I don't agree with most of the comments on here! My personal experience was great. Bungalow very clean. If you ask the cleaners for clean towels and a toilet roll, they will happily oblige. Lots seem to want cleaners in, it's not that sort of place. It's your own property for the week. Not a hotel room.Clean your own mess!! I was all inclusive. They serve food 5 times a day. And drinks from 10.30am. There is always something to eat,even if you are picky. Failing that there are many food and drink establishments about a 5 minute walk away. And very cheap. Reception and the bar staff will call you a taxi upon request. The pool areas are lovely and cleaned every morning. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I met some fantastic people,we created a large group,who often met at the all inclusive restaurant in the evening. We had a great time and a good laugh. You make your holiday yourself. I did not see or hear of any break ins. I locked my windows and door whilst I was out. Just like I would at home. Don't go expecting 5 star service when that's not what it is. You certainly won't get cleaners in every day or table service. Why would you at a 2 star complex. A lot of very unfair reviews for people not making there holiday enjoyable themselves. If you want 4 or 5 star pay the extra for it. I will definitely return here. Had a fab holiday!!

“A good, cheap, basic break.”

This is our 8th visit & as 'old codgers' we love it, self catering every time. The bungalows are clean, but won't be cleaned during your stay & unless you ask. Cleaning staff are friendly & helpful, same as reception staff. The bars are not owned by the complex but, by the people who run the Indian… more

This is our 8th visit & as 'old codgers' we love it, self catering every time. The bungalows are clean, but won't be cleaned during your stay & unless you ask. Cleaning staff are friendly & helpful, same as reception staff. The bars are not owned by the complex but, by the people who run the Indian/Chaplins in the shopping complex, so not always open(on Lake, no open on a Sat) as a disabled person, a taxi ride into Caleta is only 3.5 euro's. The downside to the complex is noise, mostly by youngsters(18-24), but we make a noise in the morning instead lol. Will be back(again) beginning of December

We went to this resort with an open mind having read mixed reviews , so heres my honest opinion. I dont like being negative , but i want to save others from booking this place just because its 'affordable ' only to feel theyve wasted their time not making the memories they had hoped too. We stayed in the 'lake ' part of this complex , which cost slightly more , but i liked the fact it was more secure as it was gated with keys issued to unlock them. The bungalows * nice and clean upon arrival , with all the essentials needed for a budget break. However the beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are so old it was like we didnt have one , so have come home with bruises all over my back . * the pools - nice and clean , and area around the pool clean , but even outside of peak times , its sun bed wars . So unless you fancy getting up at stupid oclock each day , improvise like we did , buy inflatables and chuck towels on them to lie on round the pool when you have a pool day * food Plenty of meal times , 5 times a day , but feels like a bush tucker trial , as you arent always 100% sure what you are getting or if its even cooked properly . Three of our party of 5 , was pretty ill during the stay, so had to find a pharmacy to buy treatments .p.s - if you are all inclusive , you can ask for ice creams at the bar , which are in small tubs free of charge , they were safe to eat. Sadly we ate out most meal times or went to the supermarket down the hill , as we felt it was too much of a gamble with the hotel food , so it worked out a rather expensive 'all inclusive' holiday 🤦‍♀️ . * drinks The drinks are fine , they are what you would expect from a 2 * resort . Tip - the self serve 'juice' is undiuted squash , so use the water on the machine to dilute it or its a whole glass of sugary horrid The area - apart from shopping , resturants , mini golf , the beach & harbour , theres nothing within walking distance to spend doing for the day here unless you want to spend a small fortune on an excursion. The complex itself has one all inclusive resturant for food & drinks , and unless you stay at a pool near this facility , will find yourself relentlessly walking backwards and forwards all day (approx 10mins there & 10mins back) to fetch drinks or at meal times along a path covered in stones, in the heat , which wasnt my idea of a relaxing holiday . Montecastillo centre - just down the hill from the complex , has two supermarkets , multiple resturants and bars which are all well priced. The nearest beach to walk to is stunning , but go early or later in the day , as its a hike in the midday heat . You can hire loungers there for a few euros. There are groups partying all night until approx 4am in the morning blasting music and bashing on peoples windows , with no security or anyone to call to ask them to stop once reception shuts . A few people were broken into , had mobile phones , passports and money stolen , which is just obcene , you shouldnt have to go away and worry about that happening . If you do go here , just be uber cautious , make sure nothing is left in the room when you leave , kept windows and doors locked.We pushed a table up against the door overnight too Im far from a snob , but in all honesty dont know how this place is still going .If like us you work hard to have a holiday once every couple of years , please consider paying a bit more and go somewhere else on the island that you will enjoy more .
