“A little gem.”

Firt class place and clean, nice bathrooms and kitchen all you need,fantastic value. Bus stop very handy just a short walk to Mogan lovely little port and a boat ride away from Pauto Rico. Plenty of bars and restaurants not as cheap as Pauto Rico but you pay for the lovely view.

I was astounded at how easy it was to get to this fantastic pension, beginning with a great flight aboard Air Europa. Once de boarded at the Aeropuerto de Gran Canaria and quickly/easily retrieving my luggage (backpack & walking stick), I just followed the signs to the public bus stand. #91 was a mere €6,80 for the 1.5 hour journey South, and dropped me a few paces away from this great place! Having pre-booked (seems essential nowadays with cellphones), I was led to the uppermost floor (2), assigned the twin-single bedded room 12, and was given a pair of keys on a single ring (one key for the room, the other for entry/access from the outside—excellent security!) it was such a relief to unburden myself of my backpack and just lay down for a spell! There is a small refrigerator, with room numbers on each tray (courtesy of Swedish Suzanne), an excellent organizational method. I certainly filled my tray after visiting the closeby SuperDino food store. This large room also had a kitchen, stove, microwave, utensils available for our use. Two well-supplied WC are attached. This is a less-expensive overnightery which I highly recommend, and certainly has my enthusiastic “Wheel of Approval!

stayed at Pensión Eva for 5 days. Overall, it is a friendly and welcoming place with a good location. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach and only 3 minutes from the Spar supermarket, which is very convenient. There is also a terrace with a beautiful view, and the mattress was comfortable, which made sleeping easy. However, the property definitely needs some refreshing. For example, the doors were quite dirty and sticky, and the place would benefit from repainting and better maintenance overall. When choosing a room, I would strongly recommend staying on the second floor. On the first floor, there seems to be a family member living there (as I had read in previous reviews). Unfortunately, this person was often loud and frequently appeared drunk. He was not harmful, but he caused noise and left the kitchen messy. During my stay, he fried chips in deep oil, leaving half of the kitchen covered in grease. At night or early in the morning, there were disturbing noises coming from the bathroom, including what sounded like vomiting and things being thrown around. The walls are thin, so everything can be heard very clearly. Also, during my stay, the room was not cleaned, and towels were not changed. In summary, it’s a well-located and generally friendly place, but it would benefit greatly from better cleanliness, maintenance, and improved management of shared spaces.
