2 x 40-something friends wanted a quiet relaxing few days away in the sun and that’s what we got After a very early flight and a very short transfer our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but could store luggage and take a wander around to get our bearings Our room was right at the end of the hotel, very clean, spacious, and had a decent balcony with evening sun and wasn’t overlooked (room 267) Went B&B and was happy with the selection of food for breakfast We also ate at the hotel every lunchtime, very reasonably priced lunch, fairly big selection, lovely chicken bacon wraps! We were able to get a sunbed each day but there wasn’t enough on 1 of the days, with people seeming rather annoyed Plenty of shops bars and restaurants within walking distance for our evening meals out The average age of the clientele is 70+ so we didn’t hear any late night/early morning door banging with revellers coming home as everyone seemed to be tucked up in bed once the evening entertainment was done (we didn’t see any) If you want peace and quiet then it’s the place to go Anything a bit livelier I’d suggest finding somewhere else

We recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a real mixed bag. Starting with the positives, the bar staff were excellent, and a special shout‑out goes to Mohamed, who was by far the best and most attentive member of the team. Thank you for looking after us 😁 Rooms The rooms are very compact, and our first room had a tiny balcony overlooking the flat roof of the dining room. We requested a change, which was granted, but even then the balconies weren’t private. We often avoided sitting outside because we didn’t want to be in such close proximity to neighbours on either side. Check‑in was also disappointing — our room wasn’t ready by the 2pm check‑in time, and after an early flight we would have really appreciated being able to settle in. Dining The dining room had more of a canteen feel than a hotel restaurant. No linen tablecloths at dinner, despite the hotel photos suggesting otherwise. Food quality was poor, with low‑cost items appearing frequently — liver, mushroom risotto, sausages — and when pork or beef was served, the cuts were cheap and chewy. I have a gluten allergy, and the lack of clear labelling made meals stressful. The chef will walk you through the options, which is helpful, but it’s not a substitute for proper signage. Cross‑contamination was a concern, especially at breakfast where cheese and ham toasties were cooked on the same griddle as fried eggs. Pool & Facilities The pool area was clean, but sunbed reserving was a big issue. Many people claimed beds early and didn’t use them until mid‑afternoon. We didn’t go into the pool ourselves — the reactions of those who did made it clear it was very cold! On a positive note, cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. Location The location is fantastic. Step outside and you can walk in either direction to a great selection of bars, shops, and restaurants. We walked to the old town, the harbour, and in the other direction beyond the airport towards Playa Honda. Buses run regularly along the main road. The sea is just across the road, with a gate leading directly to a zebra crossing — very convenient. There are SPAR supermarkets close by in both directions. Entertainment Entertainment was offered every night, with some acts genuinely good — the African dancers and circus act were highlights. Others were very short, with nothing following them. If we had been all‑inclusive, we would have been disappointed. The entertainment team didn’t introduce acts professionally, and the guy kept walking on and off the stage during performances, which really disrupted the atmosphere. The ambience wasn’t great either — full bright lighting during shows instead of softer lighting made it feel flat. Staff Reception staff were generally friendly and helpful, aside from the issues at check‑in and the room not being ready. Overall: A clean hotel in an excellent location with some standout staff, but let down by food quality, room design, and inconsistent entertainment. With a few improvements, it could be much better.
