Today is our last day so I’m writing this whilst fresh! Myself and my 8 yr old son came here for a long Easter weekend break. We have had a really enjoyable 5 nights and timed it perfectly for good weather. The Royal Level areas made it for us - the heated pool overlooking the sea, plenty of loungers and seating options. The heating in the pool was needed this time of year. The staff were wonderful, plenty of drinks and snacks. Children were allowed thankfully as there are not in the other Barceló RL hotel. The only drawback to the RL pool is there is no food served like the main pool but it’s a minor point. There was also the main pool area and a tiered pool area with a separate kids, shallow and adults only area. The main pool was busy but the rest always seemed quite quiet. I liked that you can get small snacks & ice creams from a snack station. We didn’t try the Breeze pool bar for food which I wish we had as I heard it was very good. The Drago (main buffet) was good. We struggle a bit in Spain with the amount of pork served here as we don’t eat red meat, but there was fresh fish, chicken and salad options and a fresh pasta station. This was a bit repetitive for us but if you eat red meat, there would be plenty of options as the themed bits change every day. The RL restaurant had similar but smaller buffet and à la carte options with a full kids menu which was helpful. We wanted to try the Italian and lunchtime pizza but it was closed Sunday & Monday so unfortunately didn’t time well for us. I heard the Arrozante restaurant was very good but it was not included and with a 25% discount, wasn’t worth it for me with a fussy child. Our room was great, with a sea view which is more of a resort view as there’s no beach here but still pretty. Overall quiet, spacious, clean and with very comfortable beds. Possibly the best hotel pillows I’ve found! We were facing the entertainment but it was finished by 10.30 and with the doors closed didn’t bother us. The balcony was large and the chairs really comfortable. We both slept really well with good blackout curtains (if you have kids you know how critical these are). Bathroom was fine. My son enjoyed the football/basketball court, “beach” volleyball and table tennis. One recommendation is that they redo the court fencing and enclose it so that the balls don’t fly about in the wind. The afternoon kayak session was fun. The animation team seemed very good although we didn’t use the kids club but they were welcoming and enthusiastic. I liked the size of the resort, easy to navigate, a quiet location than the big areas but close to other things. We did a boat trip from the marina which was exceptional and saw dolphins and whales. Overall, I really enjoyed this for a shortish break. We usually go to Turkey or Dubai where the resorts are 5 star + so I wasn’t sure what to expect in Tenerife and was a bit nervous, but I was pleased with our choice and thought the RL was great.

“Relaxing enjoyable holiday”

Wonderful hotel. Staff can’t do enough to make your holiday enjoyable. Service at RL pool, restaurant and Breeze bar restaurant was always excellent. Wonderful hotel. Staff can’t do enough to make your holiday enjoyable. Service at RL pool, restaurant and Breeze bar restaurant was always excellent. Gym was clean, modern and 24hours (shame the cross fit area was not open but didn’t impact our enjoyment). We love the fact that the use of sports equipment was open the sports courts remained open with flood lights for free use at night. Beautiful clean resort. Lots of seating and relaxing areas. One improvement perhaps would be to have slightly more organised activities during the day. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back!
