We love the relaxed atmosphere of this hotel and the wildlife that surrounds it, all the staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Son bou is a very quiet resort and the beach is absolutely beautiful, so if you’re looking for a relaxed holiday Jardin Menorca is the place .

“What no Prosecco!!!”

An enjoyable 7 nights spoiled by the lack of items at the outdoor bar. Prosecco not available on one evening, wine by the bottle not available despite being on the menu, Aperol spritz not available because of the lack of Prosecco, mojito not available because there was no mint. I would expect a hotel like this to be able to manage stock control effectively and not place the staff in the difficult position of having to turn down the requests of guests.

“Noisy Cockerills an issue !!”

Hotel looks lovely setting and clean on first impression it is set on a hillside amongst residential property and a 25 minute walk away from any shops or restaurants. The internet and air conditioning rates a clear zero here as neither barely work. It was nice to see the cockerel’s and chicks wandering around not just the hotel but full resort until day 2 when the ones in the hotels ground have you up at stupid o’clock constant squawking. There was many blurry eyed folks at breakfast who’s sleep was ruined because of this call first light and was a big topic amongst guests at breakfast which actually I feel is a major issues here and need resolving by stopping them entering the hotel grounds. It is really bad tbh and we could hear them clearly from 3am even on the 4th floor !! Our room was large and clean on arrival the shower room modern our balcony was literally a chair away from adjoining room balcony so no privacy and overshadowed by trees the room had a broken fridge door and missing utensil equipment the room was not cleaned good whatsoever and some days cleaning did not arrive up to 4-5pm some days which is really bad as you were stuck without any clean towels to get changed until they turned up so after a day round pool or beach even ringing reception made no difference . Never saw any pool area maintenance throughout our stay the gardens need some tlc but it is a nice area to chill out. There was quite a lot of young families arrived during our week even though not yet school holidays but apart from a small pool and slide on the grass there was nothing else for them to do There was more kids hotels by the beach though geared up for families with water slides mini disco etc in the centre of Son Bou and the beach is really nice. Overall we enjoyed MENORCA and Son Bou town itself it is modern and clean not much going on but it was nice. We would return but to a differant hotel as this has quite a lot of issues need resolving .The hotel does provide a shuttle bus though but only up to 7.45pm after that you need to walk or get a taxi and there is also a supermarket next door with plenty of selection and we were happy with the breakfast meals and bar area too they were nice especially on a night but it is all very low key and would have been a lovely rest if the noisy cockerels would have let us sleep.

We learnt very quickly your experience at this hotel is down to where you are located and which room you are in. Our friends were in a two story block with lovely views nice and modern. We were in one of the 4 story blocks with a tree in front of our balcony the lift was next to our room which was noisy when it did decide to work and the cleaning of rooms was pathetic our bed still looked like we had slept in it when it suppose to have been made . The bathroom sink was not cleaned at all some days the floors never washed throughout stay the fridge had broken shelves in the door and we could not use the microwave as the dials had worn numbers & no info on them there were also no bowls whatsoever ? Our room was a good size Tv and furniture nice but the room was part old and part modern and not very light apart from 4am when the non blackout curtains make the room like mid afternoon in the night. Our other friends in another 4 story block had same issues and agreed housekeeping was very bad too and often not done until late afternoon and then half done if that. The pool area had adequate sunbeds and umbrellas and a nice area but the grass and garden needs tlc and overflowing rubbish bins around the area was an issue and noticed some bins did not get emptied a few days at a time. So either shortage of staff or just not bothered is definitely an issue here a lot of the staff do not speak to you if can help it and there is not many that can understand English well at all so communication was often challenging. I would like a shout out to the restaurant Manager though he was the most friendliest hardworking and polite member of staff than all rest put together. Breakfast had a reasonable selection and the dinning room clean and modern as was all in the main building. We got a bus to Mahón which was straight forward and the town of Son Bou is walking distance or shuttle bus and quite modern but very few bars and places to eat there. Overall we liked Son Bou but were very disappointed with the standards of this hotel.
