The apartments are quite spacious, we got one bedroom opposite the pool. Location is near beach. Unfortunately we had to spend our days at the beach paying for umbrella and sunbeds because unless you want to rise at 6 or 7am to join the herd mentality of sourcing an umbrella and marking it with your towel, then wait for unlocking of beds to grab them, which is not a relaxing holiday atmosphere to me. I notice management responded to reviews mentioning the same scenario but still have not addressed this madness by implementing any rules or method to avoid this . Each apartment should be allocated an umbrella and beds by apartment number so you can sit by pool comfortably outside your apartment and not have to source these in a race in early morning hours. Many of the acquired beds marked with towels are not being used all day, just secured to use at whatever time of day chosen or maybe not at all. Absolutely ridiculous carry on, this scenario alone would prevent me booking here again which is unfortunate because the accommodation and location is very good.

“Not a bad place”

We arrived as a family group of 10. We arrived just before 1pm. On arrival as was expected the rooms were not ready. We had 3 booked. We were informed the luggage room was full and only for some of our party been here before they knew of a room upstairs that we could get changed and store our luggage, otherwise we could have been sitting in reception for 2 hours. Just be prepared for this happening.. We had a studio which in comparison to there places we've stayed was quite small but served us for the 2 weeks. They do supply hand soap in the bathroom and washing up liquid in the kitchen which was handy. The accommodation staff were so polite and very hard working..I can't say the same about some of the reception staff who were quite often rude not just to us but to others. The location is perfect albeit up a hill but very central and very close to many bars and restaurants. The sunbed situation is actually alright we had no issue any morning and managed to get 2 parasols .. They possible could change some of the parasol bases and get more parasols. The food at the pool bar was very reasonable priced and quite surprised how nice it was. Overall it was a pleasant stay and glad we chose this hotel.

We (middle-aged mum & teenage son from Scotland) stayed here for a week at the end of June 2026. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and it was more or less what we expected. When we stayed, the other guests were 99.9% Irish, so we felt like we were the odd ones out, but it wasn't a big deal. It was our first time in Puerto del Carmen, and we were basically just after some cheap sun in a location that wasn't party city but not in the middle of nowhere either. Positives: - Close to the airport but not on the flight path. - In a quiet location close to the strip and beach. - There is a HiperDino just a couple of minutes away, no need to bother with the hotel's own tiny supermarket which mainly stocks toys and toiletries. - 2 pools: a quieter one and one with a poolside bar, loud music, and an animation team. - The accommodation was basic but good, with good aircon and regular cleaners. - 24 hr reception with Tui rep. - International TV channels, covering the Nordic countries, UK, Germany, France. Useful for the World Cup! Negatives: - Sun bed wars at dawn, as expected. For some reason, the staff stopped chaining up the sun beds mid-way through our stay. Perhaps they gave up, since some guests made sure to use their sun beds past closing time, so that they could leave their beds and towels out until the next day. Would have been better if staff had asked them to leave, and then chained up the beds again, but I can see why they wanted to avoid confrontation over this every day. - Some marijuana smells by the pool, even though the majority of guests were families with young children. -Some noisy, inconsiderate neighbours arriving back late at night - but difficult to avoid this. Soundproofing of rooms is not great. - Extremely basic equipment in the kitchenette. A colander for pasta would have been useful, for example. Luckily we snaffled some salt and pepper sachets at the airport - there is nothing like this in the room. - The Wifi was rubbish in the rooms. - The resort itself is a bit Benidormsy, but you can find some gems among the hundreds of generic Irish bars and tourist tat shops. We walked to Biosphera, the old town, and we also booked a fishing trip in Puerto Calero on Get Your Guide, and this was the highlight of our holiday.

Apartments comfortable for what they are. For our stay, two bedroom apartment (one double bed + two single beds) with sofa bed in lounge. Had to move sofa bed into bedroom due to lounge room being a bit light even with curtains shut. Apartments are spacious. Was here for two weeks and couldn't figure out the cleaners rota. Some days the apartment had a change of towels, or the floor had been swept. Couldn't tell if the bed sheets had been changed or the bed had been re-made. Hob cooker, kettle, microwave/ grill, cutlery in kitchenette. Has a Tui kids club, I believe this is for Tui customers only. Different activities on the board but all are arts and crafts. Compared to other Tui kids clubs we have used in previous holidays this one is by far the worst. Pool entertainment team do there best to get everyone involved. Water polo, archery, VR scuba experience, foam party (on Fridays). The others are scattered over the course of the week. Water polo is on everyday. Sun loungers are stacked and chained locked until 9am. Wasnt a mad rush for them, a few waiting. But got as many as you needed regardless. More a dash for umbrellas. Main pool has chained barrier around it in mornings and remains like that until 10:30am. Not ideal. Entertainment at night was a let down. Kids entertainer (tall girl with long wavy hair) did her best to get each kid that was there involved with kids mini disco, even if they didnt she made them feel welcome by engaging in conversation. The entertainment at night, after kids mini disco was poor. The show went on no matter how many were in the audience but it wasn't a good atmosphere as there were very little there. A shame. Plenty along the strip which is about a 5 min walk down hill. Snack bar is good and reasonably priced. All in all, had a good stay here. Would recommend to stay here if it was just to use for somewhere to chill throughout the day/ sleep at night.

Good location just 5 min walk uphill from main strip and beach. Clean. Studio apartment good for one or couple. I would ask for accommodation in the back pool area as very noisy in large pool. All hotels I have stayed in the canaries have a strict no saving sunbed policy where the lifeguard removed all towels. HERE the opposite. The madness starts at 7.30 as the men are sent out to grab 1 of the 17 parasols for 40 apartments. Then they sit outside waiting till 8.30 for the locked up sunbeds to be grabbed and towels placed on for the day. People don't sit on them until 3pm or not at all. There would be enough for everyone if this wasn't allowed. Affects the atmosphere and creates stress. I wouldn't stay again for this reason alone.
