We had a nice chilled week away the we stayed in room 392 it was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfy and a nice view over the quite pool the entertainment at night was good we would watch it from are balcony a couple of nights and the food and drink was good,and all the staff at reception and bar and the entertainment crew and all the cleaners were nice and helpful and are a credit to the hotel,and we were made up for the cheese board and bottle off champagne they left in are room one of the days because we had stayed there a few times thank you very much it was a nice touch and we can't wait to see you all in September 😎👍

We recently stayed at Globales Tamaimo Tropical and had a really enjoyable holiday. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a few really nice bars too, and the beautiful Los Gigantes area. However, one very important thing to note is the hills. The area around the hotel is extremely hilly, and walking back can be quite tough — especially in the heat. Some of the slopes are steep and quite long, turning what looks like a short walk into a bit of a workout. Survival tips: Hydrate like you’re crossing a desert 🥤 Wear proper footwear (flip-flops = regret) Allow extra time (and patience) Consider taxis if you’re tired or not great with steep walking or walking full stop! Mentally prepare for a mini cardio session after dinner If you have mobility issues, this could be a serious difficulty—not just a minor inconvenience. Our 2 bedroom apartment was clean and spacious, with a balcony that had lovely pool views. It was reasonably quiet although we did have a heavy footed family upstairs! Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything tidy throughout our stay. The pools were well maintained and there were always plenty of sunbeds available, which made relaxing very easy. Although the rules state that you should not reserve sunbeds they were, towels and 'spots' were chosen early. However, there were always a few beds around, it was more that people wanted their spot more than their sunbed. Another rule is no inflatables, and, although no one had lilos, there were a few rings, tyres and things, which the lifeguard just overlooked. The staff were one of the highlights – almost all were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. A special mention to Carlos on the bar... He was always smiling and joking, and pouring some amazing drinks! Note that the drinks are a little limited in type but I think we still drank our fair share. The token system works fine and although the glasses are a little small they will refill them, I finished a drink while stood at the bar and got a refill immediately. The queues could be long but we just went to the other bar! The entertainment team worked hard and created a fun atmosphere during the day and evening. Again special mention to Davide, a really nice guy, who tried to get everyone involved, made my nieces day :) Food was generally good with a small variety, although it did get a bit repetitive after a few days. That said, there was always something to find and the dining area was well organised although a little small for the amount of people in the hotel. Red, white and rose wine is available at dinner with San Miguel and sangria also on tap. My only annoyance was that the tea and coffee machines were switched off at dinner and I do like a coffee after my meal. Breakfast was hit and miss, the beans were never hot, and we were there at 8.30 most mornings, and the bacon wasn't bacon... The cheese in the omelets was parmesan and it tasted awful, but that is my own opinion. Yes the food was repetitive mainly fish, chicken and pork but it was ok for a 3 star hotel. and I didnt go hungry... try the soup whatever you do... blooming amazing. Breads were fresh and on a couple of occasions still warm, not sure why some people complain about the butter as all I had was great, wondering if they picked up marg instead or ate the white sliced (sweet, almost American type, have the brown for toast) Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, though I probably would have expected a little more for the amount we paid. It may not be luxury, but it’s perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable break. We would definitely consider coming back. I havent taken off my AI wrist band yet, I dont want to come back to reality just yet.
