The Marfil Playa is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The shops are literally just across the road, and the sandy beach is a couple of minutes walk away. We have just returned from a week's all-inclusive at the Marfil, and we really liked it. The public areas, the pool and grounds, and the rooms are all spotless. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our room was on the top floor (7th) with a fantastic view of the pool and the sea. Sheets were changed regularly, and towels were changed whenever needed. The room had a fridge and ample storage for clothing. The room safe cost €10 which was returned on checkout. The aircon, which was free, was quiet and efficient. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We hired a kettle from reception for €10 which again was returned on checkout. We also hired sunbed towels for €15 each. Beware, though, you can only change the towels every 3 days! The main issues with the room for me were the bathroom and noise from adjoining rooms. The bathrooms, although spotless, look dated, and the shower is over the bath. I have mobility issues, and stepping over the bath to get a shower was a problem. We could hear the tv in the room next door and could hear someone coughing and sneezing on the other side! The buffet restaurant is large and very well designed. Lots of food on display, but not all of it looked very familiar. The food labelling was often incorrect, and it seemed to be geared more towards German and Spanish guests. We were a bit disappointed that the show cooking was burgers and fish. We never once saw a joint of beef, pork, or lamb. Overall, though, it was a really nice hotel. The pool was warm (as was the sea), there were plenty of comfy sunbeds with parasols, and it was very relaxing. We would definitely recommend the Marfil Playa and would happily return.

It’s a small, intimate hotel with a great location, right next to the beautiful Sa Coma beach, as well as public transportation and various shops. The infrastructure is quite well-suited to accommodate the number of tourists. There’s also a solarium overlooking the pool, which helps to reduce congestion in the area around the pool. In the restaurant, there were enough tables available. We could always find several tables that were free, whether for breakfast or dinner. The meals were of good quality at a reasonable price. They might be more suitable for English-speaking people et allemands. La chambre est spacieuse, équipée d'un mini frigo bien pratique, les meilleures chambres pour avoir une vue mer se situent à partir du 5ieme étage ( où nous étions) sur les 7 étages que comptent l'hotel, reste la salle de bain à remettre au gout du jour. Les employé(e)s coté restaurant étaient très agréables et cométents, le personnel d'entretien et de l'accueil également. Dans l'ensemble notre séjour c'est très bien passé.

We have just returned from our holiday and overall had a lovely stay, but there are definitely some areas that need improvement. The hotel itself is lovely, excellent location nearby to shops and restaurants and also a few minutes walk to the beach. They have a great pool area and plenty of sun loungers, so there was never any trouble finding somewhere to relax even later on in the afternoon. The bar staff, reception team and cleaners were all friendly, welcoming and worked hard throughout our stay, which really made a positive difference. Unfortunately, the rooms are quite dated and could do with refurbishing. The biggest disappointment was the all-inclusive food, which lacked variety and quality compared to what we were expecting and what we have received from other 4 star hotels in the area previously. Small selection of snacks are available by the pool such as sandwiches, pastries and ice creams, you do have to pay for burgers, hot dogs and other dishes round by the pool. Drinks were absolutely fine with a huge variety on the all inclusive and very reasonable priced for branded drinks. We sadly found that management didn’t seem very interested in resolving issues when they were raised with staff especially when it involved the food which wasn’t cooked properly one evening. Very frustrating. Another downside was the long queues for the elevators at peak times, meaning you often had to wait quite a while. Two small elevators for the size of the hotel is quite poor. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday thanks to the facilities and the hardworking staff, but improvements to the rooms, food, lift capacity and customer service from management would make a big difference to the overall guest experience.
