We stayed here for my 50th birthday we booked a One Bedroom bungalow with Chill Out Terrace and Whirlpool - Self Catering From the moment we arrived it was beautiful We used the whirlpool everyday which was so relaxing. The room was really big and had everything you needed ‘ washing machine , cooker ,fridge freezer, microwave , toaster,,kettle and a coffee maker all your plates cups ect They came and cleaned your room and changed towels half way through your holiday stay Our fan broke and with 30 mins we had a new delivered to the door The only thing here no air con !! The staff are very friendly and so polite We dis use the check online so when we arrived late It was so easy to do and key was in your log box next to the door we was given out codes and room number The parking was a bit of hit and miss but we did find somewhere to park even though it was at the top of the hill which didn’t bother us Loads of shops near by we used the food co only 3 mins walk and our daughter who’s autistic found Dr Pepper in there €2 for small and €3 for the big one which I thought was good for being abroad it also sold Iceland products!! Will definitely stay here again

Firstly, I think you should make sure you know exactly where your apartment/complex is, check Jet2, Haciendas site and do some good Google map searches before you leave the UK. I was dropped off by the coach transfer at a different complex, Island Village by The Food Co., plus there are two Haciendas (Haciendas and Haciendas IV) and so this could have become a nightmare before the holiday had even started. With some reasoning and some luck, I did find where I was meant to be very quickly, but believe me, signage isn’t at its best here so keep your eyes peeled. I saved my apartment location to Google maps before I left the UK, so on realising I was not dropped off exactly at my expected location, I used map directions to help me. I was a couple of hours early arriving at reception and was expecting to have to leave my case with them whilst housekeeping had sorted the place, luckily though, my apartment had just been finished, and they very kindly allowed me access. My apartment (214B) was spotless, on the table I found a bottle of red, a small bottle of white and enough tea, coffee and sugar to keep me going until I got to the shops, the fridge had a two-litre bottle of water also, excellent. I checked over everything, oven, microwave, toaster, washing machine, you’d think they were new. This place matches the photos on the Haciendas/Jet2 site exactly, no hidden surprises at all, if anything, I was surprised at the little extras that weren’t even mentioned. I arrived on Thursday afternoon, whilst I was out on the Sunday housekeeping came in and went through the place from top to bottom, fresh towels and bedding also, I didn’t even know this was in with the deal, they called again on the Wednesday, every three days it would seem. There are two large mobile fans in the apartment, which I didn’t need, if anything, it did get a bit chilly in the evening, which for mid-March you’d expect. But for later in the year during the high season, there isn’t any air conditioning which I find I little odd. Steps, you’ve read about the steps so don’t be surprised on arrival when you come across them, from my place to the gated entrance/exit, 146 of the pesky things. You can avoid many of them by entering the complex/your apartment from the parking lay-by on Avenida Europa, still at least 26 of them to get to my front door though. Wi-Fi was excellent throughout my stay, I was using three devices, and all were fine, listening to UK radio and watching UK TV live/catchup on my laptop. The entire resort is very up and down, very steep roads and pavements in places, I’m fit and able but after a few drinks and an evening meal down at the beach/main town areas, walking back is quite a slog. 90m (300 foot) climb in less than 1.5KM (1 mile) To the nearest, on foot as a stroll: Bar/restaurant – 2mins General shop – 3min Pharmacy – 3min The Food Co (Iceland and Morrisons stockist) - 4min Local shops, bars and eateries – 5min Main shops, bars and restaurants – 10min Beaches - 15min stroll at most, various routes once you know your way around

“Loved it”

We enjoyed one week in the Luxury Villa in February. The heated private pool was perfect for the four of us and we enjoyed it a lot. We enjoyed one week in the Luxury Villa in February. The heated private pool was perfect for the four of us and we enjoyed it a lot. We had daily cleaning so the house was in perfect condition every day. The villas are close to several grocery stores and a short drive away from a large Supermercado and Siam Mall which is good because there is no restaurant or bar at the Villas. There are a few restaurants close by, but the villas are quite far from the beach and all the restaurant and shops. I loved the villa but wasn’t very fond of Adeje as it felt too busy.

“Lovely clean accommodation spoiled by awful access and tired pool areas”

We booked the 2 bed bungalow (it’s an apartment) with large terrace and sea view for a family of 4. The accommodation was really good and spotlessly clean, well appointed and very spacious. The terrace had a lovely view and a range of furniture. Teens loved the hammock. It was very good. However the location is not great. Quite far out of Adeje and an awful uphill walk back. Then an equally awful uphill walk in the Hacienda Village itself - some 150 steps to our apartment. Ruined it really. Made it difficult to get luggage up there (no lifts) and raw concrete very steep slope to drag cases up; and with self-catering, to get any decent amount of shopping up there. If you were not fit, you’d be in trouble here. The pool you see advertised is separate to the main apartment block and instead there are two small very tired pools unless you want to walk down 150 steps, up a hill and up more steps (in the heat - er, nope!). Only 9 beds by each pool and with 60 apartments, this could get challenging if full (but we were ok). Rules re no music by pool not monitored and groups of boys whacking out thumping music by pool annoying. No toilets by pool and 60-90 steps for loo break depending if closer pool full. We had a nice time but sadly won’t return to this accommodation.
