I recently stayed at the Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level with a friend from 20th–27th June as part of an easyJet Holidays package, and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations. The food and drinks were outstanding throughout our stay. There was a great variety every day, the quality was consistently high, and the Royal Level experience made everything feel that little bit more special. Our room was always clean, comfortable and well maintained, giving us everything we needed for a relaxing week away. One thing that says everything about how much we enjoyed our stay is that I’ve already booked to come back in late September, this time directly with Barceló. As a bonus, our flight home was unexpectedly cancelled, meaning we stayed for an extra two days. Rather than seeing it as a problem, we were genuinely delighted to have even more time to enjoy the hotel—which probably says everything about how much we loved our stay! I’d also like to thank Noura, who helped me over the telephone with my new booking. She was incredibly helpful, patient and professional, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. A special thank you as well to Javi and Youseff at the Royal Level pool bar. They were always friendly, welcoming and made sure we were well looked after throughout our stay. Their warmth and hospitality made me feel as though I’d made two new friends. A very special thank you has to go to Barbara from the WeHappy Entertainment Team. She genuinely made a huge impact on my holiday. Her positivity, kindness and enthusiasm always put a smile on my face and made every day around the Royal Level pool even more enjoyable. She has such a natural ability to make guests feel welcome and is a real credit to the hotel. She played a big part in making this one of the best holidays I’ve had. I’d also like to thank the Royal Level reception team, who were always friendly and helpful, and really went the extra mile to help me when my flight was cancelled, along with everyone at breakfast for their excellent service every morning. I’m already counting down the days until I return in September, and I’ve enjoyed the hotel so much that I’m now trying to persuade my mum and sister to join me too. I have no doubt they’ll love it just as much as I did. Thank you to everyone at Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level for such a fantastic holiday. I can’t wait to see you all again in September!

Great hotel. Especially royal level plenty of space. On edge of Costa Teguise but never needed to leave resort as all my needs catered for in resort!

The location of tge hotel isn't fantastic if you like going down the main strip and tge nain beach. The location of tge hotel isn't fantastic if you like going down the main strip and tge nain beach. It's located approximately 8/10 minutes away by bus and 5 mins by taxi, so easy enough to access but we were used to being in a closer proximity to the goings on. The Hotel itself is nice and clean, however, there were quite a few issues regarding maintenance: pools not clean, which was surprising/ lifts not working for over 59% of our stay including the day we checked in and out meaning I had to lug our baggage up and down 3 seems of stairs/ poolside showers did not work / our door onto our balcony had no way of securing it so we had to keep essential belongings with us as room was not secure (see photos),and other minor issues. This is labelled as a family friendky hotel, which i can state, it is NOT. We experienced a very poor interaction with hotel staff early on in the holiday that stained the remainder of our stay. There were 2 standout employees that I feel I must mention, the guest relation manager Beatrice or Bellatrix, and the amazing member of the service team Javier, who worked the bar at the infinity pool area. Without these 2 I would have rated this review a 1 star. The family room was a decent size with a very large bed in the main bed area and just a sofa bed for the kids, so not great. Ghe cleanliness was 5 star as the maid was in daily and did an outstanding job. The ROYAL LEVEL " thing" is just a part of the hotel partitioned and made out to be exclusive, it really isn't all that. We had a royal level buffet restaurent Asana, but the main hotel restaurent was better with more options. Both restaurants were missing a kids selection, which again made it obvious its not really family orientated. Kids party starts at 7pm fir 45 mins then have to wait till 9.30 for main entertainment to begin, really poor planning I would say. We have paid less for holidays and experienced better, so don't be fooled by the royal level title, as the substance just isn't there. Drinks in the main lounge are pre made, which again, not great considering what your paying. The atmosphere in the hotel is calm and elegant, our room was situated by the stairs/lift so got quite noisy quite late on. Our last stay in Costa Teguise was at the oasis Lanz and it was not as nice a looking hotel, but the stay was far superior. In conclusion, wouldn't stay again and don't book thinking that as it's royal level hour going to experience something superior, as you'll be disappointed.
