We chose this hotel because of the good reviews and it did not disappoint. It is situated at the top of the hill and fine if you’re mobile. It’s a bit of a trek but doable. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff and were offered complimentary drinks. We had a short wait for our room but our luggage was kept securely. The junior suite room was very spacious with everything you need. I loved having sunbeds on the balcony. I also enjoyed the uk channels on the tv. We had such busy days that it was nice to come back and chill in a comfortable room. On the first day, we had a complimentary bottle of wine. Each day we were given a bottle of water for the room. Tea and coffee facilities were replenished every day. Beach towels were provided and could be changed at your request. Rooms were cleaned daily. My only issue was not being able to get ready in front of a mirror. There are sockets in the bathroom for straighteners etc but it doesn’t sit well with me using them in there. There’s a big mirror at the end of the room but nothing at the table which would be the perfect spot. Food in the hotel is amazing and I would recommend being half board. The chicken on the first night was the nicest I’ve had in a long time. My husband said the same about the steak. The service was tricky to understand at first but after a while, we got brave by asking for additional things on the menu. You are given the menu for those who don’t have half board with prices on so we were worried that our meal would come at a price. We realised that we only had drinks to pay for so that was easy. Being waiter service as apposed to a buffet stopped the usual holiday over eating. The themed nights were ok but didn’t feel that special. I did however, enjoy the free sangria on Spanish night. Each morning at breakfast, they ask you to book a time for your evening meal. You don’t just head down at your leisure. We stayed during a quiet week and we never fought for sunbeds. There was some light entertainment around the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was far too cold and that has been the only downside for me. Other guests were joking about grinning and baring it but I managed 5 minutes and that was it. If it was heated, I’d have been in it the whole time. There are other adults only areas and a children’s pool- Certainly something for everyone. We made use of the gym facilities. Staff were on hand to help if it was needed. It was cleaned and managed well. It was a basic gym but had a multi gym, treadmill, cross trainer, benches and weights. The staff work so hard in this hotel and never stop. Everyone is so friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. On our last day, we were able to keep our room on free of charge. It’s a shame we couldn’t have it until 5 as we had a late flight but was ok in the end. I would definitely return here. Room 416 has the sun all day too!

Another lovely holiday at Aqua Suites. We stayed 3 times last year also. Can't fault anything. Hotel is spotless and room cleaning excellent. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful in reception, housekeeping, bar, maintenance and restaurant, especially Sam. Reasonable prices for food and drinks. Breakfast chef is excellent as any hot food I ordered was cooked perfectly and the same at lunch. Have still to try the restaurant in the evening as we prefer to go out. I don't find the walk back up hill to hotel an issue but it is only around 3 euros in a taxi. We love having the sun loungers on our balcony. Have booked to return in June.

We visited the Aqua Suites as a couple. I chose it because while it's a family hotel it doesn't feel like it, it's got more of an adults only vibe. The rooms are lovely with sun loungers on the balconies. All areas of the hotel are spotless. The restaurant is down by the pool. We went bed and breakfast so I can't comment on what the dinner is like. Breakfast was great. Plenty of cold food, cereals, pastries and yogurt etc on the buffet. Hot breakfast order is then taken by staff and cooked from fresh, no dried out sausages or streaky bacon sitting in puddles of fat. Good proper Irish/ English breakfast items like sausage, bacon, egg, beans, mushrooms and hash browns. The hotel is up a hill just off the strip. The hill isn't the worst one there but if you've mobility problems it might not be ideal. It's just far enough from the strip to be lovely and quiet but near enough to the night life. This has become our go to hotel in Puerto Del Carmen. Staff are lovely and efficient.

This is a really good small hotel. As with most things it does depend on what you are looking for in a holiday hotel that will determine if this is a perfect hotel for you or maybe you should look elsewhere. Aqua suites will be perfect if you are looking for a smaller hotel that is more personal and quieter than some of the other options in the resort. The rooms are bigger than average and are in good condition. The bed is huge and very comfortable and the balcony sizeable to not feel cramped like some alternatives. When you arrive there is a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge and bottled water is delivered daily. The pool area is spacious and not overcrowded at anytime meaning we never struggled for a sun bed once. There is a good selection of background music played around the pool that is not intrusive. If you want loud music at volume and games in the pool then this is not for you. If you require relaxation and a relaxed atmosphere this will suit you. The staff are brilliant, all of them. They are attentive and friendly and treat you like friends. They have time to chat and are not permanently rushed off their feet. We only ate in the hotel for breakfast and it was really good. It is not as expansive as the buffet breakfasts in the Caribbean or Far Eastern 5 stars but that can sometimes feel like feeding time at the zoo. The breakfast menu is limited but offers more than enough choice and it is all freshly cooked for you. Location wise the hotel is a short 10 minute walk down a hill. It’s a slightly challenging walk back up but nothing that anyone who is generally healthy can’t do with ease. The only slight negative here is the gym which is pretty much non existent. A few pieces of gym equipment that are in a very poor state. I think having a ‘gym’ adds to a hotels starting but this isn’t really a gym. In summary this is a brilliant place to stay if you value peace and quiet, great relaxation and a personal style of service. If you want activities and loveliness then this wine be for you.
