Our family had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and thoughtfully arranged. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and effortless. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The beds were incredibly cozy, the view was stunning, and we especially appreciated how spacious the room was for our whole family. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, truly a 10/10 and somewhere we would happily return to. While we appreciated all the staff, one person in particular stood out during our stay Samuell. He was exceptional and left a lasting impression. Thank you again, Barcelo.

Decided to come here last minute and genuinely the only thing we would say needs improvement is the WiFi! Everything else is lovely. The staff are just fantastic, really helpful and always attentive and smiling. There is always little things like the WiFi isn’t that good in public areas, and the running machines at the gym could do with a service but they are only if we are being picky! The food is good for an all inclusive and the drinks are also decent; alcohol and non alcoholic drinks are served (although there could be a bit more choice for non alcoholic drinks) but again, nothing bad, just could do with more variety! We nearly paid for Royal Level but tbh the Normal level of service and food is absolutely spot on anyway! The gym is pretty decent for a hotel gym, and the adults only pool is a real win; the areas around the hotel are spotless and clean, they even have robotic hoovers and cleaners doing their thing about the place! Pretty cool! The hotel vibe is really chilled, it’s about 15 Minutes from the airport so there are planes coming and going a few times in the morning and evening but you don’t really Notice them! The towns adjacent are a 10/15 minute walk away, one is really Spanish (Los Abrigos) which is lovely to be able to capture the local atmosphere! Golf Del Sur says it in the name; a golf resort, not far to walk to and some nice coffee shops and restaurants on the way. All in all the hotel really is lovely, is great for couples, families, retired people, anyone really! Would definitely book to come back 😊.

We stayed for a week at Barcelo Hotel over Easter and we had a mixed experience but this is definitely not a 5 star but rather a 3-4 star hotel. The good - Staff - working hard and always happy to help despite the extremely long shifts - Close to the airport and despite being under the direct flight path the noise wasn’t disturbing The average - Dated rooms although quite big with 2 single beds pushed together to form a double. Also on wheels so sliding during the night is constant - Room service cleanliness not up to standard with glasses not being washed but only rinsed. After “cleaning” they smelled of whatever we had to drink from them the night before - Location - quite remote and without a rental car difficult to get to other areas. - Entertainment- not to our taste, catering more to the British public with Queen tribute singers and Sweet Caroline on repeat. They could have more Spanish music as you’re in Spain after all The bad - The food quite bland and the dinner buffet despite many options have very limited protein choices . The snack bar for lunch only had fried food and hotdogs which is not up to the standard this hotel is targeting. Burgers had hotdog meat, everything fried to death. - Only 1 restaurant for breakfast and dinner - there’s no water or any drinks for that matter included with the evening meal on either half board or all inclusive. They charge 3.5€ for a small water which is extortionate when a glass of wine is 4-5€. Cocktails are also very poor quality - no water in the rooms. You get a complimentary carton of water on check in that never gets replenished . At a 5 star hotel water should be freely available everywhere - Sunbeds - there are clearly not enough for the amount of rooms as people were reserving beds at 7am. At 8:30am around the main pool there were no beds left. By 9am nothing available around any of the several pools. On 2 different days when we were staying we saw families laying their beach towels on the concrete next to the pool as there were no sunbeds available. The hotel has a no reservation policy but it is not enforced. You can’t pretend to be a 5 star hotel if families have to stay on concrete or chairs as there’s no sunbeds.
