We arrived at 11:30pm and all shops shut. Thankfully, they had given us a bag with sandwiches, fruit, juice, biscuits, water and there was wine in the room. Rooms were a nice size, big wardrobe for clothes and 10 hangers. Beds although on a flimsy base were actually really comfy. Our room (B102) was on the poolside which was perfect for us. If you want a quieter room I imagine you can request one further from the pool. We preferred just being able to step out of room onto the balcony and also cater from the supermarket rather than the poolside bar. Our view was great. We decided to book without breakfast. We did eat breakfast once which was €18 each but plentiful including fizz and decent coffees. They have trolley bags you can borrow in reception for your shopping which was a great help. Atmosphere during the day was chill, just sunbathing and dipping in the heated pool. The level upstairs had Balinese beds and a jacuzzi with amazing views. The gym looked ok but we didn’t end up using it as we walked everywhere and the steps twice a day are plenty of exercise! We didn’t use the sauna either because we were too hot! But you can just ask reception if you want to use it. We didn’t find the staff (apart from in the bar) particularly welcoming and you kind of had work things out for yourself but that was ok for us. We had towel robes , slippers, fresh pool towels which also was good. Cleaning was frequent and great. You can opt out of cleaning/ fresh towels and linen which we did which I think is better for environment. I agree with other reviews that the nighttime is very quiet once bar shuts. It would’ve been nice to have the bar open later. The closest bar is the Irish bar but it feels like you’re sat in a car park there! Few tips: Get a private transfer. The transfers were awful 1.5 hours and 7 drop offs before us. It’s actually only 30 mins from airport direct There’s a door to get out to the steps by the gym so you can miss out about 50 steps when going out/ coming home. If you can’t be bothered walking far, El Gaitaro near the hotel/ hyperdino and Irish bar was best meal. We also enjoyed Waikiki bar at the far end of the beach for a few meals. We had some great days out, we like walking so we walked to Amadores beach for a fab beach day. Also walked to Patalavava beach up over the hill via Anfi then caught to bus to Mogan from there and the ferry back. We also took the supercat for the day which was great fun. Puerto Mogan is beautiful and worth a trip up to the viewing platform.

Marina Bayview We booked this 9 night hotel last minute as part of a Jet2 package holiday when our holiday to Thailand was cancelled. We arrived late at night and were allocated room D107 by the security guard. We were asked to come back and check in at 0930 the next day. Our self-catering room was a spotlessly clean duplex facing out onto a solarium with a fantastic view of the marina. Caution - the apartment had very steep marble stairs – making me slightly nervous. In addition, there was nowhere to put your case, very limited storage space and nowhere to sit and apply make-up (unless you consider the mirror on the very steep marble stairs!) We spent most of our trip on the decking that also had a jacuzzi. We ventured to the pool a couple of times but there was no atmosphere. We were also disappointed that there was no option to have a drink in the hotel after 6pm – the hotel are missing a trick there. No evening meals either. We did attend the only event advertised during our stay – which was cava and tapas in the bar. More events like this would be welcomed. Due to the location of the hotel, we did begin to get bored. There were around 160 steps down to the ground level where there was a supermarket and a handful of places to eat. Commercial Centre around 20 minutes walk. We were surprised how early places on the beach closed (7pm in some cases)! Due to the steps - not suitable if you have mobility issues. We had a nice holiday but would not visit this hotel or resort again.

We stayed for a week bed and breakfast in Deluxe Room D202 The stairs leading up to room light didn’t work so take care also no light on balcony for an early morning coffee Breath taking views over the marina and lovely afternoon sunshine. Very comfy bed. Good size. Good air con in room. The room itself was duplex but i’d say smaller than we had imagined. It was very similar size and lay out to 3 star Cordial Green Golf Bungalows. maybe a tad more modern inside. It was my birthday whilst there we receive a bottle of fizz on arrival but believe that is standard with all deluxe rooms so no acknowledgment of special occasions which isn’t a given but would have been appreciated. There wasn’t enough plugs in the room. One at each side of the bed and the rest were downstairs. Which isn’t ideal with phone and watch chargers and if i needed to dry or straighten my hair. Also to note i am unsure of voltage as our phones and power bank didn’t charge fully while week. it is probably the first 4 star we have been to that didn’t replenish the coffee capsules but we brought our own as back up We had to ask reception for toilet roll a couple of times as it wasn’t replenished but no big deal We wanted to stay up by the hot tub near our room but this was almost impossible due to people reserving the 12 beds from the night before and at 6am then disappearing for hours. Breakfast was fab. point to note is they do omelettes to order. this isn’t explained by staff and there is only a small card in the buffet area advertising it. i recommend ordering these. Breakfast selection was good, nice quality. however temperature could be better or the use of a microwave wouldn’t go a miss. Enjoyed my cava every morning with breakfast. We went to the gym every morning and unfortunately the majority of equipment was broken so i had to just get a mat and weights and make do. Also the water machine didn’t always have water in it so take water just in case. We went to the bbq on the friday night. disclaimer this was complementary as i had pointed out at reception that the gym is no functional. Bbq was lovely however i expected an actual bbq but it was just meats that had been cooked then presented in the buffet area. Nice none the less The ladies who do breakfast and bbq service are all lovely. We paid £1900 for 2 bed and breakfast first week in April which is probably in line with the standard of accommodation We would return - but maybe not in a deluxe room. We enjoyed our week. when staying go to Fusion Nube for a meal 10 mins from hotel Thank you
