional, friendly service. - The services on offer are great. Ebikes, paddle boards, boat trips etc. - The hotel is set back from the most incredible beach. Rocky and sandy, clear warm water. Lots of walkable beach restaurants nearby. Cons - - The DJ playing on the rooftop 5 nights a week.. i'm not sure that this really works. It doesn't feel in keeping with the guests, or the hotel vibe - most of the people on the rooftop are not staying at the hotel. Teranka isn't really a 'scene' (and ALL the better for it), but the rooftop feels like it's trying to create a 'scene' and it doesn't need to. It also means that the live music in the outdoor restaurant is fighting against the music coming from the rooftop, which is very loud. So if you're eating dinner in the restaurant, which is a really tasteful and lovely setting, you're being assaulted by 2 different sources of music.. which is a shame. - Weekend staff not quite as good as weekday staff, both in reception and the restaurant. Forgotten orders and slow service at breakfast. - A fairly dismissive lady on reception whom we spoke to after our first night. There had been a lot of noise coming from other rooms on our floor (a large group of guests with several rooms on our floor, all going between the different rooms in the early hours of the morning making a lot of noise). She said we could move rooms if we wanted to, but we'd need to move rooms twice during our stay, as there wasn't one room available for the rest of our trip.. which is ok, that's not the hotel's fault, but they wanted an extra €400 per night as the rooms were in a different category. When we declined (we'd already spent €800 per night on the room we had) she was quite huffy and off with us. Which is not usual behaviour in such a nice hotel, so we were left with an unsolved problem and also feeling a bit uncared for. - Which leads into my next point.. whilst the staff are all friendly and helpful (apart from the above) they really do leave you to it. No-one checks in with you, or asks how you're doing. When we mentioned the above issue, there didn't seem much importance in solving what was an important issue for us (not being able to sleep for noise). So whilst they're friendly and professional, it's not quite the level of service you'd expect from such an expensive and nice hotel. - There is a smell of toilets by the far end of the pool (the side furthest away from the main hotel). It's quite bad. You don't get it if you're lying down the long sides of the pool, but it's quite overwhelming at times, at the far end. - The doors to the rooms close very loudly and the soundproofing between rooms/corridor isn't good. If you are a light sleeper, this is definitely going to be an issue for you. - Finally the expense.. the rooms are very expensive and are very small. That's ok.. you know that when you're choosing to stay there. The food is expensive, but again, that's ok.. it's fresh and well cooked, tasty and well presented. But the drinks.. the drinks are extortionately overpriced. A small glass of fruit juice for €12, a small bottle of water for €10 and a glass of Whispering Angel for €22 (everybody knows you can buy WA for £16.50 a bottle from Majestic!) Being charged those kinds of prices just makes you feel you're being ripped off, which isn't a nice feeling. It seems short sighted. If some of the above could be corrected, i really think this would be a perfect hotel and we'd definitely come back to stay again.
