Guests at Sirenis Seaview Country Club say: Sirenis Seaview Country Club / Holiday Village Ibiza - Family Swim Up Room - Room 2002
We visited as a family of 3, with a 3-year old for 10-Nights, and we had an amazing holiday.
ROOM
We had a Family Swim Up Room (Room 2002).
Our room was perfect for what we wanted and had expectations for. We'd read reviews about the rooms being dated, needing refurbishment etc, but we didn't see any evidence of this at all. The room was modern, clean and spacious enough.
The room was cleaned daily and very well. We had no issues with anything during our stay.
The swim up pool room was great. The pool was clean and warm, with a lifeguard in there for the duration of the day. You get 2 loungers, a parasol, table and chairs and a smaller drinks table. You're segregated from the other rooms by a wall either side. It is spacious outside too.
We walked past the deluxe swim-up rooms and personally, I feel the family swim-ups were in a better location. They're located in a quieter spot in terms of people/foot traffic and have a much better view from the room (the deluxe are looked into by everyone as you walk to the infinity pool and have a large hedge blocking views of the sea). Whether the rooms are a better, I can't comment, but if (when) we re-book we would choose it h family over the deluxe.
HOTEL
The hotel/complex is big. The reception and areas around are clean and fairly modern. There's always staff on hand to answer any questions if required.
We had heard/read the rooms and hotel was dated and needed some TLC. That may be the case in certain areas, but not from what we saw/experienced.
There is an artist outside of the buffet restaurant. We had a drawing done of our daughter which is simply stunning! We chose part colour, A3 size and it was €90. It was the best money we spent and I would highly recommend it.
FOOD
I have no idea why there's so many negative comments on the food!
I think people need to realise it is a 4* all inclusive hotel, in the Balearic Islands. A lot of negative comments appear to be people that would be better suited to a self-catering holiday perhaps, or are comparing it to a 5* Turkey hotel.
Another common negative comments are "there's the same stuff every day". Whilst this isn't incorrect, it bends the truth. There are the usual items which are there daily chips etc. which isn't an issue as a lot of people have them each meal (if they weren't there then people would moan!). Then they had certain food types each day (pizza, pasta, rice etc) but every day it was a different type of those dishes, it wasn't just pepperoni pizza every day. But, meal time (not just day!) there were an ambundance of different foods and plenty of it.
Also, the comments on it being loud like a school diner...it's a holiday village, for kids. Whilst it was busy at times, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Again, people who have commented this should probably look at a smaller hotel which is self-catering with no children.
The final negative comments we saw was "there's always empty dishes and it's all cold". This is absolute rubbish. Yes, there's times that a dish may be empty, but you tend to find them on a different counter or you may have to wait a minute or two (who would have thought it). The dishes were always hot.
For a 4* Spanish all inclusive we were really impressed. Each day has a different theme and there was plenty of choice. We are not fussy eaters, so found a great range of dishes for us all. Were there some we didn't like? Yes! But that's just our personal taste, so we had something else.
• A La Carte Restaurants
We stayed for 10-nights so were lucky enough to visit each or the three restaurants. All have a 3-course meal and a nice change from the buffet with a more formal meal setting, with proper glasses (instead of the usual all inclusive plastic).
You have to book early! When you arrive, there is a QR code on the reception desk. Scan this and you can book. The later times book up first, we chose the early sitting (18.00) as this worked perfectly for our daughter.
• Italian (outside of the hotel, opposite the entrance)
This was our favourite and great themed restaurant. You're met with a cocktail and bread sticks as you order.
The starters were delicious, the mains were amazing, especially the pizza (we shared half pizza and half pasta) and ice cream for dessert. The kids food was the same version as the adult, just a smaller portion. Our daughter was very happy with this.
• American Diner (outside of the hotel, opposite the entrance)
We'd got our dates mixed up, but luckily we went in and explained we'd made a mistake. Thankfully, XXXX was so accommodating and organised another date for us. A really nice themed diner. You're met with a cocktail to start with.
