Good hotel, rooms are a good size and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Portinatx is a place to relax, 2 bays and a few bars and nice restaurants, but there's not a major amount to do. My only criticism for the hotel was the entertainment. I'm in my late 50s but felt the entertainment was dated. Mostly cruise ship style singers singing cover songs. I would have preferred seeing some Spanish style acts, perhaps a Spanish guitarist one evening and maybe even embrace the Ibiza smooth sounds with a DJ playing classic house songs. Also, the hotel music was so loud it drowned out any music being played in restaurants and bars in the bay, so we were forced to listen to the covers singers wherever you were around the bay area, which I felt was intrusive.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in Portinatx. Good points: 3 small beaches, clear blue sea, very calm to swim in Nice salad and Fruit selection at buffet Pools are temperate and not cold when entering Staff are friendly Bad points: Air conditioning is extremely poor in room, very stuffy and uncomfortable, not cold at all, just blowing air around with no real effect. - And this is from a Superior room with balcony Messy corridors with magazines and bottles from rooms, not cleared away The hot selection of food is minimal and lacks taste and seasoning, meats are of poor quality and food is overcooked. Fruit juices at breakfast was not actual juice, but watered down cordial, which was very disappointing The hotel room needed more tlc with cracks in the wall and bathroom refit to improve quality Room was not cleaned every day, maid did not attend on 2 occasions. For lunch I ordered a burger, but sent it back immediately, it was warm and pink inside, so not cooked enough. This is branded by TUI as a 4 star platinum hotel, I personally would rate this a 3 star hotel. It was not up to standard by any means. It lacked finesse for a 4 star hotel. The hot food, air conditioning, room cleaning and hallways were not a high standard at all And this is the Grupotel hotel brand, whilst I have visited 3 in Cala N Bosch, Menorca for half board meal, which were very good/excellent. - I was expecting the same quality from this hotel chain. - This Ibiza hotel is the absolute opposite, very very disappointing. I would avoid staying here at all costs, you will be very disappointed if you are looking for 4 star food, especially for variety and quality, as for room comfort, there is none when the air conditioning is not strong enough. Portinatx is beautiful, but very very remote, so you are reliant on a good hotel and local restaurants, supermarkets and the beach. Nothing else.

Arrived 10.30pm Sunday night. The welcome at the Grupotel was disappointing after 12 hours travel. First words 'passport and credit card please, no 'welcome to your hotel'. When asked about food we were abruptly told.'kitchen is shut, you could try beach bars' no offer of even a drink of water. We went hungary. We were told our upgraded room was up a flight of stairs carry, on turn first right take the lift , your room is on the 2nd floor. There was no offer of any assistance. The room was dated ,a drawer in need of repair and the sofa cover in need of replacing as a little grubby. The room cleaning was inconsistent , we returned on one occasion to find the room door was left wide open. We found empty wine glass's and empty water bottles left on the landing for several days. When we aired our concern's the management stressed they had many repeat customers. We would suggest this is not an excuse for poor service and what appears to be a degree of complacency. We were B&B but tried the restaurant a couple of occasions, While reasonable value we found the hot food overcooked. The hotel made no effort to provide coverage of the world cup other than what was transmitted on free TV channels, as such we spent very little time in the hotel. The pool while small is adequate but suffers from 'towels down before breakfast' . The music in the pool bar make conversation a little challenging and the evening entertainment, from this and other hotels can dominate and is not to every ones taste. The hotel is in a good position although suffers from a lack of car parking space. Overall we would suggest this Hotel is tired, dated and needs attention inside and out. This is not a 4 star hotel
