Would like to know why the 6.30 dinner guest are greeted with a guard of honour from the waiting staff , and the 7.30 dinner guest get no guard of honour an the odd nod .

This has been our second time at this hotel which has a nice friendly feel with plenty of varied activities bringing people together. The staff are generally friendly with particular note for the animation team. The pool attendants kept the area organised and extremely tidy. The gardens are well maintained and the restaurant food was good quality and varied. We have seen however a decline in standards which has spoilt our experience this time. We won a bottle cava from one of the activities which we obtained from the pool bar which we then took into the restaurant. However, when we took it into the restaurant that night, the wine waiter got very irate allowing it to break into an argument with him saying the bottle should have been obtained from the restaurant not the pool bar. This rule is not stated anywhere and what difference does it make to the hotel where we obtained the cava from? The general fabric of the hotel has declined including the swimming pool paint lifting off the floor: garden pathways lifting up causing trip hazards and the breaking up of the shuffleboard game area rendering that as difficult to play on. Many cockroaches were found around the sun terraces at night particularly around the ping pong table area where there were too many to count. Insufficient staffing around the evening entertainment areas, so despite being on a fully inclusive, you cannot easily obtain a drink. I don’t understand that if you’re wearing a green all inclusive wrist band, that when ordering a drink, you have to disclose your room number too. This new policy undermines the security of the place by sharing with guests sitting in the immediate vicinity that your room is unoccupied!!

“Lovely hotel if you like quiet nights and don't smoke”

The hotel does have a lot of positives. For example the dead sea pool in the spa is really relaxing. The food was tasty, especially the pizza bar. The hotel does have a lot of positives. For example the dead sea pool in the spa is really relaxing. The food was tasty, especially the pizza bar. But....I wish we had heeded the reviews about the atmosphere and smoking. I assumed that other reviewers were being ageist when they spoke about everyone being 60 and over. That isn't the issue, at home some of the wildest nights at the pub are over 60s 😂 its more that the crowd at this hotel were very quiet. Come 10pm everyone is quietly playing uno and any kind of noise or fun is frowned upon. We didn't feel we could use our balcony at all. Even quiet talking was shushed. The other big thing is DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE A SMOKER. Smoking is not allowed in the hotel AT ALL. Not on your balcony, not at the bars, nowhere. If you want to smoke you have to leave the hotel and smoke out on the road at the front. Look, if you are a non smoker this will be great news for you. I'm also aware that this will be how it is more and more but it seemed draconian. I just wanted one spot in the hotel where I could have a cigarette with my drink. So yeah, if you want a super quiet holiday and don't smoke it's perfect. We spent most of our time out of the hotel in the end, which was expensive when we'd paid for all inclusive.
