We had previously visited Southern Teneriffe with our kids some years ago but this time, without our kids, wanted somewhere with a more tranquil environment. Myself and my wife arrived on Fri and from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by the reception team and porter. Room 2640. The broader team including - management, reception, bar staff, kitchen staff, restuarant staff, maintenance, gardeners, cleaners were always polite and very helpful. Lovely people. Special thanks to - Nuria, Gabriel, Laura, Natalia, Jose, Christian, Ivan, Sara, Belen, Roland, Leandro, who have made our visit special. The hotel itself is lovely, we was upgraded to a junior suite and its really impressed us. Our room was immaculate and complete with all modern amenities. The room was cleaned daily. The grounds had a lovely tropical feel, well maintained and complimented by 2 lovely pools, and bars/rest areas. We were half board and the food/service was excellent.. Puerto De La Cruz is small but large enough town to keep you occupied whether it be the local restuarants, bars, cafes, shops, beach areas, local zoo called Loro Parque (5 mins from hotel) which i must say is second to none - dolphin shows, orca shows, sealion shows, parrot shows and my ultimate favourite, the gorillas. Lots more to see and for 44 Euros its a bargain and must see. There is also Lago Martianez, a leisure and entertainment zone comprising seven artificial seawater swimming pools and a large lake, as well as gardens, terraces, islands, ... of the largest outdoor swimming pools. Simply amazing, entry price 7 Euros for adults. We will definately be back in 2027 - Thank you all for making our 2026 holiday special. Neil & Cathy, UK x

“Fabulous hotel”

Fabulous resort, first time staying in an adults only hotel and were converted!! Bliss!! So peaceful, beautiful surroundings, really friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. Fabulous resort, first time staying in an adults only hotel and were converted!! Bliss!! So peaceful, beautiful surroundings, really friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. Wide selection at breakfast which was very tasty. Only ate in the bar and not the restaurant which was lovely too. Family members used the gym and said it was a good one for a hotel. We had a two bed apartment which had a small kitchenette, separate dining bathroom and balcony over looking the pool. Very clean and beds really comfortable. Complementary pool towels each morning was a nice added touch as was the complementary samples given when sun bathing (small Prosecco / strawberry daiquiri) The hotel is about 10/15 walk down hill to the main town with a wide selection of restaurants and bars. Taxi is recommended home as it’s all up hill, cost approx €5 Thank you for a great holiday 10/10, we’ll definitely be back ❤️

“Great stay in Tenerife!”

We loved our stay in the Radisson Tenerife. The rooms were lovely, staff were helpful, food was good and we had an overall mostly relaxing stay! I would recommend and would come back!

I stayed at this hotel for five nights and, while I had an overall pleasant stay, it did not live up to the standards I would expect from a five-star property. In my opinion, this is a good four-star hotel, but it falls short of delivering a true five-star experience. The biggest issue was the room design. If, like me, you need a dark room to sleep well, be aware that there is simply no way to make the room properly dark. During the day, a significant amount of daylight enters the room because, while one side has blackout curtains, the other side has uncovered windows with no blackout protection at all. At night, the problem continues: light from outside enters through these uncovered windows, and the two bathroom mirrors have integrated LED lighting that remains illuminated even in standby mode, with no option to switch it off. We ended up covering both the mirrors and the windows with towels just to make the room dark enough to sleep. This is simply not what I would expect from a hotel in this category. Another issue was the bedding. The duvet was far too warm for the climate and not adapted to the temperatures in Tenerife. Even with the air conditioning running at its maximum setting throughout the night, we still found it too warm to sleep comfortably. Offering lighter duvets during the summer months would make a significant difference. The sound insulation was also disappointing. We stayed on the first floor and could constantly hear people walking in the room above us, doors closing, and other noises as if they were inside our own room. Judging from other online reviews mentioning similar issues, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. The breakfast is generally good and offers a decent variety of food, but there are areas that could easily be improved. The coffee from the machines was below the standard I would expect from a five-star hotel, and the fresh vegetable selection was extremely limited, consisting only of salad leaves and cucumber. The pool towel system was also unnecessarily confusing. It operates with a card system, but no explanation or towel card was provided during check-in, meaning we had to work it out ourselves. The biggest disappointment, however, was how guest concerns were handled. During our stay, I reported the room issues to the reception. The staff listened and assured us they would see what they could do, but we never received any follow-up. For me, this is one of the key differences between a four-star and a five-star hotel. I understand that not every issue can be solved immediately, or even at all. However, what guests should always expect from a five-star property is proactive communication. Even if no solution is available, someone should come back to the guest, explain the situation, and acknowledge the concern. Simply not responding is not the level of service I expect from a hotel in this category. While all staff members we encountered were polite and friendly, the reception team often appeared disorganised and insufficiently trained. Several interactions lacked confidence and clear communication, which reinforced the impression that the service level does not match the hotel’s five-star rating. Overall, the hotel certainly has its strengths. The facilities are pleasant, the breakfast is enjoyable despite a few shortcomings, and the rooms are comfortable in many respects. However, the combination of poor light control, overly warm bedding, inadequate sound insulation, operational inconsistencies, and, above all, the lack of follow-up when legitimate concerns were raised means that this hotel does not deliver the level of comfort and service I associate with a five-star property. I communicated all of these points to the reception staff again during check-out in the hope that they will be taken into account and improve the experience for future guests. I’m
