Great hotel ! Spotless , staff great ! Location great ! Opposite the hotel lovely daytime restaurants, cosmos has the best garlic prawns burgers chicken for the kids , cherry tree great English food if you’re kids r fussy, hotel snack bar not the best they need to look at this so people don’t have to leave the hotel , everything else is perfect, pools warm! Loads of beds ! Rooms very spacious, lovely decor Could be a 5 star with a few minor adjustments

“Nice hotel”

Enjoyed our stay in the hotel, lovely room although the balcony was very small and not private at all. Disappointed that on the last day we had to shower in the pool showers as it was busy and not enough space to give us a slot to freshen up. Never had this in 40year of travelling. Enjoyed our stay in the hotel, lovely room although the balcony was very small and not private at all. Disappointed that on the last day we had to shower in the pool showers as it was busy and not enough space to give us a slot to freshen up. Never had this in 40year of travelling. Little things like that and the reception staff’s attitude made us not want to come back.

“More attention to detail and would be a certain 5 stars!”

We stayed at the HD Lobos all inclusive for 12 nights in March. We have given the hotel 4 stars because even though some aspects were well worth 5 stars, there were areas that need improvement to get there. We stayed at the HD Lobos all inclusive for 12 nights in March. We have given the hotel 4 stars because even though some aspects were well worth 5 stars, there were areas that need improvement to get there. Rooms 5 stars - excellent, modern suites and very quiet at night even in the family area. Beds extremely comfortable, showers excellent. One small gripe was that beds were only changed once every 6 nights, which we thought was a little long compared to other hotels in the Canaries. Nice range of toiletries and large bath towels a bonus! Staff 5 stars - All the staff, from reception to bars etc were outstanding. We had a couple of small issues at the start, but they were sorted professionally and quickly. Worthy of a special mention are: La Mirador bar….Carmen, Aysha, Rey Restaurant…..Laura and Mattys Animation……Nicole and Francesco Pool area 5 stars. The pool area does not open until 10am. I initially thought this was strange, but in fact, it was a good. Idea. There were plenty of sunbeds throughout our stay (and we were told the hotel was between 90 and 100 % full). So you can have a relaxing breakfast without a fear of not getting a sunbed. Excellent. One of the main pools where we used to sit was heated and a lovely temperature. AI drinks package 4.5 stars - beer great, good range of freshly made cocktails, although there were some additions that would improve this. Some popular cocktails were not included in AI such as mojitos (the wife loves these) and wine was not available in the Italian restaurant. You had to buy it, but the simple solution was to take a glass of wine from the bar into the restaurant from the bar! There was some confusion over whether tea and coffee are included on the AI package but this was cleared up during our stay. Main Restaurant 4 stars Breakfast. 4 Stars Omelettes excellent as were juices, fresh bread, pastries but some strange offerings such as meatballs, chicken wings and Brussels sprouts but overall good. Lunch. 4 Stars Generally good but a lot of the same each day. Choice of salads could be better and more variety is needed. Dinner. Varied between 3 - 4 Stars Sometimes great; sometimes not so great. We are not picky eaters and there was always something ….. Roast lamb and mint sauce was excellent. Pizzas very good and on every night. Duck in sauce very nice. Range of salads not great and very sandy, more variety would be good. Desserts were generally excellent although we are not great fans of tubs of ice cream and prefer the large gelato style help yourself tubs. In general though, the main restaurant needs a maitre’d who can organise everything ie clearing and setting up of tables. This didn’t seem to be happening during our visit. Italian Restaurant. 2 Stars Much more work is needed here. We visited the Italian restaurant on Wednesday and although not perfect, we had a great meal. Our second visit on Friday, however was totally awful. My pizza arrived quickly but was cold and not cooked properly, we were still waiting for my wife’s pasta over 30 minutes later. We ended up walking out (along with 4 other couples- something we have never done in our lives before). Upon speaking to Clara, the newly appointed public relations lady, we explained what had happened. We hope that HD Lobos management ‘listen and action’ our constructive points discussed with Clara. She was very helpful. Animation team 5 stars. Nicole, Francesco and the others were excellent. Couldn’t ask for more lively people to cheer you up each day! Enjoyed playing sjoelen and aqua gym / pool bike was great too.
