Locatiom was ok, atmosphere was good, good pools and daytime and eveing entertainment. Room was spacious and clean we was on the first floor and had view of the stage and pool. Food not the best! Not much english choice and when we checked out early on the sunday breakfast was cold nuggets from day before, a bit of salad and cold meat!! Bar staff were lovely i found it to very expensive, bottle of water nearly €5. I wouldnt go to lagotel again unless they moved to benidorm!

The following review is not aimed at the staff who work tirelessly to keep the hotel operations running smoothly and the guests happy. They are and always will be the best and most important part of any success. The stand out members this year being young Rafa and Christina both a huge credit to your organisation. You are all the reason people return to this hotel, you are the selling point. I would like to thank each and every team member. You can always do more for your staff. If you are not doing it for them, no chance of doing it for guests. Staff can only do what’s within their power. Don’t for one minute as higher management or owners put this back and staff and telling them they need to do more to get higher reviews and create pressure on them. It’s not them that need to be held to account The review which pains me leave negative feedback is as follows Another year and another visit to the hotel and somethings have changed The new check in process, slow, unneeded, unwarranted just a complete and utter failure. When paying this amount of money and you asking me to do the check in! No you may have the technology but messing around on phones with queues of people, tired kids and stressed parents this is not a welcome or happy check in process. This is not down to the staff member doing the check in, this is down to higher management and owners believing they know best. You don’t. I don’t want to hear oh it will improve whilst everyone gets used to it. Reality check it didn’t need to happen. There’s nothing to distract children whilst they wait? Paying for ice! Are you honestly doing this as a standard now? You are happy to put 2 ice cubes as standard in drinks increasing your profit margins, when you ask for a small cup of ice oh that’s €2! Behave! Are you monitoring the water from the rooms and charging me the equivalent to two cubes of ice? Are you charging guests for toilet flushes which use more water than some ice cubes?No then cut this stupid ice cubes should be included within the price. I’m going to hazard a guess that this has also come from those out of touch with reality. Yes I can buy a bag of ice cubes in shops but haven’t I already paid for water in the cost of the hotel as we have just established this. The food, the worst it has been don’t use an excuse of cutting food waste. It’s a cost cutting measure cheap as we can do it, more money! Dinner Chicken with dried banana chipping from breakfast thrown in on salad, fish with frozen strawberries mixed in? Green beans at breakfast and cereal at dinner. Don’t blame the chef his hands are tied due to orders. The live cook station sure cooked to order, but how long does a piece of fish take to cook? Then you have people waiting and queues forming because you don’t have any ready. This wasn’t the case in previous years again slow the process less food used more profit Same could be said for drinks in the evening. So many suggestions could be put forward for instant and noticeable improvements but those giving the orders from outside the hotel, their heads are up their own. Guests have been raising these complaints for years but to no avail, so I don’t have much hope for change. Serve drinks to the tables in the mornings a jug of orange etc walk around and offer that’s service! You can take away plates so why not offer fresh orange away from those outdated and horrible tasting machine drink dispensers. It’s Spain you have fresh oranges! The improvements to the most frequent complaints of mosquitos. Laughable. If hotel owners think that three small hanging insect zap machines will do the trick. I urge those who think that’s enough to come watch the entertainment. These machines cost around €70 euros each on a search so they gone all out to combat these complaints. Plug ins within rooms no impact pointless all for show. Finally after this many years you put a bottle of water in the room! But still not informed us and it should be in the fridge really shouldn’t it 👍🏻 The surveys provided within the restaurant I have been filling out for years, I’m sure you welcome all types of feedback but don’t ask for it without intention to gain from it. Are these surveys a way of preventing feedback and reviews being presented online? I do wonder Then unsurprisingly the prices are getting increased for 2027! Time for a rethink as there is a lot I am not covering. I have left many top reviews for this hotel but that can’t carry on. My final words last year were “Your profitability is one thing but the value for your product is starting to be tested even by returning loyal guests. Do not ruin something good for greed”.

We’ve been coming to Eix Lagotel in Playa de Muro for 8 years, which is exactly why writing this review is so disappointing. We’ve seen this hotel at its best, and sadly we’ve watched it decline year after year. The frustrating part is that so much of the hotel is still excellent. The rooms are modern, spotless and cleaned every day. The facilities are fantastic, with 6 pools, plenty of sunbeds and a great atmosphere. The beach is only a short walk away, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Despite what some reviews suggest, the mosquitoes really aren’t as bad as people make out – it’s Mallorca, they’re part of the holiday. The staff remain the hotel’s greatest strength. Many of them have been here since our first visit, and they continue to work incredibly hard with a smile on their faces. They deserve enormous credit because they are carrying a hotel whose standards are slipping in areas they have no control over. The biggest problem is the food – and it’s no longer something that can be ignored. For the last seven years we’ve booked all inclusive because it represented excellent value. Today, it represents neither quality nor value. Every year the food has become noticeably worse. The choice is shrinking, the menus barely change, and what is served is bland, repetitive and feels like the cheapest ingredients available. It feels less like a 4-star hotel restaurant and more like a canteen cutting costs wherever it can. We’re a family of five with children aged 16, 14 and 10. Two of our children are fussy eaters, but unlike most family hotels there isn’t even a basic children’s food station offering simple favourites. For a hotel aimed at families, that’s difficult to understand. The snack bar is equally disappointing. On more than one occasion burgers were soft and pink in the middle, which completely put us off eating there. Even the all-inclusive ice cream is poor quality – cheap little tubs that don’t reflect the premium prices being charged. Then there are the little things that leave an even worse impression. Charging guests €2 for a cup of ice is, quite frankly, petty. When families are already paying thousands of pounds for their holiday, charging extra for something as basic as ice sends entirely the wrong message. The new check-in process is another example. Instead of improving the guest experience, it’s made arrival slower and more frustrating. After a day of travelling, nobody wants to spend even longer waiting to start their holiday. What is perhaps most disappointing is that the hotel regularly asks guests for feedback, yet after eight years of raising similar concerns, very little seems to change. Collecting feedback is meaningless if it’s never acted upon. The prices have increased dramatically. This year we were quoted £6,500 for all inclusive, so we chose half board instead. Looking at next year, the price is around £7,500. £7,500 for this standard of food and overall value simply cannot be justified. We understand that prices have risen everywhere. Guests expect that. What they also expect is for quality to rise alongside those prices—not fall. Instead, it feels as though cost-cutting has become the priority while loyal guests are expected to pay more every year for less. If I were rating the rooms, facilities, location and staff alone, this would still be a 5-star review. Unfortunately, food is a huge part of any family holiday, especially when you’re paying for half board or all inclusive. Right now, the dining experience falls well below what should be expected from a hotel charging premium prices. After eight years of wonderful holidays, we’re now seriously considering booking elsewhere. That’s not because we want to—it’s because the hotel we fell in love with no longer offers the value or standards that kept us coming back year after year. Loyal guests deserve better.
