We went on our first family holiday with our 9 month old baby this year and were very apprehensive beforehand as we discovered when he was 6 months old that he had a Dairy and Soy intollerance, which also meant my wife was having to do the same dietary restriction, but it was too late to change the plans by then. Some of the reviews of this hotel were quite damming of the options available so of course we contacted the hotel ahead of time to tell them, and to get reassurance that both my wife and son would have options to eat and we wouldn't be on plain rice and pasta for the whole stay. I must say that although it wasn't the case that they had as much choice as someone with no restriction, there were still many options at all meals and the restaurant manager (Tomeiu?) Was fantastic if we had any specific requests, we had oat milk pancakes ready to go for breakfast, coconut yoghurts made available, oat milk always available for us, and many times my wife asked ahead of time for something specific and it was ready fresh from the kitchen for lunch or dinner. Every single dish was clearly labeled in the buffet and on the al a carte menus so it was as easy to navigate as they could realistically make it. I cannot fault the staff who made evey effort to ensure we had a good experience. The hotel itself is ideally suited to young families. The rooms were decent, although i would say other sensatori hotels we have been to pre baby were of a higher calibre on that front, thr curtains were not blackout which sounds like a small detail but when you are trying to do naps in the room in bright sunshine and also when the sun isnt setting until 930 bedtimes can be hard work. The main pool was cleaned thoroughly every morning but I would say the kids pool area was not cleaned the same, the day beds around the outside of the pools were not the cleanliness you would expect from a supposed 5 star hotel and that is something I do think they should improve. Really good location close enough to the local shops and the beach, all very flat and walkable. Bonus free daily trip to a small farm with some goats, chickens cows ect, nice for an hour in the morning. Free use of bikes daily from clubhouse. We didnt use the kids club bit there was a stay and play daily 9 to 10 which was good for our baby to roam about. The hotel could do with spraying the rooms for bugs proactively which they do in many 5 star resorts as standard, and attempting to combat the insect issue near the pools somehow as we have never been bitten as much as we were here and it was the same story for everyone you spoke too. Weirdly the kids were universally untouched so im not sure what was happening but it was frustrating waking up to 5 new itchy bites every morning. Overall we had a great holiday and the food situation was handled as well as I think we could have hoped. My reccomendation for anyone with any sort of similar food restrictions is tell them well ahead so they know and dont be afraid to speak to the restaurant manager. The negative reviews on here around food options all seem to me to be from people who must have sat in silence and expected the hotel to magically read their mind and provide a whole menu of alternatives unprompted - like most things in life, if you dont ask, you dont get!

This is my third time here, beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. Great food. Removed one star due to the now sad offering in the piano bar, same guy thinks can do everything from toy story to elvis and all sounded as bland. Music to top yourself too was heard!! Hardly anyone in the bar dry and no atmosphere. Great day disappointing nights.

“Lovely holiday just a couple of issues”

My partner and I have just returned from a 7 night stay in the adults only part of this hotel. We stayed in a swim up room, room number 150. Overall we had a lovely holiday. There were just a few issues we had. Our swim up pool was very cold. We highlighted this to reception but they said nothing could be done. Our room didn’t get the sun until 3pm meaning we barely used the pool we had paid for which was disappointing. Our room however was spotlessly clean, the aircon was fab and the ceiling fan kept the room really cool. Our room was cleaned daily and mini bar restocked. Would have been nice to have alcohol in the mini bar or a room service to the swim up pools. Overall the food here was fantastic especially in the Lyra restaurant. We ate at 3 of the à la carte restaurants. The Italian and green & grill were great. Only issue with the green & grill were the mosquitoes but I’ll go into detail about that at the end. We were a little disappointed with the Indian restaurant. The service was a bit chaotic and we stood at the door to be seated for ages and people were walking past us. The food was average too. Our biggest let down was the gala night bbq. We were really looking forward to this as had heard amazing reviews. We sat down and I cut into my burger and it was completely raw and cold to touch. Happy to eat beef pink but I could tell as soon as I cut into it that this was raw and when it was cold to touch I showed a waitress. They just lifted the plate and showed the manager but then nothing else was said about it. Another lady sitting across from us also sent hers back so just be mindful to check the burgers are cooked. An experience like that puts you off and we chose to eat out the next night. Apart from these issues the food was great. The pool side bar served amazing food in the adults only section and also the pre prepared bagels and sandwiches in the cabinet were great for a quick snack. The drinks were great too and to have all cocktails included in all inclusive was great. We enjoyed a drink at the piano bar each night and there was always entertainment on and some great singers. Our final issue was unfortunately like other reviewers, the mosquitoes. I’ve never seen anything like it. Aware this isn’t directly the hotels fault but there’s absolutely no effort from them to repel them. We were eaten alive in the green and grill restaurant. Some plug ins and citronella candles would have been nice to see. I ended up so uncomfortable by the end of the holiday as a result of all the bites. I didn’t want to expose them to the sun either.. There was also loads of ants around the adult only pool where you sunbathe and people were complaining they were being bitten there too. Would just be nice to see the hotel acknowledge the issue. Finally make sure to make use of the mini golf, driving range, free bikes and also the town market which is on a Wednesday evening. For the mini golf you need a ticket from the hotel reception to give you free access. We went twice and it’s great all these activities are included. We loved our holiday just a few issues that deducted the star rating for us. We stayed in a TUI 4 star hotel last year and feel it is on par with that.
