My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. Very quiet and relaxing. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly. We arrived about 9.30pm and they provided us with a small meal/drink in the restaurant which was a nice touch. The pool is small but fine for a quick dip. Plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day. A lot of people used the sunbeds outside their rooms. We were staying as AI and found the food was very good. Limited in choice but then it's not a big hotel so limited counter space to hold everything. We never went away thinking that meal wasn't good enough. They served Pepsi, 7Up, along with Beer and Cocktails. Like I said, there is not much outside the hotel so if you're looking for more you will have to get a taxi and to Maspalomas it's about 7euros. Evening entertainment was a singer and most were okish. We're in our mid-50s and mixed aged group but probably side to a little older. As @Micky P wrote (Spurs fan if it's who I was talking to whilst here (-; it's a mixed age group at the hotel. We hired a car from Isla Hire cars, about 15mins walk up from the hotel to see more of the island. Certainly recommend spending time at Puerto de Mogan, a lovely little village town with it's own beach and marina. Would we go back to this hotel? Yes, and it's not often we would say that.

I always read the reviews and most are positive. I laughed at the review which said " it was God's waiting room". When we were there it couldn't be further from the truth. We are in our 70's and a real mix of ages. The staff are really helpful and the apartment was compact but clean and comfortable. We were only B&B so can't comment on the evening meal but Breakfast was plentiful with so much choice. Eggs cooked to your liking. If you can find fault with the massive choice on offer then you are far to fussy. The pool area nice and clean, pool, lovely though shallow. Plenty of sunbeds for all. No getting up early to lay out a towel but some still do. Towels were changed every day, bedding twice a week. Not a lot in the surrounding area but a 7 euro taxi to either Playa de Ingles or Maspalomas where you will find plenty of bars and restaurants. Melonares is like a ghost town now with most if not all of the local restaurants closed. A massive cost caused by the " all inclusive" option. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at canary garden club, our welcome from the lady on reception was very warming and we were seated with a plate of salad and fruit which was nice after a late arrival. The hotel is super clean and well maintained, the pool was cleaned every day and the pool area also cleaned in the morning, no rushing to put your towels down sun-beds available all day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the only thing letting the hotel down for us was the food. Breakfast was the best out of the 3, the mixed salads at lunch time were lovely but apart from that we were disappointed. Dinner limited options again, lots of nice fruit and salad but did become repetitive, we ate out twice for dinner at Maximilians which was lovely to switch it up. We would definitely return either B&B or self catering based on the relaxing feel and atmosphere of the hotel just a shame about the food.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place or why people return year after year? My experience of the Canary Garden was okay, but thats it. Good points -Staff were in the main very friendly and helpful - Drinks were okay and plentiful -I got the room i requested which was ideal for me as it got the full sun until about 9pm so I could sit outside on the evening and enjoy a quiet drink. -Everywhere was very clean. Bad points - Sunbeds were grubby looking and very uncomfortable. No cushions available to pad them out. - The cocktails, if you even call then that were very poor and limited - My main complaint was the food! Very poor quality, tough meat and everything was greasy. The bacon at breakfast was 75% fat and inedible. I got the wrong order 3 times for lunch at the pool bar and spoke to other people who had the same issue. The food in the restaurant was barely warm and as far as I could see, there was no microwave available. If the food was hotter it would have made it more bareable. Everything was overcooked and mushy.
