Just back from a great week at Teguise Beach where we had a wonderful stay. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. With a special call out to Matias who organised the daily activities - from exercise classes in the pool, Yoga & Pilates over looking to the daily games and activities he was excellent. Although if you wanted to just chill and enjoy the pool (with welcoming breeze) the setting was perfect; and the restaurant front of house with the restaurant itself covering all our varied tastes and preferences. All our rooms were well maintained and well tendered to due our stay. The gym being well equipped, with all the machines in good order, making it a an excellent and very much enjoyed week away . Thank you Nic PS. If there was one recommendation I would make it would be for the the food to be better labelled on the buffet

Came to Lanzarote for the first time for a get away with with some sun with my partner. Had an amazing time exploring the island in the 2 weeks we had booked together here at this hotel in a junior suite room. Met alot of a nice people during our trip and every single member of the hotel staff where lovely. Matias was really good with his pool entertainment, including quizs / poolside games and bingo to which we won a bath circuit. Bath circuit was really nice inside with a steam room, sauna and a pool to refresh. We also have to mention the lady who helped with the excursions she she was excellent with helping us book and we got talking to her alot during our 2 weeks, sorry I didn't catch the name haha. We went halfboard the food was really nice a mix of everything most days and a good choice. Champs bar also have great food i recommend to try food here for sure during a stay. We got the burger absolutely delicious! The area is located in the centre area of Lanzarote I would say, excellent location as it's near the airport, also near alot of shops and the beach for when you want to wonder out. I always felt pretty safe here also as some places you need to grip onto your bags for dear life! The pool area looks amazing and you have probably seen it on Google 100s of times now. Volcano is a really interesting part of the island / and the Sunday market is worth a visit! Overall can't really complain too much, Champs bar has entertainment at 10pm with singers that's worth checking out. House keeping was fabulous always happy to talk and rooms clean. What i would say is that when we first came we some things we never got told about so we didnt figure it out till like 4 -5 days later. For example the machine / computer near the desk tells you when events are and the tv in the room doesn't have netflix / limited tv channels. I believe the safe in room costs to use, although didn't use it i dunno why this is not free. I could write alot more but feel like I would go on for another 1000 words so overall highly recommend to come here!

“An honest review”

HOTEL Check in was quick and efficient, welcome drink of water, orange juice or Prosecco on arrival. Room key was a wristband which I do prefer as everyone gets a key and no worrying that cards get lost etc. Although these ones are very temperamental. Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 12. Late checkout is available, it can be extended to 3pm, you have to enquire 2 days before you leave and costs €45. You can book a 30min slot in a courtesy room to shower etc if not. However AI finishes at 12, no exceptions - which is a bit of a let down. The hotel is situated close to the beach, plenty of shops, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. There is always someone on hand to help. ROOM Initial impressions of the room were very good, the room was a decent size and they had all the amenities you would need, including a cloths steamer, hairdryer and safe. The fridge was stocked with Coke, Water and Beers. Priced around €3.50 at the time of writing. The “hot tub” was a nice touch, it’s basically a jacuzzi style bath but it was good to use in the evening with a few drinks. It did become apparent that the rooms were a bit on the tired side but they were perfectly functional. Broken and leaky shower doors, chipped toilet seats and general wear is soon apparent. The air con was noisy and largely ineffective, although we may have just been unlucky as others had no issues. Also there was no full length mirror and I’m reliably informed this is a big deal… RESTAURANTS 2 Al a Carte and 1 Buffet Champs Sports Bar Also serves as a Al A Carte style restaurant, serving a variety of foods from Nachos to Burgers and Pizzas from 1pm - 9pm. This is table service for both food and drinks. Whilst the service is very quick for both food and drinks, once you had been served it was difficult to get a refill. Several times we went to the bar to order and was told someone will come to the table. The food itself is similar to that of your pub/restaurant chains back home, it wasn’t bad food by any means but wasn’t anything to shout about. There were also 2 pool tables, a foosball table and pinball machine, it is a great environment and lovely atmosphere. One of the best things about the hotel. Bistro Pool Bar and Restaurant This was the second of the Al A Carte, also table service, their menu offered a good selection including salads, sandwiches, pasta and burgers. It also serves as the pool bar and has an ice cream stand which offers good quality ice creams in varying flavours, although the wait to be served ice cream took a while. Both Al a Carte restaurants were exceptionally quick with food, had friendly staff and were my preferred place to eat. Buffet There is 1 buffet style restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. This is help yourself and drinks are table service. The table service was quick and efficient and it wasn’t too difficult to flag someone down for a refill. Food offerings were plentiful and there was certainly something for everyone. Food was OK, it is your typical buffet offering a variety of international dishes. POOL 2 pools, the main pool and an infinity style pool. The main pool is a decent size and the hotel complex surrounds it. It is a heated pool and set to a decent temperature. Decent depth all round(1.45m). The infinity style pool is a little cooler and not as deep (1m), on side has seats to relax, jets are also available, they only seem to work in one area and have to be turned on by staff. Pool towels are provided and can be exchanged daily. Sun loungers, these are situated by both pools. You have the normal style and the bed style with a canopy. However, all loungers are reserved very early and umbrellas are scarce. There are various signs saying in your lounger is left for more than 60mins it will be removed but the hotel does not enforce this and we observed beds that had had towels on them as early at 8am with no-one using till lunch time. Unfortunately it is a case of getting up early and joining the circus if you want to secure a decent sunbed. BARS 3 main bars, the sports bar, pool bar and a cocktail bar. All serve a large variety of drinks and the AI range is very good with lots of “branded” spirits included. I thought the drinks offering was excellent. However the only bar that serves drinks to the pool uses the syrup and gas machines serving Coke/Fanta/Sprite etc, every day these were flat. Despite numerous complaints for several guests this never changed. This seemed restricted to the pool bar as both Champs and the Cocktail bar used bottled mixers. They had live music every night at one of the bars. OVERALL Personally, I would not say this was a 4* hotel and it did not live up to what we have come to expect. The hotel is not bad per se and the location was good but an accumulation of little thing’s just meant this was not as enjoyable as it probably should have been it just left us disappointed. There are certainly better hotels (as I’m sure there are worse). Did it ruin the holiday, no. But would I return/recommend, also no. I will add that I couldn’t fault the staff, they were all very polite, attentive and happy but if you’re looking for a 4* hotel this is not it. I’ve read other reviews on this hotel and while I’m not alone in some of the issues I had there is an overwhelming positive opinion of the place. Maybe I was unlucky, maybe I just have higher expectations - I don’t know!
