We booked this through Tui on a late booking which represented excellent value for money. Food was better than we have had in 4star all inclusive. My partner made it for breakfast everyday which is unusual! Tables cleaned and cleared straight away. Pools and beds washed down every morning.Drinks plentiful. Apartment spotless and roomy with WiFi box, iron and ironing board, fridge, kettle and hot plate. Could do with a quieter lounge at night for those that want to get away from the entertainment and the mini disco. Would definitely return.

“Great value, clean and nearly all staff friendly.”

Spent a lovely 7 nights staying at the Morromar, very clean spacious apartment with sea views. The complex is maintained to a very high standard both inside and outside on walkways and the pool areas. All staff worked very hard and were incredibly friendly, all apart from one man in the restaurant who took exception to us being directed to get food by the reception staff on our arrival before the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. On entering the dining room at 9:10pm weary and hungry from our flight, we were greeted by this gentleman shouting at us in-front of the busy room still full of diners stating we were too late and it was impossible we ate! I did try and explain we had been directed here by the reception staff but he continued to shout aggressively, so we left. On return to the reception the staff there were very apologetic. I did witness his bad attitude towards other guests throughout the week, but it never took place when the manager was in the room. Food and drink on the all inclusive was of a good standard with plenty of choice. It was really good to see the Hotel manager around the Hotel working alongside staff to serve drinks and interact with guests. All in all we had a lovely week at the Morromar which was great value. I would love to have given a 5 star review but the experience with the restaurant worker on the first night left a bad first impression, which was a shame. Huge thanks to 99% of the staff for the experience.

We’ve just returned from a 7-night stay at Livvo Morromar. We were sceptical after reading certain reviews on TripAdvisor; however, our expectations were met knowing we had booked a 3-star hotel. We booked two rooms directly through the hotel’s own website on an all-inclusive basis. This was very easy to do, and we also saved money rather than booking a package holiday through LoveHolidays etc. Checking in and out was easy and hassle-free. The female receptionist (we didn’t get her name) was great and very good at her job, speaking excellent English. She also booked our minibus for the short journey back to the airport. Our rooms were spacious, very clean, well decorated and quiet. The beds were quite comfortable too. The apartments included a fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, plates and cutlery etc. The maid changed towels and bedding regularly and did a general tidy-up. After reading previous reviews stating there were no English TV channels, we weren’t concerned one bit as we were there to holiday, not watch TV like we would at home 😆 To use the air conditioning in the room, simply head to reception where you pay a €20 deposit for the AC remote. This was refunded upon check-out using the receipt — no fuss at all. The AC also works very well! The remote operates both AC units in the bedroom and living room. The main pool near the snack bar was very spacious and kept clean at all times. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols available. Access to the pool was chained off until 10am each morning while they cleaned the area, which also prevented people from reserving sunbeds with towels. The snack bar provided soft drinks and alcohol, plus hot dogs, pizza, chips, burgers, salad, ice cream, fruit and cakes. We even took our own plastic pint cups from home and the bar staff filled them up each time with no problem. They are also very generous when it comes to spirits in alcoholic drinks… definitely not complaining there! 😜 The food in the restaurant during the evenings was okay overall. There was something for everyone with plenty of choice. They also had themed food nights including Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Canarian cuisine. Breakfast was very good, with English sausage, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, beans and bacon etc. We had a funny moment when we took a bottle of HP brown sauce to our table and got told off! 😆 We didn’t repeat that mistake — they prefer you to take your plate up and add sauce there rather than taking the whole bottle to your table 😬 Entertainment involved a mini disco to start with, followed by performers until around 10:30pm. The best acts we saw during the week were the flamenco dancers and a solo male singer. There was also bingo on one of the nights. All-inclusive drinks stop at 11pm, but by then we were usually ready to head back anyway. Around a 10-minute walk away is Matagorda promenade. There’s a small shopping centre for souvenirs, plus bars and restaurants. We visited The Farm (which I’ve also reviewed separately), and it’s a hidden gem. One day we walked from Livvo Morromar to Puerto del Carmen, which took roughly an hour, then got a taxi back (€6). There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants along the way, so we wanted to take everything in. Just one suggestion — perhaps they could add more tables and chairs in the entertainment venue, as there seems to be enough room for them. In summary, this hotel met all of our expectations and we would happily recommend it to others! 😊

At first we were impressed with the apartment. Very very pretty, cleaned and spacious. Nothing to complain here. But then, we arrived on a Monday and until Thursday after insisting we did not get our room cleaned nor clean towels, not sure why. The food is okay, some things were dry/ old, they were “recycling” food for the next meal, throwing leftovers fruit from lunch in a salad for dinner, or baking gone off plum tomatoes which you can see they started to get mouldy when they have the stem black for breakfast, why would anyone pick these visible tomatoes to eat them when at home we’d bin them or at least cut off all that area?! I mean it’s a 3 stars place don’t expect something incredible but when it comes to hygiene at least and freshness to be ok, don’t make people go home with e-coli or God knows what. Coffe was undrinkable, only nicer coffe was at the reception coffee machine which was not free like the one included in the all inclusive of course. hygiene wise not great. In the last day our toilet blocked and we couldn’t use the shower nor toilet as it stunk and dirty water was coming back through the shower. They sorted next day but I wouldn’t wash that shower myself after all that so we didn’t touch that bathroom anymore. Also every day when we kept the doors closed it was smelling strong of mould even if none to be seen, I assume it’s in the walls and covered up. Staff friendly, some of them a bit rude, but it’s fine, nothing excessive, some they just don’t enjoy their job and it’s understandable. Worse part? We only eaten, shower, swam, drank in LIVVO apartments during our week holiday. We came back home with a stomach bug, UTI and god knows what, still investigating. So overall.. for a week of relaxation to be a week after sick and unwell and in pain, not really worth it. I wouldn’t blamed their hygiene if we would of eaten out and going places but as we had all inclusive we done everything there.
