Came for a 4 night break with my daughter and my friend and were delighted with our stay. From checking in at reception the hotel was clean and modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 5016 which was amazing. Right beside the adults only pool and got the sun from 2pm onwards which meant we could use our own sun beds and pop into the pool and use the bar which was seconds away. The room was spotless and had very comfortable beds. I slept on the sofa bed which was also very comfortable and the air con was great. We used the adults only buffet restaurant for all three meals, as we were all inclusive and cannot fault the food. Plenty choice, cava for breakfast was a lovely touch and we of course took advantage. The cocktails were lovely as was the house white wine. The snack bar we used on the last day and was well stocked with sandwiches nuggets and chips. The freezer had plenty ice cream pots which was welcomed in the hot weather. The grounds are spotless and very well maintained by the plentiful staff on site, so was lovely to walk around. There was a film showing at night for the kids which looked great and well attended by all ages. Entertainment was on every day and sometimes in 2 locations, and from what we saw the team put on great shows and was enjoyed by all. We have now booked to come again in November with our husbands as lanzarote has some great cycling options for them. The hotel is in a great location for a short 10min taxi ride from the airport which cost 13 euros and lots of restaurants, bars and supermarkets within a short walk. All in, I would highly recommend this hotel for all ages but for us, we loved the adults only areas.

“Lovely family friendly hotel”

Had a lovely time at the hotel. The food was great and plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 2 girls had a great time when visiting the kids club with Candy,Angie, Amelia and Christiana. Would definitely return sometime in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at Aequora. We came to stay for 4 nights, never been to Lanzarote before- the hotel and local area were both just perfect. For starters, the hotel is so close to the airport, with the 161 bus running regularly and taking about 5 minutes to get to the hotel, costing around €3 for two people. On arrival, we were greeted with friendly staff and a spotless, spacious room with a generous balcony. The room had a TV which showed the main UK channels, a coffee machine and kettle. We had issues with our TV on the first night and couldn’t get it to connect- we reported this to reception the following morning and within about an hour, someone came and fixed it. The food was just brilliant, we stuck to the main buffet just because it was so tasty with so many options. The only minor thing I noticed was that sometimes the labels above food didn’t quite correlate with what was below it, sometimes with things in the wrong order. Obviously not a huge issue, but may be for people with allergies/food preferences etc. However, if in doubt, there’s plenty of staff members who are happy to help and advise on what’s what. Besides this, the food was delicious and the service was great. We stayed on the basic all inclusive board, and expected that we could only have beers/wines, but once we looked through the menu, we realised we also had access to a range of cocktails and spirits which was a bonus! We spent most of our time at the adults only pool which was really relaxing and clean. We noticed that sometimes people would come down early and claim beds with their towels, so we were worried we many struggle to find beds on busier days. However, the lifeguard at the pool was on it- she had made note of who has left their towels and had not been at the pool for a long time, and removed these towels and held them at the hut for collection, which I think is great, it stopped people struggling to access beds when they need. The bars were great also, we mainly used the Theatre bar which had a snack section for us to use between meals also. The location itself is great- aside from being so close to the airport, it is a couple minutes walk to the shops and beach, so we enjoyed a lovely, easy walk every morning after breakfast. On departure, check out was at 11am, however we had a later flight. Without extra charge, we were allowed to continue to use the facilities (inc pools/bars/restaurants) until we wanted to leave, and could leave our bags at reception also. Overall, we could not have enjoyed our stay more, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. We did not expect to love it as much as we did, and I am sure there is a high possibility we will return someday.

“A brilliant family holiday”

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel and we had a brilliant time. We booked this holiday last minute at a very good price and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. We travelled with 3 children (7,5 and 1) The hotel is in a great location, 10/15 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. The room (junior suite) was great we had requested a ground floor room close to the splash park and we were fortunate to receive just this. The splash park was one of the reasons we wanted to visit as we have an 18 month old. There were issues with the splash park being extremely slippy and causing incidents however the hotel couldn’t have been more responsive in resolving the matter. I emailed to notify of the issues the next morning they spent over 3 hour cleaning and did this each morning for an extended period of time each day to ensure it was as clean and non-slip as possible. They listened and replied to all concerns and the customer service received was fantastic, there wasn’t just a generic response they acted quickly on the points made and ensured we were happy with the outcome. Over the stay staff would come round several times a day checking things were still ok around the splash area too and took action if required. The kids animation team were brilliant, our older children loved the activities, mini disco and park, the kids club staff were brilliant with the children, our children don’t often wish to get involved in kids club but they asked daily to go and join in, they did slip and slide in the pool, foam parties for the kids, they were really good and the staff were exceptional with the children. We also liked we could stay and play with our 18 month old when she wanted to play. The main pools were busy and we sometimes did struggle to get a seat but there was always seats free around the splash park and we never waited long for a seat round a main pool if we wanted. Again the hotel started putting more seating out around the pool to try and offer as many beds as possible. We found all staff to be very helpful and accommodating. Our room was cleaned daily to a great standard. You do have your pay for the safe and leave a deposit for beach towels in cash, which we haven’t experienced before at a 4* however it wasn’t a big problem. The food was brilliant, we normally visit hotels with à la cartes for the variety in meals however we had no issues here with the buffet, there was always something for everyone including our 3 children who can be fussy in what they eat. The restaurant was always clean and ran exceptionally well, there was always fresh food being brought out and the drinks service in the restaurant was fast and efficient. The bar could be busy at times however we never waited more than a few minutes even at peak times. At night time the children enjoyed the disco, the entertainment at night was good and we loved that they showed a movie each night outside we really enjoyed this. For any runners there are great flat running routes along the beach which is easily accessible from the hotel with lovely views. We really enjoyed this holiday for the price paid we felt we got exceptional value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
