Balansat resort is absolutely incredible!!! We are just back after a week holiday and I cannot fault it in anyway. We went self catering and so glad we did - there are a couple of supermarkets with everything that we needed. We also ate out in the restaurant just past the hotel on the beach that has the most amazing views. The night time entertainment was out of this world. Davide and the staff were amazing with the children and also made it fun for us adults too. We had the best time so much so that we are rebooking for next year but will go for a longer period. We did not want to leave ❤️

“Lovely holiday but too isolated for is”

We traveled as a large family group start of July. Hotel was clean and well maintained, fresh towels and room cleaned daily. We found food in restaurant good always something to eat, snack bar food good also. I would say the ques for drinks and snacks was not great and could be improved, I have been places before where it was self-service and it was better. No cocktails included in all inclusive which would of been nice, however, to buy a cocktails it was not expensive and they were lovely ☺️. Pools were clean and felt very safe with kids, 2 lifeguards on at all times. Never struggled to get a bed at pool - no 8am run like in other hotels we have stayed. Our main problem was the lack of night time entertainment for adults/older kids following the kids entertainment. And it was too far away from anything for us as a family as we like to get out more and taxis were expensive and limited buses. However, we still had a great time and would recommend to familys with younger children or whom don’t mind just staying in hotel.

“Our stay at Balansat Resort, Ibiza”

Lovely hotel set in Puerto de San Miguel. We went for 7 days. There is a childrens pool which was very lively but brilliant for children. The animation team were very good and kept children and adults entertained. Plenty for children to do, water polo which was adults as well , kids football, splash park, play area, various other activities and adult volleyball. Entertainment in the evening was well set up for children first then adults and children. Atmosphere around the childrens pool was fun. There is also an adult only pool which is lovely and quiet and not very busy. Lots of sun beds around main pool, but you do have to get your towels on early as they do fill up quite quickly. We had junior suite which was a great size and cleaned daily and lovely air con. If you keep the key in while out the room feels lovely and cold for when you get back in from the heat. Reception staff very helpful and generally friendly staff all throughout the hotel. Food was lovely, never had a bad meal. Pizza was not the best but lots of other things to choose from. Although if children are fussy the only consistent options were chips and pizza, but normally there is something to be found. The little express train is worth a ride as you go to a couple of villages in the north. Beach was nice but very rocky in the water so might need shoes. The only reason i gave 4 stars is because it is quite in the middle of nowhere. Its a very quiet area with 3 shops in total and a few restaurants. Most places to travel are accessible by bus which is around 2 plus euros, although bus times are not always great so end up getting taxi back. We went to Ibiza town and cost 35 euros in a taxi ( we went on a Sunday must shops closed do bear that in mind). We went to the hippy market in Es Canar which was extremely hot and realistically the same things were sold in the shops. This cost around 32 euros via taxi.

Stayed for 10 nights and on the whole, enjoyed our stay. Hotel is located in a quiet village, approx 40 minutes from the airport. Staff are the stand-out feature of this hotel and we always found them friendly and helpful. Our junior suite was just ok - quite spacious but poorly maintained and was never cleaned very well. There also seems to be a shortage of plug sockets in the room which we found frustrating. Cleanliness seems to be a bit of a problem in the restaurant too - I lost count of the amount of dirty plates or cutlery I picked up so they need to look at their cleaning processes. In regards to the restaurant, this was our biggest disappointment- the food was a real let-down. It wasn’t particularly child friendly, poor quality and variety. The heat in there was also stifling and didn’t make for a pleasant meal as it was just too hot! The restaurant doesn’t have enough adequately sized tables for families either which needs to be looked at. The animation team are friendly and hardworking - the one man in particular always made a fuss of our two small children even though they didn’t join in with any of the activities! The main pool is always very busy but we found going in early helped! It’s not a huge pool so it may be worth the hotel considering whether to allow such large inflatables as they did take over somewhat! My young children really enjoyed the splash pad and we spent most of our time here! We always managed to get Sun beds where we wanted but we were always up and out early - I think from about 10am, all beds were taken - lots of towel reservers too! Overall, we have enjoyed our holiday but probably wouldn’t return as the food is such a let-down and this is an important part of our holiday for us.
