Zel by Meliá Mallorca | May 2026 | Visit without overnight stay I wasn’t a guest in the traditional sense — I visited with my girlfriend for an afternoon, spoke with the team, walked through the property and took photos. Worth mentioning upfront, but it doesn’t change what I saw. The terrace is the moment you understand what this hotel is about. Sun beds facing the bay, beach directly below, no rush. The Beso Beach restaurant behind it — rattan pendant lights hanging from a coffered ceiling, floor-to-ceiling glass with sea views, tables set as if the evening already started — has an atmosphere that’s genuinely rare. The lobby and common areas carry that warm, lived-in character that Zel keeps consistent across its properties. No hotel coldness, no design for design’s sake — more like spending time at someone’s home who happens to have exceptional taste. If you know Mallorca and haven’t been to the Zel yet, it’s worth a visit — even just for a few hours.

We have just spent the last five days staying at the Zel Hotel in Palmanova, Mallorca, and the stay was absolutely perfect. It is a stunning hotel, but it is the staff that made our trip so memorable. From the moment we checked in, my mother and I were so well looked after! Firstly, I want to thank Ana, who ensured we were so well taken care of from the beginning. A very special mention goes to Lette (Leticia) from the experience team, who has been exceptional throughout our entire stay. We met her on our first morning taking her face yoga workshop, and since then, she purposefully looked out for us to check we had everything we need and were enjoying ourselves. She is an amazing host! A true credit to this team. We also want to thank Kimberley from experience and Victoria in the restaurant, both of whom were so welcoming and hospitable too. Ultimately, though, it is the entire team that makes this hotel so special. From front-of-house and housekeeping to the chefs and all the pool staff, everyone works so incredibly hard and they never stop. This is a destination where customer service genuinely comes first, and every single member of the team truly cares. We cannot wait to return again next year! Thank you, Team Zel! Emma & Lynne

I haven’t actually stayed at this hotel, but I have booked it for my daughters 21st with a friend and we have been in contact with the experience coordinator Marta, she has been absolutely brilliant organising a cake, fizz, balloons and even printing off photographs to hang up in the room, so that when my daughter arrives she will get a lovely surprise. Can’t thank her enough such a lovely lady and she was so helpful and professional.

Beautiful location, very relaxed modern clean atmosphere. There’s so much going on be sure to check the timetable outside the Barre studio. Beautiful location, very relaxed modern clean atmosphere. There’s so much going on be sure to check the timetable outside the Barre studio. The chill out pool is so peaceful and the main pool isn’t too wild it’s a nice vibe. Rooms are nice comfortable beds my only negative is attention to detail lots of the bedding is torn or has stains on. There’s a stocked mini bar but no pricing, the shower comes with complimentary toiletry’s. We have a room facing the road the noise isn’t too noticeable but we have been woke a few times with people singing and sometimes a bit of music. The breakfast is 10/10 it’s got a heavy health and wellbeing focus, I’m not fussed about doing breakfasts but I’m enjoying Zels so much I can’t miss it. some days they’ve not had kiwis and you just request and tadahhh like magic cut up ready to eat. The staff are very quiet but polite.
