I don’t usually write reviews but thought I would write a detailed one on this occasion to address the huge inconsistencies in ratings. This was a short break (5 nights) with my wife and all in all we throughly enjoyed our stay at Eurostars Las Salinas and would consider returning. We arrived around an hour late due to a delayed flight and when we checked in we were told that they had prepared a cold plate of food for us in the restaurant due to it being closed (very kind). There were many other positives including the location is amazing (right next to the beach, the room was lovely, large balcony, powerful shower etc. The food in the restaurant was great for an inclusive and they always had a variety that was constantly stocked up when running low. They had a full English for breakfast every morning, along with toast, pastries, pancakes, fruit, and even prosecco for those that wanted it! The lunch was great especially the salad options and burgers/hot dogs at the pool bar. Evening meal was great for all inclusive - always a fish and meat option being cooked, along with fresh salads, deserts, fruit, and they even had a gluten free section every day. It also didn’t really matter at which point in the opening hour window you arrived as there were always clean tables and ample warm food available. The food may have become slightly repetitive if we stayed longer but I don’t really see what else you could expect from an all inclusive that doesn’t advertise à la carte restaurant options. If you fancy a change then there are plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. The hotel has self service drinks stations where you can get your own soft drinks, beer, wines and sangria. We found this was a great way of avoiding queues at the bars. The pool bar also has ice cream and slush machines that are also included in the all inclusive. There are a few trips available from the marina including a catamaran boat trip (although the sea was very rough!), a mini glass bottom boat, fishing trips and even a sea lion opportunity. The main areas to improve would be the following: I suffer with chronic back pain and the furniture in the rooms were not great. I would wake mid-night, every night in pain, the sofa in our room was terrible/had partially collapsed and the only other chair didn’t really give any support as it was foam. The swimming pools were fine but are saltwater rather than chlorine, a bit too cold for August for us, and the sunbed situation is pretty ridiculous with people getting up before 6 am to put towels out. This always frustrates us as simple rules would stop this kind of sunbed wars. If you prefer to get up past 8am you were restricted to the quieter pool generally but there was a better breeze there anyway and it is quieter. If the hotel invested in around 50 more sunbeds and 20 more parasols, I don’t think this would really be an issue as there was plenty of spare space around the pools anyway, just not enough sunbeds. All in all this is a very good hotel, in a great location, with good rooms and very good food and drink. Please don’t let the odd really bad review put you off. This is a very good 4 star hotel that will enable you to have a good relaxing holiday!

“Just ok”

Most people during our visit didn't stay in long but there was guests especially kids that were fine. The sunbeds are worn and needs replacing, very uncomfortable. No sunbed wars which is great. While I was there for the week I seen half a dozen umbrellas go flying out of the base which is an injury waiting to happen. The pool ladies toilets almost always ran out of toilet paper by lunch time every single day. The hotel itself was visually nice enough and well maintained. Entertainment, can't comment on kids entertainment or daytime entertainment as we stayed at the quieter pool. Could hear it on morning until early afternoon. Evening entertainment was terrible. Probably the worst I've ever experienced at a hotel. Felt as if the hotel wanted guests to leave in the evenings. Food. Breakfast was great, lunch, dinner and snack bar most days was awful. There was maybe 3 occasions out of 7 lunches and 7 dinners that was nice. You get the usually chips and pasta with a choice of sauces, then fresh piece of fish or meat grilled in front of you which was ok .Probably again the worst I ever experienced all inclusive. Drinks- local branded drinks was fine the cocktails were awful. Love being able to go and self serve for soft drinks, beers and hot drinks. Staff - most staff were great just the odd couple that wasn't suited to hospitality. Overall, I would disagree that this is a four star hotel. The best value would be breakfast not all inclusive. I'm basing my review on comparasions to many other Spanish 4 star hotels I've stayed in.

I’m not normally one to write reviews but I’ve decided to write a review of my experience of Eurostars. I’ll start with the positive lovely position right next to the beach and location to explore the local area, shops, restaurants. If you go to the small pool there is a beach view area with sun beds. Now unfortunately the not so good. The hotel feels quite corporate. The rooms, well the room that my husband and I had although was quite spacious needs an upgrade. Very tired looking. The door of our internal freezer was missing and the freezer needing de iced due to this we reported this the day we arrived and was told someone would come the next day and fix it next day came not fixed went back down hadn’t been reported. So when we did go back up they had scraped all the ice out the freezer but still no door!! There is a kitchenette but very limited cooking facilities it does say that you can ask for additional equipment but doesn’t actually state what you need to go to reception. Being on a b and b basis I was planning on cooking a couple of nights but we ended up going out each night because of this no tea towels washing up liquid etc supplied. But I was also glad we were bed and breakfast as the food was ok, it was Luke warm even under the hot plates I found cockroaches at the bread station. It was very much the same everyday. I actually missed breakfast a couple of times. There were two mornings that a couple of waiters would take away the dirty dishes at our table whilst we were eating the rest of the time they were there until we left breakfast. In the mornings we would come down and there would be dirty glasses/cups lying about the game zone from the night before. In general the cleanliness was not great our bed was clean as were the towels and house keeping did come in every day but twice we said no to housekeeping as they didn’t turn up till 4.30/5.00pm and we were getting ready to go out. In general our room was clean but tired. The general areas I would say were unkempt the landings in the week I was there was not swept hair/dust and the tip of a silicone container were evident for the whole week. The pool area, we didn’t use the larger area and stuck to the small pool with the sea view sunbed weren’t an issue if you were down for 8.30 is. Beds could do with a good clean/renewed and more umbrellas. Lovely see view if you use this area which is a big plus! The tables at the sunbeds were filthy. I had taken antibacterial wipes and cleaned the tables I used and it was evident that they are not cleaned. The beach view area ground was dirty and in the time I was there I saw someone hose around the pool area but not at the beach view area, rubbish, clumps of hair just generally dirty again. Along with those who had all inclusive there are trays for empty cups. I would come down in the morning and they would still be full of empty dirty cups not taken away till the afternoon. I’m not sure if it’s stated but there is no lifeguard for the small pool, seen them walk up to the pool for the other pool area but then walk straight back to the big pool. One last thing we were pleased to know that there is a curtesy room as we weren’t leaving till 7pm on day of departure. Don’t think it’s an actual room it’s a toilet with a sink and a shower it is large but there is no window no extraction so it’s basically a sauna the heat become awful so much so we opened the door to finish dressing I was just as wet as I was after I got dressed due to the moisture/heat. Reception were aware of this when we mentioned it!!Not a pleasant experience, great full to get cleaned but it needs sorted!I just want to write an honest review I’m not making up stories it’s my experience. At most I’d rate the hotel as 3star not 3star plus which jet 2 have rated it. Sadly it will be a no return for us.
