We had a lovely week here. The food was AMAZING and was definitely the highlight of the hotel. There was always a good selection; everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff are all very friendly too. Not a bad location, but a 5-10 min stroll to the sandy beach and shops (depending on how fast you walk). The grounds are much more compact than the promotional pictures suggest; we would prefer a slightly larger resort. Daytime activities were poorly advertised, limited only to A4 printouts near the restaurant. The entertainment team isn't allowed to promote activities around the pool/bar, meaning we missed out on most events. It was very quiet around the pool and bar (no music etc), which we liked. We didn't attend any evening entertainment as it's not our thing, but it seems that other guests enjoyed it. The gym was very basic. The cycle and cross trainer weren't plugged in, so a bit pointless I felt. I go regularly to the gym at home but only went once as it didn't really meet my needs. We generally went to the beach or a long walk each morning, back to the hotel for lunch, and then later sat by the pool. Sunbeds and umbrellas were hard to find in the afternoon if you hadn't saved any in the morning. Adding loungers to the large grassy area by the massage hut would easily fix this. There are 2 pools, one is very warm with a jacuzzi in it and the other is freezing cold (that nobody seemed to go in), neither of which I enjoyed. There is a market twice a week which is a good walk along the sea front with shops, bars, restaurants and other beaches to walk past, and a marina and nice selection of shops even if the market isn't on. I think there's a bus if needed. We wouldn't return as it was too small and we've been to Playa Blanca 3 times now, so are bored with it. We would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting excellent food, a quiet hotel and a good location for walking for miles along the sea front, and a sandy beach nearby.

Where to start.....just back from 2 weeks AI and there a good and bad points, not horrendous though. So.. the hotel is very very clean the bungalow had housekeeping every day which was amazing considering it is 3 star, I have been to 5 star and not experienced that. On arrival at 10pm we were told that although the restaurant was closed there was food for late arrivals which was very welcomed. We were in 414 which is big enough for 2 people although there is a bed settee in the living room. Now, although it is immaculate there is a damp smell, we noticed some of the woodwork was swollen due to water which I assume was the cause. A few cracked tiles in the bathroom to, however the shower was great and never short of hot water. I loved the little touches like boxed toothbrushes, combs etc and the free hair conditioner. The beds are very comfortable and ample storage. Each side of the bed had USB ports and side lights. There is an area out the back with clothes airer which is great for damp towels etc. Yes there are things that need attention but it is clean and comfortable. There is tea and coffee and a bottle of water on arrival, the kettle I think pours volcanic water it is so hot. The pool area is good and there are 2 pools one heated and one freezing haha. When we got there the heated pool was on but was turned off the second week as it is now summer. There is a toddlers pool which for adult only hotel is strange but great for cooling down hot feet. They put cleaning bots in the pools each morning which clean the bottom but the sides of the pool could do with a scrub. There are lots of sunbeds which are good if you get the right ones not the all white plastic ones,but as always you cant stop people putting towels out at stupid o'clock. This gets on my nerves because they book the beds then disappear until much later as say 4pm. They should be removed if not back in say an hour which is enough time to go for food etc. This is one of my pet hates. The food is good, plenty of choice but after 2 weeks I was sick of looking at it.no fault of the hotel . Drinks are not branded unless you want to pay extra per drink. The wine is ok but my favourite was rose prosecco The fact you can help yourself to beer, soft drinks and coffee was great because that left the bar free so no queues. There are facilities like tennis, and mini golf but to be honest the mini golf is run down to say the least The staff are amazing so friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. There is a beach close by about 10 mins if you stroll, Rubicon is about an hour's walk. You will find shops at both if you need bits and bobs and there is a market at Rubicon on Wednesday and Saturday The ambience is great, adults only, no loud music, no smoking in main areas, no pool activities just peace and quiet. The entertainment was hit and miss to be honest but there if you wanted it. The big question...would I go back?? Yes for sure when i need to unwind but maybe just a week or 10 days. Remember it is 3 stars but gives you 5 star attention you cant as for more

We have visited twice this year already. It’s a quiet place, exceptionally friendly that’s the staff and guests. It’s very clean and super organised. The staff are a credit to the place, always smiley and helpful and efficient. The beds are comfortable, the bungalows are big enough for two with a good TV in the front room showing a variety of channels including BBC, ITV, channel 2 & 4. Loungers are at a premium in the morning but we’ve always got one, they almost all have a brolly and little tables available. The entertainment in the evening is usually a singer doing a variety of ‘classics’ and sweet Caroline made an appearance 7 out of the 9 nights we were here. It’s well located for a 10 minute stroll to Playa Flamingo or about a 20 ish minute walk to the marina and playa Dorada. The pools are cool but very welcome after getting hot sunbathing, we swam almost every day and they are very clean. There’s access to coffee, tea cold drinks and beer on self service as well as a bar for other drinks like the spirits, cocktails, Prosecco and snacks. There’s a €2 charge for premium spirits if you’d prefer that to unbranded ones. There’s always ample food and a good selection of cold and hot available at lunch and in the evening. Over all we really like it here, we’d come again as it’s such a relaxing place.
