Stayed 8 nights all-inclusive (2 adults, 2 children aged 10 & 13). Overall, a decent 3-star hotel and good value for money. Positives: Rooms are a good size with kitchenette and large balcony. Pool area is well maintained and the mini fridge was restocked daily with drinks. Food was better than expected for a 3-star—great salads, good breakfast choice, and nice stone-baked pizzas. Sunday BBQ was a highlight. Staff like Sebastian (sports pool), Jose (pool bar), and Amanda (entertainment) were excellent. Negatives: The hotel is clearly understaffed—long queues at the bar, tables not cleared quickly, and items like cutlery running out. Entertainment was limited and inconsistent. Rarely offered drinks at meals. Issues on arrival with air con and bedding. Pool bar ran out of beer during the day. Area is quiet with restaurants nearby. Beach close by is stony, but a sandy beach and Costa Adeje are a short distance away. Siam Park is a must. Overall, a standard 3-star—some good points but let down by staffing. Would consider returning at the right price.

“Lovely Holiday and location”

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Rooms were clean and enough for what we needed. We needed to switch rooms through no fault of their own but they kindly upgraded us which we didn't expect. Really close to the beach and only 14 minutes roughly to Siam Water Park. Close to the next town with a lovely sandy beach, shops and restaurants. The cleaners and reception were really polite and helpful. There was some entertainment on in the main sports bar but we never heard the noise from our rooms when we wanted an early night. Taxis are really cheap compared to the UK and reception order you one which turns up within 5 minutes. Right next to a little shop if you need water wine etc. Their was a good variety of food. All 5 of us found something to eat. The only problem we ate too much. The only disappointment was the other guests putting towels on the chairs and not going to pool! This isn't the staffs fault but I don't think it should be allowed. This happens everywhere though.

Overall good, I'll break it down more: Location; nice location, top end of Adeje, close to a small beach, a few shops, mini marts and restaurants around, if you want it more quite and family orientated go here, we took the bus [ 467 ] into Adeje a few times €8 for 6 of us so cheap enough, only downside here is the transfers, 1hr 30mins on the way in and 2hrs 10mins on the way home - not the hotels fault but On The Beach, if you want to stay here consider a taxi/Uber or car rental from Airport! Good views of the sea, parking around the back the street if you're renting a car, hop over the road to the beach (beach is nice but pebbly at near end) also on Atlantic so expect waves/breakers for small kids head into town and the more family friendly beaches if you want little ones to paddle etc, but great for us Food; not bad, its a small hotel, decent food the options obviously a bit limited but we ate well every day, BBQ one night, plenty of brekky to go at, lunch probably the most limited but tea was fine, pizza great (own wood fired oven - nice and crispy!) for coffee hit the Lavazzo machine - the other is a bit milky and weak! We also got free beer and soft drinks in the fridge topped up every day (all inclusive), Pool Bar good there is free hotdogs, hamburgers, nuggets, buns, coffee and ice cream, nuts and slushies, plus the usual drinks, bars are good and nice selection, though on last night we seemed to have a barman that made everything in a tumbler and was orange, before that we got proper Mojitos, G&T, Cosmopolitans (in a nice cocktail glass) Tom Collins and 'Love is in the Air' whatever that is ( didn't have one myself) Rooms; nice, air con in ours was a blessing, serviceable, yes a little dated but nothing wrong with them at all, we say dated you could just say it was their style, beds were fine, yes firm but clean, well sprung and I had really good sleep, linen always clean, cleaners did a good job and we never had issues Facilities; we didn't use the Jacuzzi on the top floor but used the pools a lot, both adequate, nice temp not freezing not too warm, played pool ( 2€) foosball ( free) and did the Aloe Vera class (free plus 2 bottles to take away) used the book swap, accurate weighting machine handy at leaving time as we'd lost ours, didn't try gym or spa Reception; all good, helpful friendly, as were the 'tourist / tour office' in the foyer, we booked Siam Park and Loro Park through them, very helpful with maps, booking times etc, advise on the AVIS rental (though the self service kiosk kept failing so we used alternative in town in the end), got there before room ready but they gave us wristbands and let us eat and roam - left our luggage in a locker room so thats good (had hotels that don't and get real fussy when you leave but they went at all) Staff; all helpful , polite, friendly, only thing I have to say here is a few times they were short staffed (not staffs fault of course) but meant that some tables didn't get cleaned on busy times and your drinks could be a bit late on arrival So overall a nice hotel, nice location, quiet at the end of there bay, if thats what you want great - we wanted quiet - we also had a quiet week, got bit more hectic as we left

