Excellent hotel in a fantastic location by the port so convenient for the shops restsurants pharmacy etc. Very smooth and easy check in from the polite and and smiling Rosa.. sea view room did not disappoint, although small but clean and cool.Their breakfasts,are outstanding with fresh selection of fruits fresh juices cheeses etc. They made us perfect omelettes daily with onions and peppers. Its so nice to sit al fresco in the terrace and enjoy your breakfasts and dinners as trams chug by! All staff are friendly and courteous. However a few negatives; I wish they left us a free bottle of water daily in the room without prompting. And to charge for a glass of ice €1.50 is mean when you are paying a decent chunk for the room! The fridge could be cooler. And the last gripe: the reception person is always busy checking and out. They need two people to man the counter so you can have access for questions or advice. All said and done, I would still come back here and have infact recommmended it to my f family. Harish Chande

“A very mixed bag”

Hotel right on the front of the harbour, and central for restaurants and bars. Our twin room with balcony and sea view was fine, though basic and not very big. Hotel right on the front of the harbour, and central for restaurants and bars. Our twin room with balcony and sea view was fine, though basic and not very big. Tiny bathroom and oddly shaped shower cubicle. No shower gel provided, so we used the shampoo instead (and now have lustrous hair) Kettle and cups in the room, but no sachets of coffee or tea? Air con weak but eventually effective, it had to be, it was 34C every day....though it did break down. Contacted reception and was told "maintenance" would get to it. An hour later went to reception in person to be told "maintenance" had been to the room and fixed it. Except he hadn't, and it wasn't...and he had gone home. Carolina on reception was, I must say, excellent in her handling of this, and we were immediately offered another room, two floors below, for the night, as it "will be fixed in the morning" So took a couple of carrier bags down, and got ready to go out. On our return, Carolina told us that we could now use our booked room again as the air-con had now been fixed (the whole floor had failed) and "maintenance" had been called back in! So, everything back to the third floor. Again. But our night was far from over. Unknown to us, we were staying the weekend of the festival of San Pere. There were arts events and parades...and two nights of live music and DJ's on an open air stage just across from the hotel, from 10pm until 5am. So no sleep for Friday and Saturday. This, coupled with the barking dog mentioned in a previous review, meant it wasn't a very peaceful time for the whole front of the hotel. Positives....be positive. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Great choice of hot and cold. Breads, yoghurts, pastries, fruit. 10 euro deposit for beach/pool towels, which could be changed daily. Vintage tram passes right in front of the hotel. Toot Toot! Negatives (in the hotel) 1.5 euro charge for a cup of ice! A first for me. Negatives (outside of the hotel) We did enjoy the beach across the road, and the daily duck parade was fun to watch. 2 sun loungers cost 19 euros. Questionable water quality though as we did see some "floaters" (insert screaming emoji here) Would we stay here again? Sadly, no.

“Nice hotel in prime seafront location but beware of dog”

Rooms were very clean, hotel lobby, breakfast and bar area modern and clean. Hallways could do with a refresh as old style carpet tiles and hotel room doors old style. Rooms were very clean, hotel lobby, breakfast and bar area modern and clean. Hallways could do with a refresh as old style carpet tiles and hotel room doors old style. Good choice at breakfast and the area to sit in is very spacious with a beautiful view to the ocean. Hotel staff were all very helpful and polite. Pool has limited beds but the sea is 100m from hotel so for us that wasn’t an issue. Sea view upgrade not worth it due to dog in property attached to hotel. It barked incessantly from early morning (pre 7am) throughout the day when another dog walked past on the promenade below. For this reason a sea view upgrade is not worth the money due to the constant noise. The hotel is listed as 4 star but it is more like a very good 3 star.
