This was our 3rd stay at Hipotels La Geria. Staff as always were fantastic, always happy to help and always happy to serve. An excellent selection of food for breakfast and evening meals (we were only half board). Location is brilliant, everything you need is within walking distance although we did use electric scooters to go watch the planes landing this time (I have a dodgy knee at the minute). We will definitely be going back, sooner rather than later hopefully.

fantastic hotel,been twice now and i will be back,great location and a very chilled out atmosphere.rooms are spotless,food could be a bit more varied but we always found something to eat,all the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable,would highly recommend this hotel

We have just returned from a wonderful seven-night stay at this hotel during the half-term holiday. If you are reading this review, look no further; you have found an excellent hotel. We are a family of 5: two adults and three children aged 11, 17, and 18. I am a bit fussy about accommodation standards. The hotel is about 15 – 20 mins form airport and we were 3rd stop. The hotel is impeccably maintained and exceptionally clean. All rooms appear to be sea-facing (if I am correct), and they are clean and sufficiently spacious for the duration of our stay, primarily used for sleeping and bathing. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, television, and mini fridge. Beach towels are provided free of charge and can be exchanged after three days. The pool opens at 9:00 AM, and loungers (reportedly) cannot be reserved in advance. We typically left our room on the fourth floor around 9:00 AM and were able to reserve loungers before heading to breakfast. The food selection was good, and we consistently found something suitable to eat. The beach is located across the road at the end of the swimming pool area. There is a zebra crossing, and the road is not heavily trafficked. Be aware that the sand is very hot. The pool table costs 2 Euros per game. Chess, table tennis, and mini golf are complimentary. There is a tennis court; however, our three children mentioned that it costs 19 Euros per hour (though I cannot confirm the accuracy of this fee), so we did not use it. Ishmael from the Funtastic team was outstanding. He kept our children entertained throughout the week with a variety of activities beyond those listed above. The hotel would not have been the same without him. Entertainment offerings were somewhat inconsistent, which is common at most hotels. The performances by Detroit and the juggling and acrobatics duo were particularly impressive. The drinks service was variable; sometimes it was prompt, other times slower, and occasionally forgotten (but could’ve been translation issues) so I found it sometimes easier to go to the bar. The dining room staff were consistently helpful, especially since our party of five did not quite fit at a standard table. Check-out time is at 12:00 PM. There are free showers and a changing area available for use if your flight is later in the evening and you’ve been using the pool during the day while waiting as we did. All staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would definitely return if we visit Lanzarote again. Suggestions for improvements: - Investing in additional sun umbrellas, as there are approximately 20 to 25 ish loungers without shade. These tend to be left until last as it becomes very hot. - Implementing a central tip box near reception to allow guests to contribute at check-out, ensuring that tips are distributed fairly among all staff members, rather than having separate tip boxes in the bar and dining areas. This would help ensure that all hardworking staff are adequately recognised. - Adding football goals and/or basketball hoops to the tennis court to make it a multi-use facility. Over the seven days, I observed that the courts were not used, and they seem to be a wasted space. Our children would’ve loved football goals. We had a lovely week here with our family. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food and drinks were of a very good standard. The spa facilities were excellent, and all of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. A special mention goes to the entertainment team, particularly Tracy, who was fantastic with our grandson. Despite there being very few children staying at this time of year, she made a real effort to ensure he was included and had a great time. Her kindness and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated and helped make our stay even more enjoyable.
