Our third visit in four years and still impressive every time. Booked direct by email with La Venecia de Canarias and booked my own flights. The office arranged a private transfer for us, (cheaper than a taxi from the airport.) The apartment (1 bed) was immaculate as well as being air conditioned which was a real treat given it was over 30 every day and we couldn’t fault a thing. The cleaner (amazing lady) arrived every day and insisted on cleaning even though there was nothing to clean, towels changed every other day and linen was changed frequently too. Tracey at the pool bar (Maria’s) is a star and made us feel very welcome. Jez? At Billy’s restaurant equally looked after us really well every time we visited Billy’s, (especially one particular night after my partner tripped over) but to be fair all the staff are great and the food is great too. The Irish Tavern is worth a visit for food but do book a table to avoid disappointment. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that Puerto Mogan is used by UK travel companies TV add’s, there’s a reason for this, it’s a very pretty hidden gem on Gran Canaria, don’t believe me? Go and have a look for yourself!.

Another amazing stay in the beautiful Puerto de Mogan. We requested the same apartment as last year, it wasn't available, but we were allocated the one next door! Loved listening to the sound of the waves from the huge roof terrace. Apartment was spotless, really spacious. We booked transfers, lovely driver waiting for us. On the way back the driver really saved our bacon. We were nearly at the airport when the office called to say the housekeeping had found our passports in the safe!!! ( I know) Drama ensued but the lovely driver got us back to Mogan and back to the airport on time for our flight. Can't thank him, Antonio in the office, or the lovely housekeeping staff who found them enough!

“Location, location, location!”

Wonderful holiday in Puerto Mogan. We'd arranged a taxi to meet us at the airport (60 Euros) and the key was handed to us by the driver, as the office was closed when we reached the village (7.15pm). Lovely way to start our holiday as the driver of the Mercedes was charming and even offered to carry out cases to the apartment. Although holidaying independently, the staff in the office (3 mins walk away) were always on hand and very helpful, and arranged a local taxi to return us to the airport. The well maintained apartment (no:41) is in the beautiful Marina area, with two bedrooms and two bath rooms, situated above a restaurant overlooking the marina (private entrance up steps). The location was outstanding, right in the heart of "Little Venice" with the most amazing views, yet so convenient for the shops and restaurants. There is maid service every day (except Sundays), bedding changed mid-week, clean towels regularly, the use of Maria's pool just up the road, and the most fantastic views. Traditionally furnished with a huge lounge, compact kitchen area, which has everything you need plus a breakfast bar, although we ate outside for all our meals. There is a small table on the balcony (off the lounge) which is suitable for two, but there is a huge roof terrace which gives you the choice of eating in the shade or overlooking the marina with ample sun loungers, chairs, umbrella and spectacular views. The air-con unit is in the lounge area, but there are fans for both bedrooms and we didn't find it a problem to keep cool and the Wi-Fi was excellent - we could FaceTime family back home without a problem. The apartment gave us a perfect base where we could have a leisurely breakfast/lunch/drinks at night looking over the marina, the lighthouse and watch the boats coming in and out. Yet, close by there are numerous cafes and restaurants to suit every taste and I've left reviews on some we used. Highly recommended are Fragata II, Mar Azul and Carpe Diem - one tip, if you get fed up with chips/salad, ask for Canaria potatoes and vegetables instead. If you fancy a change of menu, we had an excellent Chinese meal at the Grand Shanghai (back from the front), but with table outside and delightful staff - there is a green area opposite where children from a nearby table played whilst parents could chat, yet keep a close eye on them. The area of "Little Venice" is immaculate - staff are out sweeping up and watering at 7am, bins emptied regularly and you'll see all the properties are painted in keeping with the area and it's traffic free. Cross one of the bridges into the beach/park area and it's the same clean environment with lovely beach, clear water to paddle/swim, or enjoy some of the water sports on offer. You can even have a trip on a yellow submarine! Finally make sure you're there on a Friday as there is the most amazing market.

“Fabulous ”

This was our fourth time staying here and we weren't disappointed. Situated in a picturesque location, close to the marina and beach. The apartments are spotlessly clean and the reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
