“Clean but lack of entertainment”

We've just spent a week here. The hotel itself was super clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect (241) two bed apartment although a small corner balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was open 9am-7pm clean and easy to get a sunbed. Altho if U want one at the front by the pool U need to be there for 9am. Breakfast was nice and a good choice. The only thing I found disappointing was it was advertised online and on the what's on board with entertainment. The only days we had any entertainment was our last two days (Sunday and Monday) apart from that there was no aqua fitness, no mini disco or quizzes or bingo. Which was very annoying as this was one of the reason we picked the hotel. Altho id recommend this hotel I probably wouldn't return unless the entertainment was daily.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment are cleaned regularly. Good value for money. We did self catering and had all the amenities needed to eat in if you wanted to. Some areas in the room need repair but only very minor eg tiles in one section of the bathroom were detaching and the architrave was loose on a door or two. Nothing major and it didn’t interfere with our time there. The apartment door was unlocked using a wristband which was really handy. One of the days the door didn’t open and the staff opened the door for us then the caretaker came and fixed it very quickly. There were a lot of families and there was a nice atmosphere at the pool. The complex is in a quiet area but a short walk to the beach, shops, pubs and attractions. Siam park at night was really good- teenagers got to go on every ride and had hardly any wait time. We would stay again.

“Dated. Cheap / cheerful”

Rooms are dated ,no air conditioning which is a downside. Pool is overcrowded and if you’re not up early enough you struggle to get a sunbed. Staff are lovely. Rooms are dated ,no air conditioning which is a downside. Pool is overcrowded and if you’re not up early enough you struggle to get a sunbed. Staff are lovely. We had a garden room apartment which is spacious. Kitchen has all you need. But it definitely needs a makeover. Cleaning is poor. In and out in 2 mins. Floors were swept once in the week we were there , no washing , it can get noisy on a nightime. It’s a good 15 minute walk down to centre. Which wasn’t a problem for us. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return

I would like to start by saying that, based on our experience, I feel many of the poor reviews are unfair. We returned home this morning after spending a week at this hotel on a last-minute, budget-friendly Jet2 holiday. There were six of us in total (four adults and two children, staying in two rooms). When we arrived, we enquired about upgrading to a pool room but were advised pop back the following morning as none were available that evening. We arrived at approximately 11pm. Check in was straightforward and took around 20 minutes, with two families ahead of us. The receptionist was polite, welcoming and gave us clear directions to our room. Our initial room was very basic but clean. It didn’t have air conditioning, and it was quite warm, although we had packed a fan just in case. Shortly after arriving, we realised our son’s backpack, containing his Nintendo Switch, tablet and phone, had been misplaced, potentially left on the transfer bus. After a panicked call to Jet2, who were extremely helpful, we thankfully found it where he had accidentally left it in the park when we initially arrived. The beds were comfortable, consisting of two single beds pushed together, which didn’t bother us. The apartment remained quite warm despite the fan and ceiling fan, so air conditioning would definitely have been appreciated. I didn’t hear any noise from people returning late at night, although my husband did hear a few lively groups. Nothing was excessive or offensive. My husband visited reception at 7am the following morning, and by 8am we had upgraded to a private pool room. I believe the upgrade cost €55 per night, and for us it was worth every penny. The private pool was the perfect size for our boys, who had an amazing time. The room itself was again basic and slightly dated but perfectly clean and comfortable. The added bonus was that the pool rooms have air conditioning, which made a huge difference. The beds were comfortable, and even the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. Our older daughter and her boyfriend upgraded to a garden room, which also had air conditioning. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Despite reading otherwise in previous reviews, we found both the shower and hairdryer to be powerful and worked perfectly well. We didn’t spend much time around the main pool or use the bar and restaurant, but whenever we walked past they appeared clean and well maintained. There were quite a few large groups of young people, mainly in their late teens and early twenties, but they all seemed polite and respectful. Some groups left empty vodka bottles around their garden areas, which made those areas look untidy for a couple of days, but it wasn’t something that affected our holiday. Friday afternoon the police attended after a visibly intoxicated Scottish woman was arrested. During the arrest she behaved inappropriately and exposed herself to one of the officers, which was disturbing to witness. From what we overheard, she had been shouting and swearing at a taxi driver off-site, resulting in the police being called. This was clearly the behaviour of an individual rather than a reflection of the hotel itself. Thankfully, our young children didn’t witness the incident as we were only passing by. We also saw the same woman’s partner briefly get into a car outside the following day before bouncing back in with a small bag in his hand. Again this reflects the actions of individual guests rather than the hotel, which cannot control who chooses to stay there. That said, having visible security on site could be beneficial given the number of larger groups staying. The hotel is around a 20 minute downhill walk to the main strip and beach, passing plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. It’s a pleasant walk down, although we chose to get taxis back because of the uphill journey. Taxis were approximately €5 during the day and €10 in the evening. Every member of the reception team we encountered was friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were always cheerful, greeted us every morning, knocked daily to ask if we needed anything, changed towels, emptied the bins and cleaned the room. Our room was thoroughly cleaned, and the beds were changed twice during our week’s stay. Overall, we had a lovely holiday. While the hotel is basic and could certainly benefit from some modernisation, we found it clean, the staff were excellent, and we felt we received good value for the price we paid. Would we stay here again? Probably not but not because of the hotel itself, but because it attracts a lot of larger groups looking to enjoy the nightlife and drink by the pool all day, which they’re absolutely entitled to do. As a family with young children, we prefer a quieter atmosphere where we can truly relax. Having the private pool gave us the option to enjoy our holiday away from the busier communal areas, and for us, that made all the difference.
