Myself and My friend went with our partners and we both had two small children each (ages 4months, 2 years & 1.5 years and 3 years) I never normally write reviews but I felt this time around I definitely needed too. Overall we had a beautiful holiday and made amazing memories but there were things that let the hotel down. - Old styled rooms.. I found the rooms could have done with some care, we had patched up work all around the room, and there where holes near the skirting boards everywhere so we constantly had ants and wood lice entered the room and even in the bed! Which was not ideal when our 2 year old was in the bed. - Cleaners didn’t really clean! We found we had to dry out old towels a lot due to the cleaners just not replacing them, and not really cleaning the room. Where was my friends room always had fresh bedding, beds made and clean towels. - You have to have spare Euros for cups and plates! We paid for all inclusive so we expected to not have to pay for anything like this in the hotel, but you have to pay for your plastic cups and plates and if you do not return them then you loose your money. I disagree with this a lot because most families pay for all inclusive and don’t take extra money on holiday or our limited with funds for the holiday so having to pay for cups and plates is shocking I’ve never had to do this at any other hotel I’ve ever been all inclusive at. - Food .. was not great at all! Very boring and the same stuff pretty much every single day! I felt I was feeding myself and the family the same food daily it got very boring! Also the dessert section is tiny and the desserts are not very nice. They do a sushi bar and that was bigger than the dessert bar but we don’t eat sushi so it was very pointless for us. We were extremely disappointed at the food standards and had to eat out most days. - Pools .. the kids loved the pools! And I found there was enough sun beds for everyone but the splash pad could do with a re paint to make it look nicer as it looks very old and rusty. Also I’d suggest getting more umbrellas because there are more beds then umbrellas and when I needed one for my four month old there was no available due to the lack of them around the kids bottom pool especially. - No kettle in the room! This is not ideal when you’ve got baby bottles to make and clean but thankfully we took a travel kettle with us. - Kids Disco and Entertainment Team .. Not the best! There was one evening the kids disco was not on and we was left with nothing for the children to do until the entertainment started which peak season is not great! Also the kids disco starts late around 8:30pm! And then the entertainment is 9:15/9:30pm very late! Especially when you’ve got young children they’re very tired by the time anything starts. I’ve stayed at other hotels where the disco starts earlier and the entertainment is brilliant! Sadly the entertainment team put on a few dance shows but it looked like they had very little dance experience so some of the team was very unsure on the dance routine being performed and it was very out of time and messy. - Kids Park .. Very small and very much for older children, our little kids couldn’t get on a swing because they was big swings and the bigger children would not share, and then the slide is a big slide with ladders to climb up so once again little kids would need help or just can’t go on it, and that’s the only things on the park. I do not think I’d stay at this hotel again sadly, the island is beautiful and I’d definitely go again but I’d be looking for another hotel.

We have just returned from hotel es talaial a group of 12 people children and adults food was very good great choices fish great salads very clean in restaurant rooms were very spacious we had 2 balconys beds average however very dated our room smelt very musty we got a fridge and kitchen which does not have a kettle you have to hire from reception and a refundable deposit my family in other rooms didn't get cups or glasses had asked for them but never got them during our week stay air conditioning not good at all ours never worked we did ask and they were supposed to fix it but heard no more also be mindful of paying for safe for week is 25euro which we thought was a refund deposit you only get 3e back at the end of your stay of which we were not informed of when checking in.eveything is a deposit iron cups plates at snack bar all of which is returned to u pool ares were excellent very clean and well maintained animation team very good also no lifts anywhere all stairs and some poor lighting in areas when checking in was very slow took nearly half HR also a 30tax for two payable to the government at check in all in all a good holiday but a lot of hidden extras rooms need updating etc

“Disappointed”

Stayed for 7 nights in room 5010. The pictures online don’t show these rooms. They are awful basically in an alleyway where all the cleaners hang out smoking and storing there trolleys. Stayed for 7 nights in room 5010. The pictures online don’t show these rooms. They are awful basically in an alleyway where all the cleaners hang out smoking and storing there trolleys. They are out talking loudly from 7:00am and woke us every day. Over crowded hotel with very little staff on. 1 working the pool bar 1 on the snack bar. Have to pay deposits for cups and plastic plates and carry these round with you all week. Pools were murky and lots of kids were getting poorly. Food was awful and lots of left overs from lunch being re used at dinner. We went all inclusive and paid a fortune eating out to escape the food. Location is so good with a beach over the road and shops and restaurants 400m away. But if you want to go into calador be wanted the taxi service is awful and you’ll wait nearly an hour each time. The bus is great but always full because you can’t get a taxi anywhere.
