Let me be clear - we did not stay there, unfortunately - we were stuck in Villa Senese opposite, and abandoned, unable to get in there. But Heidi of Bella Colina phoned the owner of Villa Senese - several times - eventually finding a human, so found out where we'd find a hideen key. We saw the rooms here, had coffe and drinks here, sat here in the fine restaurant - and wished we'd booked here for the night. It had the best possible breakfast, really helpful staff....and would have cost no more than the hellhole opposite!

A charming hotel just a few minutes’ walk from both the beach and the main shopping street in Peguera. It has that relaxed, slightly eclectic feel that makes it an easy place to settle into. We spent most evenings in the hotel’s lovely garden restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service just as good. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful – also at breakfast, where everything ran smoothly, even with our mixture of German, English, Spanish, Italian and a touch of French. When we asked to change rooms after the first night, it was handled immediately and without any fuss. Rooms are cute, with a touch of retro style, though the walls aren’t the thickest. If your neighbours enjoy an early-morning chat, you may well hear it. Heating doesn’t seem to be available; in early November the room did cool down in the evenings. Still, it’s a pleasant place to stay, and the pool area adds nicely to the overall atmosphere. Wines and beers were of good quality and fairly priced – simple, honest, and exactly what you want after a day out or a heavy workshop day (which is why we were there). Parking behind the hotel was easy with the hire car, and the bus stop into Palma is only about five minutes away, with the journey taking roughly 40 minutes. A final point worth mentioning: the hotel is full of interesting pictures and artwork. I wish I’d had more time to wander around and enjoy it properly. Verdict: A warm, characterful base in Peguera with excellent food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I’d happily stay again.

Great hotel. Location is fantastic for the beach, max 5 minute walk. Our room was lovely overlooking the pool and further on, the sea. Bathroom was well done, modern, spacious and clean. The room could have done with a bit of updating to match but not a big deal. No fridge which we thought was odd for a hot country (for storing water). Breakfast was very pleasant on the terrace, although hot options were limited. Staff were very kind and friendly, although at times it felt like they were doing all the roles :). Working the bar downstairs, so you had to wait at reception for someone to come back up etc. Overall, a nice stay, and as I say, great location for the beach. We used it as a base for evenings in Port Andratx 15 mins away in a car, which were really lovely, a huge range of restaurants, bars and a beautiful sunset.

The rude staff took alot of the enjoyment out of the hotel. Some hardly smiled at you or said morning throughout our stay. We got the impression they were not over keen of English guests and cater just for the German ones. Even asking for a glass of rose wine felt like an inconvenience for them and the response was “eh” When we checked in we felt like an inconvenience from the start , nothing was explained to us about beach towels, breakfast times, check out times, when asked if we could book a table in the restaurant we were told its full for the whole duration of our stay as it’s very good and popular , we went to the bar to book a couple of days later and the diary was empty ! we felt this was misleading and again made to feel like the english guest wasn’t welcome We found out the area in Majorca is called “little Germany” as it’s full of German people everywhere
