We visited towards the end of the Easter holidays as two families. First impressions were good, great location, well maintained hotel and lovely rooms with plenty of space. The resturant was nice, although sometimes a bit noisy, but the food was good with plenty to choose from at each meal and not too repetitive. If you are staying on an AI basis the poolside snacks were quite l disappointing compared to the resturant food meaning if you wanted to have a nice lunch you had to go inside. Ice creams on offer at the bar could be a bit more varied, again these ones on offer in the resturant were great. The hotel is split into two sections, families and adults only, however during peak times it seems as though families are allocated rooms in the adults size due to demand, the downside of this means that there are far too many families trying to use the family pool, without enough sunbeds, whilst the adult side is half empty. This set up doesn't seem to work well in busy periods. There are lots of rules in the family pool too which seems a bit extreme. The evening entertainment was mixed. The night bar was a lovely space but felt really under used, it would be a great area for some other entertainment options like a family quizz. Overall we had a nice stay, and felt that it was good value for money, but it could be a lot better with some small changes.

We would not put anyone off staying at Hovima suites but there are better options in the area . All in all had a nice stay Z

This is an honest review , hotel is really not a 4 star property. Rooms are mediocre, our 'upgrade' to a room with pool view was squashed in at the end of the building in a triangle shape & no sun at all. Room itself was tired & bathroom needed upgraded. Staff are the least friendliest I have ever came across in tenerife. No Good Morning by anyone or even smiles. A couple of the bar staff were nice, but mainly it was a strict hotel run by their orders and not a relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff. Antique safe , with a charge & barrelled lock. Money not returned. Towels , must be returned to reception before you leave or charged £28 per towel. Everything was an order rather than, have a lovely holiday vibe. No indoor seating area at all, all bars are outside. Rooftop Bar , staff again not the friendliest & inflated prices just to see a view. The two most disappointing things are quite big & I know there are much better customer friendly hotels out there. Food was very lacking in inspiration, ok, canteen style, we didnt try the other restaurant because it was not included in any packages & we felt that going out offered much better deals. If you were half-board & wanted to swap for lunch instead of dinner then 24 hours notice was required to amend , again regime not relaxed. 1. Hotel entertainment staff offering a draw of 2 cocktails in Rooftop bar if guest go on to review sites & give them a 5 star review - the rep would have to check that it was completed on their phone. 2. Requesting a late checkout requires you to muster at reception for 8.30am on the day of departure to make a request face to face. Lottery, some will, some wont. 35 euros for 3 hours and paid there & then or it was not actioned, this is 2026 !!! The weather made up for the poor service of this hotel.

Staff at front desk very helpful but staff manning the bars not so much, especially the one at the family pool bar. Rooms are big, but very shabby. The wall mounted desk was on its last legs, hanging at an angle which cups struggled to not slide off. Bathroom floor is breaking up and has lots of exposed screws holding it down. Extractor fan didn’t work at all the whole time even though we reported it on the first night. Info TV was in Spanish, might have been available in English but couldn’t see how to change the language. Also it comes on every time you put the room key in the power slot which gets annoying. On our first night we noticed the room door didn’t latch closed and a gentle push could open it. Had to wait for the handyman to fix before we could leave the room, only took about 20 mins so not bad. Safe in room is old style with a key so you have to carry a key everywhere instead of remembering a PIN code. Costs 3 euros a day too. Main double bed is comfy but double sofa bed is dreadful, better off sleeping on the floor. Really should be at least two fixed beds when selling a family room for 4 people. A week on a creaky uncomfortable bed that feels like it might collapse any moment doesn’t make you think luxury. Not many coat hangers in the cupboard. We requested more, and they came, but they were the type that needs to be fitted in to the bit that stays on the rail so obviously they were absolutely no use to us at all. Our room faced the main road so we were woken up every morning by traffic as the balcony door didn’t really close properly. Even when closed and locked there was a half inch gap between the door and the jamb so it was like it was always ajar. If the traffic didn’t wake us then the cleaner did. Some days it sounded like she was marching up and down the corridor banging pots and pans. But getting up early was handy for something… You have to be sharp in the morning as the towels brigade are out very early even though there are signs saying no reservations. The pool areas are big but not enough beds compared to size of hotel. First day we struggled to get a lounger which is annoying especially when you see that some have been “reserved” but not used. Family pool was mobbed, adult only pools were empty. Food was ok, generally a good choice on offer but often cold. Could do with a cutlery station as once they have taken away your used cutlery it can be a challenge finding clean ones. Like any buffet if you arrive near the end you will have less choice as they tend not to refill things with half hour to go. Entertainment was ok. Half hour disco for little kids then some kind of music show after that. Unfortunately the seating area is too small for the size of hotel so you’d be lucky to find a seat unless you are sitting there before the mini disco starts at 20:15. Small games arcade next to well stocked shop looks like it has been abandoned years ago. Half the machines didn’t work. We went all inclusive but probably didn’t get our monies worth compared to previous holidays. Not much food on the go outside the fixed meal times which is the reason we go all inclusive so the kids can eat whenever they want. They have burgers, hotdogs, nachos and croissants at the pool for about an hour or so but I guarantee you only try them once. 🥴 The inclusive drink selection was a bit limited and the cocktails were naff to be fair. They all looked and tasted the same, didn’t matter what you asked for you just got a random drink in a reusable, opaque, tumbler. We got served an alcoholic San Francisco once when my 11 yr old daughter was at the bar but thankfully she didn’t like the taste and was able to swap it for the nonalcoholic version! The all inclusive ice creams at the pool bar are just cheapo tasteless tubs which is quite disappointing. And most of the time they don’t even have the baskets stocked with the three flavours so you have to take the baskets out and unpack the boxes underneath yourself. The first few days we had 3 flavours then after that just strawberry. The guy manning the bar just shrugged when I tried to talk to him about it. Compared to our last holiday at a Zafiro hotel this was definitely not at the same level. Main positive was hotel location (5mins/€10 taxi to Siam Park) but an abundance of small negatives which means although we still had a really good family holiday we couldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely wouldn’t come back.