The food was really good, we enjoyed it. As it says on the tin, it is your typical American Diner food. Nachos, onion rings and chicken wings to start. We decided to share a burger and a Philly cheestake and opted for a milkshake for dessert. The kids meal was huge and a combination of chips, burger (in the shape of Mickey Mouse!), chicken wings and nuggets. Our daughter isn't great with this sort of food, but she tried it all and did really well with it.
• Sunset Grill (next to the all inclusive restaurant)
We really enjoyed our time and meal here. It was particularly hot that day, so we opted for inside and you're met with a cocktail to start with. It was decorated lovely inside, a real Mediterranean feel to it.
DRINKS
A good selection of drinks. The cocktails on the normal all inclusive weren't personally what we enjoyed (pre-mixed juices from machine) but that's our personal preference. However, there was plenty of other drinks to keep us more than happy. The house spirits were actually good.
You can pay for premium cocktails and drinks too. €70 gets you 10 premium drinks. We did this and the cocktails were amazing (our personal favourite was the banana daiquiri 👌🏼
POOLS
The pools were great! Such a good selection and amazing for all ages. The main pool area has 2 similar pools which has a gradient which gradually goes into a deeper end. Perfect for all ages, big enough to play and not annoy other people. A small pool for babies too. The infinity pool is lovely, which is on different levels and a completely different vibe to the main pool area. I couldn't fault the pools, our daughter loved them!
WATERPARK
The waterpark is joined to the hotel, with access through the reception and right. It's a good outlet from the pool or beach. A good selection of slides for all ages. Although our daughter wasn't too keen, I think as she gets older it would be a great place to have fun. At no additional cost, it's a great feature for the hotel.
BEACH
There is a lovely beach (Port de Torrent) minutes from the hotel entrance. Come out of the hotel, turn right and walk for 2 minutes and you're there!
Tip...get some bread rolls from the buffet and take them to the sea. The fish will come right up and feed on them, our daughter loved it.
As you head down the slope, on the first level there is a lady who does braids. I think this is from 10am and she's been there for years and years (I think she said about 20 years) and was about €15.
Side note, the water taxi which heads to San Antonio is on your rignt. Just before you head down the slope to the beach you take a right and it's 1 minute walk.
SURROUNDING AREA
You can walk along to San Antonio Bay, even carrying on around to San Antonio if you wish. There's some bars and restaurants in the local area. Pretty much opposite the hotel there is a couple of shops which sell floats etc for the pool. Reasonably priced.
CAR HIRE
We hired a car at Turbo, which is about 15 min walk from the hotel. Come out and turn left. It was perfect. Close location, priced well and the person we dealt with was super helpful. We explored the Island and did a whole loop. We went to Cala Benirrás, Amnesia, Kevin and Perry Hotel, Camí Cala d'Hort for Es Vedrà rock & Cala Escondida. A really fun way to break up the holiday and would highly recommend.
PLACES TO VISIT
Went went to Café Mambo for the sunset and caught the bus from opposite the hotel. This was about €6 for us all and takes you to the bas depot in San Antonio. You walk from here along to the sunset strip where you find Space Bar, Café Del Mar, Café Mambo etc. We went with our 3 year old who loved the music and it was family friendly.
There is also a hippy bar called Kumharas, about 15 minutes walk as you turn left from the hotel. Really great vibe, good drinks, amazing sunset and well worth a visit.
STAFF
Celest at the pool truck was our favourite bar staff! She was friendly and attentive to our daughter. Every time we went up to get a drink or ice cream, she would engage with her and give her a little sweet. Just these little touches really help you feel at home.
Fancundo, Carolina and Gina in the American diner were so helpful and attentive. We mistakenly mixed up our night to eat there. When we went to speak to them and ask whether we were able to fit us in as we had made a mistake, Fancundo was so helpful and accommodated us later in the holiday.
