For a relaxing stay this hotel ticks all the boxes. Great food the choice is amazing and I never got bored with the food. I could happily of stayed another couple of weeks. A massive thank you to the waiting staff in the smaller dining room, they work hard and person centre your experience. Now for the negative grown adult men using fingers to pick up pastries then putting them back and yes I did educate him on the use of tonges which are supplied on mass. He claimed not to have noticed them.

This is about our 5th or 6th visit here in 14 years. We have holidayed at different times of the year including New Year, with and without teenagers and again, we are not disappointed. The last time we were here was pre COVID. Pleasantly surprised at all the changes. Extension to seating area for restaurant, main swimming pools upgraded, rooms upgraded, bar area in reception and decor just fab. Hotel is in two parts main bit and further over the older part with hairdressers, gym, shop, wellness studio and disco. It is a pretty building with more rooms bar and pool. The place is utterly immaculate. The staff work constantly but not intrusively, inside and outside. The gardens are beautiful. Staff are friendly and polite, always. Check in was simple and we asked and were granted a room extension until 13:00 on day of departure at an extra cost. Not always possible but shy bairns get nowt. Hotel has lifts and there are ramps and inclines and charging points for electric wheelchairs. A few bars. Cocktails, all preblended in a machine if needing a bit stronger ask for an separate shot of chosen spirit (not premium). Restaurants: great choice of salads, mains, fish is fab, and sweets at both lunch and dinner and breakfast was continental choice or a good ole bacon and egg and everything inbetwwen croissants, fruit, chocolate, pancakes. Nom nom. Pepes is the in between snackbar with usual provision of burgers, cheeses onion salami sausages salad nuggets etc. It fills a gap if u are not wanting to use restsurant at lunch. Staff and chefs lovely. Manoli, if you ever read this you are a sweetheart, your smile and welcome daily was a joy. Plenty of sun lounges around pools. Can get a bit noisy when activities are on but that is just holiday fun and only about twice a day. Bedrooms: big. Lovely patio area with a hedge for privacy we were on ground floor near tennis courts. Queen size bed and a divine mattress! Usual blackout curtains and room was quiet. Nice size bathroom. Only a couple of things. Ants on the patio, room occasionally smelt of eau de drains....and the pools were bloody freezing. I did not go further than my ankles omly once. I have been here years ago when pool was warm..this was really disappointing. But look, minor stuff we didnt report but i have not doubts whatsoever if we had it would have been addressed..just wasnt that big a deal to us.....except the pool😌. We have stayed with the RIU chain many times in different places and it really is a fab chain. Recommended!

Another visit to this great hotel. Fifteenth visit over the years . Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Food is good but a bit repetitive. Another visit to this great hotel. Fifteenth visit over the years . Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Food is good but a bit repetitive. Plenty of sun loungers and didn't see any mad rush at dawn to put towels on. Disappointed with the world cup coverage in the hotel,they didn't show any of the late games and most of the ones they did show without commentary. One of the reasons we picked here this year was the world cup.

Recently stayed here for 7 nights, booked through Tui. We had two rooms, a Twin and a Junior Suite, close together on the third floor in the old side of the hotel, over the bridge. Both were nice and clean, though the balcony views weren’t great and lacked privacy due to their proximity to neighbouring balconies. The hotel is huge, originally two hotels merged into one, and feels like a bit of a maze at first, but you get used to it. Most days we relaxed by the quieter pool, with plenty of sunbeds available, but the water was freezing in early to mid-May, so we didn’t go in much. The weather, however was mostly sunny and lovely! The hotel itself is nice, staff were pleasant, but compared to other Riu Hotels I've stayed at, the food was disappointing—bland, repetitive, lukewarm, and tasteless. One evening we tried the Asian restaurant hoping for better quality and table service, but apart from the waitress taking drink orders, it was still a self-service buffet. The food there was slightly better than the main restaurant, though. After the first couple of days, we stopped eating at the hotel except for occasional poolside snacks. There are plenty of great places to eat nearby—out the back gate, turn left, walk 15–20 minutes, then right at the roundabout along the front. Highly recommend Jungla Bar and Devon Restaurant for delicious home-cooked meals. The entertainment team worked hard, always around during the day, with shows in the evenings. We caught a couple, including an Abba tribute—well, half of Abba, just the two women! I’m in my 50s and travelled with my mum in her 70s, and I’d say the average age of guests was similar. The hotel had a disco that opened late, but it was never very busy. There’s plenty of nightlife on the main strip—just head out the back gate, turn right, and after a fairly long walk, you’ll find it, or take a taxi for about 5 euros. There are lots of Irish bars with live music to enjoy. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but with the single room occupancy supplements and eating out most days, it turned into an expensive week.
