“Comfortable and convenient ”

Myself and husband spent nine nights in this very pleasant resort of Cala Llonga. The apartment was very comfortable for our stay. Our host Carlos made us very welcome and also made sure we had everything we needed. We would certainly return later on in the year for a quiet holiday in the sun.

We spent four days in these beautiful apartments. There is a very chilled out vibe in Ses Veles. Our apartment was spotlessly clean with lovely decor. Our cleaner was great, friendly and smiling. The owner Carlos is the perfect host, very attentive and welcoming. He even set up a poolside TV for viewing World Cup matches. We were on the ground floor, room 003. Very handy for the pool and Gingers pool bar. Some of the time we had the pool all to ourselves. It’s in a beautiful setting - on the edge of the countryside. Didnt know what to expect in Ibiza. We found lovely Spanish people, fab beach and a super Italian restaurant right next door. There is an excellent bakery and supermarket close by. A bit more expensive for beers etc than the supermarket closest to the beach. The ferry is great for seeing the beautiful coastline. We took the boat to Es Cana for the day 17 euros return per person but there are loads of other routes.The boat trip lasted almost an hour. Would strongly recommend it. Also found some great walking trails. A bit hilly for cycling so the walks were v welcome. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday. We definitely recommend it for couples and families.

“Location is what you pay for...”

We’ve just returned from a 2-week stay here. We were a party of 10 (6 adults, 4 children) and we had 3 apartments (1 x 1 bed and 2 x 2 beds) adjacent to one another. We were looking to stay somewhere in Cala Llonga, central, close to the beach and with its own pool. The apartments certainly fulfilled that brief. Cala Llonga is a fabulous little resort, with plenty of bars and restaurants and a stunning beach. Carlos is the owner/Manager, he’s a lovely guy and very eager to ensure that everything was OK for us. He made sure we had pool towels, extra fans and even a hair drier! Top marks - he works hard. So the apartments have had a bit of a refurb (mainly cosmetic) - 2 of our 3 apartments had new fitted kitchenettes but one didn’t. Not really an issue, but it needs replaced. The baths have been painted with an enamel coating, which was flaking away. The air-con is very effective and was very welcome. A point to note, you need to empty the container outside on the balcony (where the water from the air con is collected) 2 or 3 times per day. We weren’t initially told this and the water was initially spewing out of the air con unit (a small flood!) but once we were told to do this it was fine. The pipes really need to be plumbed in to a drain or to water the plants or something! Nonetheless, the air con was much needed and could be left on 24/7. The place is absolutely spotless - really very clean. Tiscar works tirelessly every day and does a great job. Towels are changed every 3 days (or more regularly if requested) as are the sheets. Downstairs there’s an Italian restaurant (separate management) (La Vela) and it is excellent. So the apartment has its own pool - again, under separate management and it’s called ‘Ginger’, Carmen and Erica looked after us very well, they were lovely and friendly. The food they made was delicious. It’s got a bit of a beach-club feel, and a couple of times they had a DJ playing in the background - a nice vibe. However, the pool is open to anyone. And I mean, anyone and everyone and their Granny - at one point I counted 26 (non-residents, including unaccompanied children) in the actual pool (and it’s not that big). At times, it felt over-run and like a public swimming pool! Apparently it’s the only pool in the area where non-residents can use it for free, and boy they do that! I get the idea, buy some drinks, use the pool. Make the business some money. However, it spoiled the tranquility and atmosphere - if you can put up with that then great, but for us, it probably means we wouldn’t return. Other apartments that had a pool charged an entrance fee to non-residents, and they were very quiet! We seemed to be a bit unlucky in our apartment (204): air conditioning ‘leakage’; no water for a day (resolved by the evening and to be fair Carlos was very apologetic); dodgy shower - and on several occasions an overwhelming smell of sewage. Not just a whiff, but to the extent that we wondered if we would actually wake up in the morning. I think it may be connected to the day there was no water and various bits of the wardrobe in our room were hacked out to get into the pipes. I think the whole system might need a good ‘blow out’, eek! Overall, great location for a very basic apartment - at the high end of the price bracket.
