We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing from the moment you arrive. What really made our holiday special was the exceptional service from the staff. A huge thank you to Javi at Ginger, Potes at Shack, Robert at Lemon Fish, Raul from Concierge, Abrahan at Ginger, and Estefan from the Entertainment team. Every one of them was incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. They always greeted us with a smile, went above and beyond to help, and genuinely made us feel valued as guests. Their professionalism and kindness made our stay enjoyable, and they are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you all for making our holiday such a memorable one!

You know when reviews say that the hotel was amazing, the staff were great and everything was wonderful and you’re still wondering whether you should go to that resort - well, trust me this experience at Paradisus lived up to everything positive that everyone is saying. We booked into the Reserve section of the hotel, which is adults only, but the facilities for the families are just as good. Reserve has its own Pool, its own breakfast area and what can only be described as a walk-in wardrobe for cold drinks, all day buffet such as fruit, fresh sandwiches, croissants, bruschetta, regularly available. Five fridges in this area were always loaded with cold water, soft drinks, beers, wine and Cava. As you might expect, the staff came around the pool regularly to make sure it was spotlessly clean offering us fresh fruits, cocktails and cold drinks. Part of the Reserve offering is that you can book the different restaurants all the time and you do not have to go to the main buffet at all if you don’t want to. You have your own dedicated Concierge who looks after all of this and if there’s anything you need in your room, they will sort it straight away. The family facilities looked just as great with a huge area of sun beds right near the beach, dedicated buffet restaurant, kids pool and simply lovely family vibe throughout the hotel. All of the restaurants are bespoke, offering great food. The hotel itself is luxurious and we had a Reserve room with a lovely wet room area, super comfortable beds and a wonderful seafront view. But the main aspect of the hotel is the wonderful service from the staff who all clearly enjoy working here. The staff made the experience exemplary, they were personable, service orientated and impeccable in the way that they treated customers. Anais greeted us as soon as we entered the hotel, made sure we settled in and checked in with us regularly in the first few days. The Concierge service was consistent throughout and she treated us as personal customers with kindness. Christina the hostess at Kanna and Stefanie the waitress at Reserve were superb. They always looked after us, with thoughtful customer service and so professional. Maively, the Reserve lounge hostess ensured the entire area was top notch all day, as did Carla, Lucia and Tania who waited the area - all of them had style and understood the clientele. Alba, Aaron, Andrea and Jose the waiting staff at Peseta restaurant and Mascalzone were superb, so personable, looking after us anytime they saw us. Finally, Moha, Miguel, Analay, Guille, Yuri and Christian who are waiters at the Kanna Beach restaurant were efficient and hospitable. Luis Manuel and Elisa from the guest experience team and Orlando the receptionist added to our experience acting as a regular focal point in our day to day interactions with courtesy and fun. Ultimately all of the staff are happy and friendly, giving excellent service, focused on their customers. Coupled with the lovely environment, this has made the holiday so special and we will definitely be returning.

Quality of alcohol and drink choice amazing quality Gym great and had everything you need Not a lot in area but nice walk 40 minutes along coastal path to playa del ingles Rooms great, shower and bath. After multiple stays at the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora in Tenerife, we decided that this summer holiday was the perfect opportunity to try somewhere new within the Meliá family. Our choice? Paradisus Gran Canaria. The main attraction was simple: direct access to the beach. Having enjoyed our previous stays in Tenerife, we were curious to see how Paradisus would compare — especially as a family of four. First Impressions From the moment you arrive, Paradisus Gran Canaria makes a very good first impression. The hotel and its surroundings are beautifully presented, and there is a pleasant, calming scent throughout the reception area — the kind of subtle touch that immediately puts you in holiday mode. The welcome from the reception team was warm and friendly, and check-in was seamless. One particularly nice touch was the smart room-key wristband, which meant there was no need to worry about carrying a traditional key card around. The children were also given welcome gift bundles in the room, filled with holiday essentials including robes, slippers, towels and toiletries. It was a lovely touch and a great way to make younger guests feel special from the outset. The Room We stayed in a Junior Suite with a street view. The room itself was a good size and comfortable for a family of four. Our only real criticism was the lack of a balcony. While this may not be an issue for everyone, we did find it inconvenient when it came to drying wet swimwear and clothes after a day at the pool or beach. Getting to the room could also sometimes be a little frustrating. There are limited elevators, and during our stay one was temporarily out of service. As we were staying on the sixth floor, the journey could take some time, particularly when the lifts stopped at multiple floors along the way. Bars and Social Spaces One of our favourite areas of the hotel was Ginger, a relaxed and welcoming bar that provided the perfect escape from the sun. It was a great place to unwind, watch TV, play games and socialise. We happened to be staying during the World Cup, and the hotel hosted several events around the matches. Premium seating was available at an additional cost, which is worth bearing in mind if you want a more exclusive viewing experience. Later in the evening, Vibra offered a more adult-focused atmosphere and stayed open later, providing another option for those looking to continue the evening after the main activities had finished. Pool Area and Activities The pool area is a lovely space, although it is not the largest we have experienced at a resort of this type. One thing to note is that drinks around the pool are self-service, so you need to make your way to the bar rather than being served directly at your sun lounger. Towels, however, were plentiful and readily available. For families with younger children, the splash pool is a great addition and looked like a lot of fun. The kids’ club also appeared well organised, well staffed and thoughtfully catered for, we didn’t personally use the service during our stay. There was a good range of daily activities for different ages and interests. However, some activities had limited spaces, so it was important to book quickly if there was something specific you wanted to take part in. Evening Entertainment Evening entertainment was available every night, although this was one area where we felt there was room for improvement. The quality was quite mixed throughout the week. Some performances were enjoyable and entertaining, while others were less memorable. With a little more consistency, this could become a much stronger part of the overall resort experience. The Food: Our Biggest Disappointment The area where we felt Paradisus fell short for our family was the food. To be clear, we were not staying as part of the more exclusive Reserve experience, which offers a different level of catering and service. Our comments are therefore based on the standard hotel experience. Our biggest issue was the limited choice available for children. While the à la carte restaurants were pleasant, the children’s options were again quite restricted. The main buffet restaurant, which served lunch and dinner, also felt repetitive. After a few days, the experience became a little like déjà vu, with many of the same limited options appearing repeatedly. This was particularly noticeable because of our previous stays at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora. One of the reasons we chose Paradisus was our positive experience with the wider Meliá brand, so the food was a disappointing contrast to what we had experienced previously. Final Thoughts Overall, we had a good holiday at Paradisus Gran Canaria. The hotel is beautifully presented, the staff are friendly, the beach access is a real advantage and there are plenty of facilities and activities for families. However, we felt the experience could have been great rather than simply good if the food offering — particularly for children and the variety in the main buffet restaurant — had been stronger. Paradisus Gran Canaria is a lovely place to stay, and we hope the hotel continues to evolve and improve. With a little more variety and consistency in the dining experience, it has the potential to become an even stronger choice for families looking for a relaxing summer holiday in Gran Canaria.
