We have just returned from a lovely family holiday to Tropic Garden Santa Eulàlia. We are a family of 4, 2adults and 2 children (13 &8) staying for 1 week bed and breakfast. The hotel is lovely, clean but a little bit dated/worn in places. the staff are really friendly. The daytime entertainment is good with plenty of activities. Breakfast is great, there is something for everyone including freshly cooked pancakes, omelettes and eggs by the chefs. All the fruit is really fresh and the buffet is constantly being topped up. The only negative we found was the air con or lack of it. We had it in our room but it is that dated the bedding and our clothes were constantly damp. There is NO air con in any communal places including the reception or the restaurant, which makes eating extremely uncomfortable. We only had breakfast so I dread to think how hot it was in there at lunch or evening. Pool is fab and clean, as you expect some people are selfish when it comes to sun loungers, reserving them from early morning and not using them until later in the afternoon! There are not enough parasols either to get out of the sun. It is quite a walk into Santa Eulàlia itself. I took us around 10 mins to get to the marina, it is probably a further 5-10 mins to the beach, but it is a beautiful resort with loads of restaurants, bars, shops & ice creams. Would definitely visit again and recommend if they sort out the air conditioning especially when it has been as hot as it has been this week 🥵!!

We have just got back from a week staying at the Tropic Garden hotel. On the whole, I would highly recommend this hotel if you have kids. The entertainment and facilities were excellent. The area is also really convenient, a supermarket right next door and the town of Santa Eulalia and beach is a short walk away. The food is also really good quality and they have an excellent selection for both kids and adults for each meal. The surroundings are also lovely and a lot of the rooms are overlooking the sea. Although I would happily go back to this hotel, there were a few cons. The hotel itself is a bit tired and could use some maintenance. Our room had chips in the paint and marks on the walls etc. We went for the all inclusive option and the ice creams this includes are a chocolate ice cream cone and lemon ice cream cone. Which is fine as long as you’re not dairy free. Anything else you need to pay for. There is also a long queue for the bar on most nights, they don’t seem to have many people serving. Although the cocktails were very nice. If you are not paying for the ‘Selected, Exclusive’ package then you don’t get pool towels included, you have to ask for them at reception and pay a deposit. You don’t get fresh ones each day either, just one for the whole stay. They don’t communicate that to you either, it’s something you need to find out for yourself. The housekeeping was ok, could be better but as it’s a 4 star and not 5 star hotel, it’s probably is ok. If you are extremely particular, you may not be 100% happy.

Hotel was “fine” We have just returned from 10 days all-inclusive at this hotel - we travelled with our 16 month old and overall had a good trip but there are some things I definitely wish I had been aware of before we went. 1) The meal times are not family friendly. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am and there is nowhere to even get a drink before this point. Lunch is 1-2:45 so if you have a midday napper there’s very limited flexibility there. Evening meal doesn’t start until 7pm which also felt late. You can get food from the pool bar (very limited options) 11:30-5:30 but there is then a solid 90 mins where no food is available at all right at the ideal meal time for many babies/toddlers. Overall the food was fine, edible but nothing to rave about. 2) The air con around the hotel is awful. It worked okay in our room but the restaurant was like eating in a sauna, the bar was the same and even the lobby was sweltering. If you wanted to get your toddler out of the sun for a bit, there was nowhere you could go other than back to the room. Even the outside areas marketed as being toddler friendly (splash park and playground) were in direct heat and the playground was definitely more suitable for older children. 3) No tea or coffee or water provided in the room - luckily there’s a big Mercadona nearby so we were able to stock up on some basic supplies there. Overall, the hotel is fine for if you are travelling with kids around ages 4-11 but would not recommend any younger and definitely wouldn’t recommend if you were coming without kids over summer - the pool was absolutely packed with massive inflatables, ball games etc. There was a lifeguard occasionally but he napped on his chair for pretty much the entirety of his shift. I also agree with other reviews talking about how tired the hotel was. Had this hotel been marketed as 3* and we paid £1000 less, I would’ve been much happier. It’s definitely not 4* or worth a higher price point but has the potential to be.
