The staff in this hotel are so lovely and will do their utmost to make your visit the very best. A special mention to some of the staff: Rafa, the guest experience advisor was so lovely. He came round the restaurant during mealtimes to check everything was ok with customers. And he sits patiently at his desk to book experiences for you. He will order the taxi boat for you. On reception Naomi, Tere and Sonia were very helpful and gracious. Any questions were answered and advice on where to go were readily provided. Pacqui in the restaurant was wonderful, cooking your eggs in the morning to your liking, or the meat and fish in the evening to whatever way you preferred. Sandra who was our cleaner in the room was meticulous. In the restaurant, a special thanks to Carolina, Angello and Sofia for their prompt service, and always smiling. We were in room 343 overlooking the pool. It got the sun in the afternoon. These rooms were quiet, other guests were very respectful of their neighbours. The hotel is a very short walk from a quiet fishing village Cales Font. Beautiful by day and night. The bus is about 1.50 for a single journey into Maó (Mahon, the capital.) €10 in a taxi, or €10 pp single journey on water taxi, or €15 pp return. This was our 1st time in Menorca, and we look forward to returning to this hotel. We stayed in the last week of May.

We recently stayed at the Barceló Hamilton and overall had a very enjoyable experience, rating it 4 out of 5 — largely thanks to its superb location, which really is hard to beat. The room was very good, comfortable and well-presented, though we felt it could benefit from a little more storage space. Cleanliness throughout the entire hotel was excellent, which is always reassuring, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. A particular mention must go to Monica in the restaurant, who stood out for her warmth and attentiveness. The pool area was well-maintained and perfectly pleasant, though it is on the small side and can get a little crowded, so those hoping for a quieter, more relaxed swim may want to bear that in mind. On the food front, the overall selection was good and varied, with something to suit most tastes — whether you're a fussy eater or simply looking for something a little different each day. The hotel also represents fair value for what it offers. Our one notable area of disappointment was breakfast. For what is always one of the busiest periods of the day, it felt somewhat chaotic and poorly managed. Dishes regularly ran out, replenishment was slow, and finding a member of staff to address this was often a challenge in itself. There were also small but telling inconsistencies — saucers appeared with cups one morning and were never seen again, and teapots repeatedly had to be requested rather than simply being available. What's needed is a dedicated member of staff whose sole focus during breakfast service is monitoring the buffet and keeping everything running smoothly. It's a straightforward fix that would make a meaningful difference to the guest experience. Despite this, the Barceló Hamilton has a lot going for it, and the location alone makes it well worth considering. With some attention to breakfast operations, it could easily earn that fifth star.
