We were here in early July as a family of four with two young children and had an amazing holiday and were all inclusive, the location is only around 30 minutes from the airport. Upon arrival hotel reception check in was a great experience with very friendly welcoming staff. Offered a glass of champagne, juices for the boys and cold hand towels to refresh and then our luggage taken to our family room. The hotel occupancy was never too busy for the week we were there. Hotel is really lovely, a good few restaurants and the choice of food was very good every day, so much choice at breakfast and the lunch buffets too and had enough variety - you could choose meats and they would cook infront of you. We have never stayed all inclusive before and on this occasion it worked out so well, with two young boys with drinks, ice creams, and with ourselves etc it made such a difference. The family room was pretty spacious and the boys appreciated having their own big tv in front of their beds! The pools were lovely too, one at the back of the hotel had the slides, and plenty of sun beds to choose from any time of the day. Lovely open plan area with a large seating area and windows before you walk out to the main pools. Great selection of drinks from the pool side bars too. Activites in the day, water polo etc.. Was a great area to relax and pools were very safe for the kids to enjoy too. My youngest loved the mini football pitch up in the Kids club area, he would go up there and make new friends whilst playing together. Can't remember her name, but the lady who ran the Kids club most days and ran the disco in the evenings after the first day my youngest realised the football they had was very soft and straight away the next morning she came to us with a pump, thought that was a nice thoughtful touch. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, think this makes such a difference. There was the disco in the evening, then entertainment every night. Some we attended which was good. The World Cup was on too and it showed this in the hotels own Sports Bar which was great. Hotels location is fantastic, a few minutes walk into the Marina where there are plenty of great shops and restaurants. A personal favourite of ours was, that during the day if you wanted a break from the heat, I would take the boys now and again to the market cafe where you could get a drink and a little snack to eat, boys loved the milkshakes and the cookies and this was open most of the day! We ate out a couple of nights and had some great food too. Then a few minutes walk the other direction, it takes you into the nice town. Lovely walks and passing beaches on the way, we hired bikes one day too which was great. In summary, people who work in the hotel are doing a fantastic job from the front of house staff to the backroom. When we had any questions over anything during our stay, staff were very very attentive and helped. We all had such a lovely time and really hope to return in the future...Keep up the great work!

“Great hotel with great location.”

Stayed here recently and loved our family stay. Food in the buffet is great quality and enough selection for the kids. It was so good we are there most nights! Stayed here recently and loved our family stay. Food in the buffet is great quality and enough selection for the kids. It was so good we are there most nights! Nice variety of pools and plenty of fun going on if that's what you are after. One highlight was kids club for our two kids. The leaders were amazing and our kids had an absolute blast. Their favourite times were playing in soft play or crafting! The hotel should be very proud of the Adventure Club and the night time kids activities. Would love to say more about the evening activities but our kids were usually so tired they had to go to bed before the main event but the magician and bands we saw were great!

We have just returned from a last minute week break to this beautiful hotel. We had the most amazing view of the sea and marina in one of the club rooms, and were pleasantly surprised with all of the extras that were provided for club access guests. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The atmosphere at breakfast was calm and relaxed and the staff culture was incredible for a 5 star hotel. The manager was regularly in the restaurant, and rather than ‘checking up’ on staff, was working with them and checking in with them. In other 5 star resorts we’ve been to, staff have looked on edge when managers have been there, but this wasn’t the case here. Breakfast was great, excellent choice and some nice touches like fresh crepes. Club access meant we had access to the lounge where there were hot and soft drinks and sweet and savoury snacks. We made use of this a few times for lunch. We also had access to the Horizon Club, which was an infinity pool overlooking the sea. This was a fairly quiet pool with a swim up bar and absolutely no need to worry about getting beds, no sunbed wars here! With Club access, the mini bar was included and so that was a nice touch also. We much preferred the marina rubicon side of the resort, rather than the beach side, on an evening. We tended to eat out around 7pm, so not super busy, but some places required bookings as they were busy, like Jungle Vibes and Mumbai Lounge. We did use the beach for one of the days but much preferred the Horizon Club pool. I don’t know why but the hotel seemed super quiet. Sometimes even by lunchtime, there were still loungers by the pool. At breakfast, even at 9am, there was barely anyone eating. Maybe it is because they’ve changed hands recently, but it was in our favour because we loved the chilled and relaxed vibe. One tiny, tiny gripe was that there was no supermarket / shop on site but hiperdino wasn’t too far to walk to, and we didn’t need much thanks to the minibar and the lounge. What a treat to book a last minute holiday and get something as brilliant as this in Lanzarote. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

My honest review. This is the 3rd time we have been to this hotel, first time when it was called Dreams, second time when Hyatt was taking it over and the third time with a name change to Grand Hyatt Lanzarote. I can honestly say that it was a disappointment compared to what it was like when it was Dreams. Check in was good with information available and taken to room, a Grand club room, by porter. Room was of a good size, 1112, big bed, separate toilet to shower room which was as you would expect. Cleaned every day, fresh towels and a turn down service. View looking over club pool and sea. Breakfast was taken in the grand club area room, good selection of food, helpful and friendly staff. We had lunch in the Grand club lounge which for us was included in our package, okay for us as we only required snacks. Evening meal taken in the main restaurant. NAO, Food okay with a reasonable choice but much the same every day. Other areas are available to eat but you have to pay for these which as we were on half board we did not use. Did not have to pay extra when it was Dreams. The bar in in the main part of the hotel, difficult to get drinks from when the entertainment is on. An idea more suited would to have another bar in the grounds of the hotel where it would by a little more quite. Entertainment was okay but not a patch on it when it was Dreams. Pools, a good choice, we used the club pool with a swim up bar. Horizon. Grounds are a good size and well landscaped with paved and sand areas. Area hotel in quite and a good location. The hotel has now got a system where you have to use your room key card to order drinks, food etc. which I found painful having to keep getting up when seated to get my card out. Nothing like the old pencil and paper. Staff friendly. I now think that this hotel is 4 stars instead of 5, I have been to many 4 star hotels better than this. Having read this you may say why was we disappointed. Well you would have had to been to the hotel when it was called Dreams. Will we be going to this hotel again, I do not think so.
