Been a multitude of times due to staff (especially Cili and Harold) and cleanliness. Hotel itself a bit dated but bathrooms nice. However, the new owners may renovate, who knows. There were new sun loungers and outdoor furniture. They now charge for car parking which I understand but it could be a bit cheaper. We had no idea that it is now a dog friendly hotel which is a concern when you’re allergic 🙈. We still want to return to but not sure if that’s possible due to dogs but would pop in if allowed for a drink to see Cili and Harold ❤️ The lift was out of order twice during our stay so “stamina stairs” to 5th floor 🫢🤣 The lift problem was rectified quite quickly but there’s only one so not great when out of order. My heart still adores the place but allergies 🤧 take precedence 😞

“Good Hotel”

My Husband and I have just returned from two weeks at this hotel. We have stayed many times in this hotel. It is now under new management. Sadly it's not the same. The hotel itself is fabulous, you can't change the amazing views from your room, or the restaurant, our room was fine and always kept well looked after. We were met at reception by Carol who was lovely and most helpful, we were taken aback by the car park charges, a new expenditure. The reception staff Celie Marcia and Carol are all excellent. Harold the barman (he will remember my Husband the ice man) again is friendly and personable. Some of the new staff apart from one or two, don't seem to be engaged with the hotel guests. You can't order Jugs of sangria now, only by the glass. The entertainment was hit and miss, some good. Embarrassing that there were only a few folks there. The evening meal in the hotel was ok, again very quiet, we ate there on two occasions. We love Menorca and Es Castell, we shall see if it's the Agamenon next time.

“Poor communication”

Stayed for one night bed and breakfast. Average hotel, clean, tidy wouldn't say 4 star. Paid on arrival booked through booking.com last minute because of delayed flight.... I have made numerous attempts for an invoice to be sent to me with no success via telephone emails and booking.com no one gets… more

Stayed for one night bed and breakfast. Average hotel, clean, tidy wouldn't say 4 star. Paid on arrival booked through booking.com last minute because of delayed flight.... I have made numerous attempts for an invoice to be sent to me with no success via telephone emails and booking.com no one gets back to me! Its only an invoice Would anyone be kind enough to respond ???

“Hotel with a View”

Beautiful hotel, with the most stunning view. Perfect for a relaxing break. Amazing friendly staff particularly the ladies on reception and Harold behind the bar. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious.

I am sure that there are many of you out there interested in how the Agamenon is following the change of company now responsible for the hotel. After a very early start and flight we arrived at the hotel just after 10.00am. By the way the new EES entry system at the airport was no trouble and very quick. The same friendly faces on reception, Cili , Andrea however despite our room being ready we had to pay a €19 euro fee to access it, be warned as most uk flights are early you cannot get in to the room until 2pm. Not impressed at all by this. Very little has changed in the hotel a bit of decorating has happened. The rooms are still the same , the air conditioning which was causing problems in May has been replaced and was excellent in the room. Left on all day we didn’t need it overnight. Harold is still on the bar and there are few changes to the drinks menu. The pool area has some very comfortable new loungers. I suppose you are wondering why we were disappointed with our stay. It boils down to a few things one they are allowing dogs to stay, which is a big no no for us as it’s bad enough having to put up with the ones barking in the flats opposite the pool. However our main issue is the lack of quality in the food, it has been dropping in standard over the years we have been staying. The breakfast was ok but less choice, you can still have a glass of fizz! We did eat at the restaurant in the evening on several occasions and overall it was pretty disappointing in choice and quality for €30 euros per person. Given the lack of people dining in the evening each day we dined there were probably about a dozen. This speaks volumes about the quality of the food. They don’t post the menu at the top of the stairs which doesn’t help. I think they should consider upping their standards and start offering an à la carte menu. Sadly we won’t be having our annual trip , hopefully things will improve in the future so it’s adios Agamenon .
