Location great - easy to get to airport, close to beach (5 mins) good sand and places to shower off. Lots of restaurants, Aldi and other shops on doorstep. Visited marine land by bus (toddler pool there too). Kids facilities. Kids club is at set times 11-13 19-20.15 (possible but note dinner only opens at 18.30). Did leave 2 year old for a couple of sessions but was unclear if this was always going to be accepted. Mentioned if right staff were there, if he was unsettled was called quickly. Evening sessions was likely to be combined with older children so may be a bit more boisterous. Some sessions were at pool so would need parents. Stay and play may be possible depending on hosts (some fine/some noted best not so all children wouldn't be upset). Mix of basic activities, painting, playdough. Would have liked option to use room at other times on own. Small 0.5m toddler pool with steps. The sunbeds are quite close to the pools. Often people put towels down and left for significant time. Katmandu park. Went in the house a few times. Good for many ages including toddler. Different senses, music. Can take 30 mins. Soft play - useful to have on site. Note only open 10-6. Didn't have a problem getting in toddler area but did see others turned away for older area when full. It was just about enough for an hour and cool but would have liked access to ball area. The ball shooting section you see online is 4+. Need socks for everyone. No adults in older area. Splash park. Probably good for younger than 7. Slides were 1.2m height restriction. Changing near and paid lockers. Golf - had plastic club for toddler. It's different shape course rather than crazy golf style. Other park attractions. Could take toddler but didn't. Wasn't sure it would be suitable. A few small merry go around rides on site (added charge). Restaurant Do have highchairs but no other accomodations (standard crockery/cutlery) barring plastic cups but that is for all including adults. We brought an inflatable pillow to help toddler reach table. Did suggest a sign saying occupied would be helpful as juggling toddler, plates is difficult to claim table. Restaurant staff efficient at clearing and very friendly. Kids food was plain pasta and spaghetti (with sauce), pizza and some type of nugget/fish. Baby food available with microwave. Lunch buffet options at snack bar limited to 4 items of hot normally chips plus fish/burger. Normally went to main restaurant for lunch but was a bit difficult regarding nap timings and end of kids club. Cocktails mostly seemed to be frozen ones. Food was a good variety. Without a toddler would be tempted to do half board as lots of options locally. Gluten free and alcohol free beer available. Requested breakfast box for check out day to be told yes order day before and then told would open up restaurant early for the cold buffet options but preferred to have extra time for sleep so bought food from Aldi. Evening disco was at 8.30-9.30 . On stage some songs, an a visit from character. With show at 9.30 -10.30 (benches at front for children). Suitable for kids. One night had Mario film and headphones in three languages (German English Spanish) Bit of space around for kids to run around outside during shows. Token return for cups at end of night could take a minute and then there was a queue for lifts so had to be efficient if wanted to go quickly. Only 4 of each male/female toilets in lobby (more open when pool open but closed at night). And one disabled/baby change. Did have a family stall with adult and child size toilet plus smaller sink. Our room was on pool side so couldn't hear stage from room. Was a little noisy from outside hotel on Fri/sat nights. Room not the biggest, small wardrobe with half take up with fridge but expected and made it work. Note they had cbeebies on TV. Very accessible with a pram, wide corridors, space for pram at table or at entrance to restaurant, mostly level or ramps to get around. A good sized hotel but not too big to manage walking between park/hotel/pool. Plenty of things to spend pocket money on, candy floss, popcorn, air hockey, table football, small toy vending machine. Couple of playgrounds local but not on site.

Arrived at the hotel midday and couldn’t check in until 3. They seem quite strict with this. You are given access to the all inclusive as soon as you arrive. Pools and splash pad are really good. Pool can get quite untidy at times and noticed some rubbish wasn’t even collected. People do get up early to put towels down even though they say you can’t. We ended up having to go down at 7.00 just to get somewhere close to the pool for the kids. Katmandu house was a good experience and the kids entertainment and club was a hit with the kids. The rooms were really basically cleaned and we found the floors were always dirty. The biggest let down was the food. It was always cold, same boring choice everyday and tasteless. Found we spent a lot of money eating out everyday as we totally give up on the food in the end. One hotel I can say that I won’t be returning to.

Honestly for the money we paid I don’t feel it was up to scratch, a few nights of the week the night entertainment was amazing , however the entertainers for the kids mini disco were doing routines that were far too fast and complicated it was clear the kids were just left confused. I personally really enjoyed the food though I am not very picky. The snack bar does need more variety . Most of the people staying there were lovely however Brits don’t get a great reputation abroad and I have rediscovered that again from cursing at kids excessively to being extremely rude to me for absolutely no reason,. You really do get all walks of life from there attending the hotel. We come from the North of Ireland so it was a culture shock , I can see why the Spanish don’t like a lot of them😅 in regards to the Magaluf area itself it really does not offer much for kids to be honest I would not recommend this area at all unless you’re happy living out of Tom Browns like most of the tourism population there ,though I will say their food is amazing. . There is only really things to do for kids at the square which is quite minimal. The beach opposite the hotel is quite below averagebut I think there is one 10 minutes away that is better. One thing I will say is that the upside down house was amazing we really enjoyed it. The kids take the piss with the lasers multiple times my baby had it on his face though as I said per parenting. Didn’t encounter any drunks . One thing I wasn’t happy with was that the hotel were not at all keeping on top of people laying towels on the Sun beds, as I said this seems to be a British thing they seem to do this in every country. The pool get extremely busy we would attend maybe 30 minutes after opening and find it very hard to get one. The pool isn’t heated so it was actually quite cold for the time of year especially the kids , I would recommend going the week after us we attended from the 3rd of June but it really seems to have ramped up the heat from the 12th . All in all I would only ever return if It was listed at half the price it is ,for how poor the area is for kids, and for this to be a kids hotel they really need to do a hell of a lot more for the entertainment both adults and kids all together.