“A bargain for the price and right by the sea”

I stayed with my 7 year old at the Hovima Jardin Caleta. We arrived really late and missed dinner the first night, so the kind reception lady gave us a voucher to eat lunch the following day instead, without us needing to even ask. We stayed in room 241 which was second floor and with a nice pool view. There are lifts to get to the higher floors. The room was a one bedroom apartment, so a big size for two of us. The room is basic but very clean. There’s a small kitchen with fridge and a room safe. The pool area is well maintained and we see the pool being cleaned daily. The pool doesn’t open until 9am until 6pm. I think that it should be open later than 6, as there’s still sun at that time and some of the children didn’t want to leave. We didn’t have any issues with getting sunbeds. On our first few days there was a hotel worker removing any towels laid before 9am, which helped prevent people taking beds when they wasn’t using them straight away. This didn’t happen after the first few days and the sunbed wars started and it was harder to find beds. So I do think the hotel needs to keep this rule in place, as people can relax more without stressing about getting somewhere to sit each morning. The hotel pool bar offers snacks and drinks. You pay one euro for a recycle type cup that you get the money back for at the end of the holiday, but they change the cups for each drink. It’s a great way to prevent recycling and waste. The barman was always very busy but always smiled and was very friendly. The pools offer a kids pool, a more shallow pool at one metre deep and two deeper areas at 1.75m. The pool water was warm and refreshing. The children’s mini club was fun. The children’s rep Amanda was a bundle of energy, every engaging and really encouraged the children to join in. She offered activities such as water games, pizza making, aloe vera making and the mini disco. The hotel food was good. A wide selection of hot and cold foods. Breakfast was repetitive but there was a lot of choice and we was happy for a treat day of churros some days. Dinner they organised different themes such as seafood, oriental and Mexican as examples. There was even sushi and paella one evening. So always something for everyone to eat. Breakfast you have juices and hot drinks included and dinner just water, but you can order drinks and pay or create a tab on your room if you’re not all inclusive. At breakfast one morning there was a violinist which was lovely. The cocktails were very reasonable. 6euros each. Most surrounding bars are 12euros. The only thing I could say would be better in the restaurant is more fresh fruit and not the tinned stuff. They had fresh melon some nights which was nicer. They did have ice cream and cakes which were really good. The sports bar where they run the entertainment was fun for the kids. There’s pool tables, football table and entertainment such as a mini disco some nights and live music too. The children loved meeting at the pool bar if an evening to play which was nice. The rooms were cleaned all but two days which was enough for us. Our cleaner Lourdes was so friendly and my son loved greeting her because she would speak back to him in Spanish when he tried to practice he’s. On our last night they did a dinner show where they had the violinist playing, dinner by the pool and a saxophonist. It looked lovely. We didn’t go but would definitely try it next time as it did look a nice evening. The hotel is in a quiet area, right across from the seafront. So you can sit and eat in the restaurant and enjoy the views both inside and outside. There’s a lovely beach bar on La Enramada beach. Try the barraquito there if you like coffee. It’s a special Canadian coffee and it’s delicious. The piña coladas are amazing too. You can watch the paragliders land in front of the beach bar and at sundowners as they have live music on the beach there. The sea was more rough there and rocky, but my son enjoyed finding crab parts and nice shells there. So I could relax having a cocktail as he did that with me joining in aswell. Del Duque beach is only 15-20 minutes walk away along the sea front and the restaurants of La Caleta only 5-7 minutes walk away. There’s not many souvenir shops nearby, so walk into Del Duque area for that. There is a small supermarket and restaurant next to the hotel. The hotel does not have a shop, only a vending machine. The hotel has a small children’s park which is nice for the younger ones. There is a bus stop 5 minutes from the hotel if you want to get the local bus to and from the airport. You need to change at Las Americas bus station but it’s 45 minutes in total and it cost us 10 euros for us both. Overall I would rate this hotel as extremely high value for the price we paid. Yes the rooms are basic, but they are clean, with great views and the staff friendly. If you want a cheap getaway, in a friendly, chilled resort, then consider Hovima. We would definitely stay here again for a cheap trip away.
