First time at sunset view and it was really good. Let’s start with the room - clean, well equipped, great air con and ceiling fans, lovely balcony, (all have a see view I think?) they are a good size but the sofa turned bed wasn’t great as it was to much of a ball ache to keep putting it back circus to sit to watch tv so we had to sit on our bed to watch tv so not together which didn’t really matter much as my twins are 17! So bear that in mind. The bathroom is clean and functional but not that big for an older family of 4 and 2 of them being teenage girls that faff with hair a lot! The door was very noisy/drafty from the winds in the evening. Also loud entertainment from across the street went all night! Ha ha..we go on holiday to sleep but the kids said it was ok just bad singing! Pool area - really nice, clean, can hire towels, secure - need key card to access unless u go through the cafe. No sun-bed wars but u do get the people who stay in the apartments by the pool either leaving towels out at night or v.early morning as they WERE having the beds outside their apartments. I’m glad our apt wasn’t near the pool as we like a bit more privacy. Pool cafe/restaurant - this was really nice! We ate there for lunches and drinks. We had Rui as our server, he was just a doll! We had spaghetti’s, lasagnes all such good quality and super tasty then we went on a Sunday I think and it wasn’t so good so we didn’t have another meal there, it may have been a different chef but Rui wasn’t there either but service good just waited a while & we didn’t enjoy it. Restaurants - lots to choose from literally over the road! We had some really excellent food. The Chinese being a highlight but every meal was good and service was good too. Also the supermarket is a stones throw so if you fancy some drinks and snacks to fill the fridge or save on lunches then it’s ideal. Check in easy enough altho was charged an extra €20 for early check in, we just wanted to get in our room so they have you cornered! All in all a really good hotel with everything just on your doorstep, would definitely recommend. Will attach some pics.

“Wonderful stay — accessible, spotless, thoughtful and perfectly located”

We stayed at Sunset View Club in Golf del Sur in June and absolutely loved it. The complex is beautiful, well maintained and very grecian looking with the blue domes and white walls. The apartment was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning and safe were included free of charge, which was a big bonus and the kitchen was really well equipped with all the essentials, including a coffee maker, iron, hairdryer and more. The filtered water tap was a big surprise and saved us a lot of money (and single use plastic) on bottles of water! There were so many other thoughtful little touches that made the apartment feel easy and comfortable to use, like warm/white light bedside lamps and a motion-sensor light in the bathroom. It also had lots of coat hooks, which seems like something you wouldn't be bothered about, but was actually really handy and usually lacking in other places we've been. I also really appreciated how eco-conscious the resort is, with unbleached toilet paper and cleaning every four days to help reduce waste. The WhatsApp service was brilliant, as it meant we could ask questions or make enquiries without needing to physically go to reception. Which is great for me with mobility problems and sometimes difficulties in social settings. Staff were quick, helpful and friendly throughout. This is genuinely the most accessible place I have ever stayed. There are ramps, step free apartments and a pool hoist. The resort is autism friendly and very accommodating accessibility wise. Before we travelled, I emailed to ask whether we could have an upstairs apartment overlooking the quieter waste land, as I’m sensitive to noise and was worried about being disturbed by the complex across the road. They replied quickly and kindly accommodated the request, which made a huge difference to my stay. The pool bar was lovely and the staff there were fantastic. There was live music and a barbecue on some days, which created a nice atmosphere. The pool area was great overall, although the only things I would have liked were moveable parasols, rather than fixed ones and a bit more enforcement around people leaving towels on sunbeds for long periods when they weren’t using them. Some beds were left empty for hours, occasionally most of the day. Location wise it was perfect for us. There are sea views, restaurants and shops just across the road, a great supermarket with a bakery section and the resort is close to the airport. Although the airport is a bit of a nightmare with their new fingerprint identification system - expect long queues. There is also parking directly outside, although it did fill up most nights, so I imagine it could be very busy in peak season. Since becoming ill, I haven’t really been able to travel with anyone other than my husband, but Sunset View Club is the first place where I could genuinely imagine coming back with a friend or my mum. It feels safe, accessible, well located and genuinely accommodating. We spoke to people who had been returning for 20+ years, and I can completely understand why. We will absolutely come back.

“A lovely relaxing place to stay”

We recently stayed at this resort and found it to be excellent. Great location, very comfortable accommodation, great service. We also really enjoyed the BBQ and music evenings in the onsite Tapas restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and good quality food. We’ll be going back.

“Some issues yet again!!”

This is our 2nd visit to Sunset View Club, and although both visits have been good, both times we have faced a few issues. This is our 2nd visit to Sunset View Club, and although both visits have been good, both times we have faced a few issues. Cleanliness: on arrival both times we found the 1 bedroom unit not fully clean. This second visit wasn't as bad, as it was only a little dusty in places. what was frustrating was that items had not been replaced. For example, the shower gel dispenser was empty. It was the same for the body lotion dispenser and we used what was left of the kitchen roll to clean down the surfaces, some of which were dusty! Happily they were quickly replaced, as the reception are super helpful. The 1 bedroom.is.quite spacious and comfortable, with almost everything you require. The balcony, as we were on the upper floor, is small, whereas on our first visit we had a terrace which was much larger. The terrace apartments come with sun loungers and table/chairs, whereas the upper apartment balcony only has a table/chairs. Both apartments have the same point value through HGV. The pool area is small.and sun umbrellas are fixed and cannot be moved. There is an on site restaurant/cafe. The area is quiet compared to Costa Adeje or Playa de las Americas, with walks to Los Abrigos and Amarilla Golf or the marina. For us this is fine. The apartments are opposite San Blas square with a variety of eating options and a supermarket, albeit expensive. We often rent a car, however, there is a bus service that is useful too. All-in-all, a laid back, quiet resort and area.
